Buck Acres near Lake Conroe, TX
14 units · Motorhomes, Tents6 acres · Montgomery, TXThe previous owner had plans to turn our property into a 42 site row by row RV Park. Once we saw the beauty of the property, we knew we had to keep it as wild and pristine as possible. On 6.5 acres the perfect number of sites was 18. Sorry, we are still under construction but excited about our progress! See a short video at https://www.buckacresrv.com Buck Acres is technically not even an RV park, we just want to share our property with fellow travelers so we added some gravel roads. The only amenities are a Wi-Fi, 50/30/20A plug-ins, a porta-john and water. We use HipCamp and The Dyrt for bookings or just give us a call or text at (832) 303-9940 "Close to everything, away from it all" We're in the country but close to city amenities and beautiful Lake Conroe. It's only a few minutes from April Sound and the largest marina on Lake Conroe, 8 minutes to Wal-Mart and Kroger, yet it's peaceful and quiet on our forested property. As full-time RV nomads ourselves we know RV park rates are getting crazy, Buck Acres is our attempt to help the community. We've done everything we can to keep rates down. The only amenities we offer are shade, Wi-Fi, electricity, water, and an ADA porta john that is cleaned every week. Affordable RV parks shouldn't be sweltering parking lots where you're packed in like sardines! At Buck Acres we have 100' tall hardwoods and pines that have been trimmed up 60' for the safety of you and your rig! Buck Acres is still under construction and it is a labor of love. All proceeds go immediately back into the park. Bring your family, pets, and friends - tents and RVs welcome! Please Note: Quiet Hours are 10pm - 8am Please keep fires within designated fire rings Keep pets on leash - Clean up any pet waste Do not walk through other people’s campsites. Boulderdash Cabin & RV Park
7 units · Glamping, Motorhomes, Tents5 acres · Bandera, TXHello, I’m Carol-anne, my husband Lyn and I spent several years searching for a Hill Country hideout. After not being able to find anything that would meet our needs we had all but given up on the idea. So we decided we should just buy ourselves an RV and go wherever the wind blew us. In 2016 we did just that! We bought ourselves “The Land Yacht” as I have come to call our Heartland Cyclone. We spent 2016 and 2017 touring the country. In February 2017 we decided to attend the “Cowboy Mardi Gras” in Bandera, TX and found a great spot to camp on Lake Medina. My dad joined us on that trip and I think we all kind of fell in love with the place! Lyn and I (always dreaming) decided to look and see what sort of real estate there was around the lake. We have always argued about lake vs. river. Lyn likes the lake and I like the river. Anyway, after some searching online we decided to go up in person one day and just “look”. Well.......long story short. The first place we looked at was Boulderdash, it met all our needs. Boulderdash came complete with 3 acres on the river at the mouth of Lake Medina. It had a cabin already on it that was built in 2009 and 5 RV hookups. PERFECT! We listed the cabin as a vacation rental and started to refurbish the RV hookups and sites, 5 years later we are retired here and continuing to make improvements. We named it Boulderdash because of the huge boulders out front and because Boulderdash is defined as “Something that does not have or make sense”. Which was perfectly suited to this endeavor! The idea was just to pay the property taxes with the cabin rental until we could retire and build our home. The lot next to ours became available so we purchased it. Boulderdash was growing faster than we ever could have imagined! What started out as a temporary rental quickly became a full blown campground! Boulderdash continues to exceeded our expectations and has become a place full of fun memories, not only for ourselves but for whomever visits.

Rio Bravo Ranch
4 units · Motorhomes, Tents1000 acres · Presidio, TXRio Bravo Ranch is a family owned ranch that borders the Rio Grande and Casa Piedra Road.  We have cultured a love for camping and the outdoors on this ranch as children and young adults.  One day we were sitting on "the backside," enjoying the amazing vistas, solitude and a campfire when the idea came to us that we should share this amazing place with others seeking this type of experience.  We tried to think about what makes camping enjoyable to us - no immediately adjacent campers, a nice fire ring/shade structure, a nice, large tent site and vistas with unobstructed views.  We have incorporated this into our campground design which, when completely finished, will encompass several hundred acres of Chihuahuan desert vistas.  We are also fortunate enough to have a large riparian area on the property.  It is in this area, amongst the 40ft tall cottonwood and willows, we often find Gambel's Quail, Scaled Quail, Javelina and numerous bird species including the occasional turkey.  We would love nothing more than to share this wonderful place, where we grew up, with souls seeking solitude, adventure and inspiration.  Our eastern entrance is just a few miles outside the Big Bend Ranch State Park boundary, conveniently located on Casa Piedra road about 1.6 miles north of FM 170.

Whether you’re hopping out of your rig to go hiking in Big Bend or Guadalupe Mountains National Park, exploring the state parks and golf courses around Dallas, or paddling the lakes and touring the wineries of Texas Hill Country, you’ll never be far from an RV campground. Texan summers are hot, so when temperatures climb above 100°F, head for the Gulf Coast—Houston and Corpus Christi are the gateways to the beaches, lagoons, and RV campsites of Galveston Island and South Padre Island. Through spring and fall, drive inland to enjoy boating and kayaking, or admire the fall foliage in the Piney Woods. Many Texas RV parks provide full hookups, laundry facilities, wifi, and pet-friendly RV sites, while larger RV resorts ensure easy access for big rigs with shared facilities such as swimming pools or a clubhouse.
