Outhouse on the property, which is just a pit toilet. It is a working farm so will likely have various equipment around at times as well as workers at certain times of the year. You’ll likely meet our very friendly and very energetic Bernedoodle, Bernie. If you prefer to keep him out of your campsite just let us know and we can keep him closer. Otherwise, he thinks he has the run of the place! Please check to see if campfires are allowed (live in a high-risk fire zone) and firewood is available with an extra charge. If you need anything to better enjoy your stay, just let us know!
Our property is located in Peachland, BC. Positioned midway between Kelowna and Pentiction, it is the perfect location to draw from both population centres and is well-positioned to act as a hub for popular wine and other agri-tourism activities. We have a 7 acre developing hobby farm currently with fruit trees, a garden, a king shepherd named Jack and a cat named Lulu. You may see some of our neighbour's ducks walking around and hear their rooster in the morning.
Please note; our driveway is an uphill, switchback driveway so long trailers are not a fit for our location. Front wheel or 4 wheel is a plus but typically all vehicles can make it up our driveway.
We have 2 swimming holes near and backing our property. At the back of the property is Hayward Lake/Hairsine Creek which is great for swimming. Inflatable paddle boards are the way to go if you wish to paddle board in the lake since it would be difficult portaging a rigid paddle board down the Crown Land trail. On the front is the Stave River Runoff. This has trails and is ideal if you have smaller children as the water is a bit warmer and has shallow areas.
There are hiking trails in the area and a beach area a short drive from the sites.

There’s a dish washing station in the center of the Wash House where you can refill your water jugs and bottles or wash dishes. Please do not use for washing hair or laundry or tooth brushing. We ask that you conserve water and keep the Wash House clean.

Welcome to Flyway Farm & Forest! We are 90 minutes away from Banff National Park, nestled between the Rocky and Purcell Mountain ranges, along the Columbia River, and part of the Pacific Flyway. We are also close to many trout fishing lakes, the world famous Bugaboo Spires (a destination for the international climbing community since 1916), and bird watchers from all over the world.
We are five acres of farm, forests, and gardens, with our front yard facing out on the Columbia River, in the heart of the Pacific Flyway. It is one of the largest migratory bird routes in North America, and a crucial corridor to migratory birds, waterfowl, and shorebirds, extending from Alaska to Patagonia.
Whether your goal is to connect with the Earth or with people, the Flyway Farm and Forest is the place for you. Located in tiny Spillimacheen BC, this hidden gem will enhance any experience. Otherwise, he thinks he has the run of the place! Please check to see if campfires are allowed (live in a high-risk fire zone) and firewood is available with an extra charge. If you need anything to better enjoy your stay, just let us know!

Please note; our driveway is an uphill, switchback driveway so long trailers are not a fit for our location. Front wheel or 4 wheel is a plus but typically all vehicles can make it up our driveway.
We have 2 swimming holes near and backing our property. At the back of the property is Hayward Lake/Hairsine Creek which is great for swimming. Inflatable paddle boards are the way to go if you wish to paddle board in the lake since it would be difficult portaging a rigid paddle board down the Crown Land trail. On the front is the Stave River Runoff. This has trails and is ideal if you have smaller children as the water is a bit warmer and has shallow areas.
There are hiking trails in the area and a beach area a short drive from the sites.

We ask that you conserve water and keep the Wash House clean.

The tiny home features a queen bed in the loft, twin bed downstairs, outdoor hot shower, full kitchen with bar fridge and propane range. A sauna (if fires permitted) composting toilets and outdoor showers are available.
Use the tiny home deck to gather and eat under the sun and stars. Relax in the comfy patio furniture or chill out in a shady hammock. Campfires are allowed in the fire pit when permitted.
Add - ons : Organic sourdough bread, firewood. The hosts are willing to help coordinate a unique stay including boat transport (Way West Water Taxi from Campbell River), food shopping, baking, etc at an agreed cost. Please contact us if you would like any add ons well ahead of time.

Located 3 hours paddling from Quadra Island, and 2 hours by water taxi from Campbell River, this property is located on a totally off grid remote island. The land is located in a quiet residential neighborhood of private acreages which are mostly forested.

Welcome to Flyway Farm & Forest! We are 90 minutes away from Banff National Park, nestled between the Rocky and Purcell Mountain ranges, along the Columbia River, and part of the Pacific Flyway. We are also close to many trout fishing lakes, the world famous Bugaboo Spires (a destination for the international climbing community since 1916), and bird watchers from all over the world.
We are five acres of farm, forests, and gardens, with our front yard facing out on the Columbia River, in the heart of the Pacific Flyway. It is one of the largest migratory bird routes in North America, and a crucial corridor to migratory birds, waterfowl, and shorebirds, extending from Alaska to Patagonia.

Weekend Trip to Lakewood Cabins
The Woodland Cabin was like heaven. The surrounding scenery was beautiful, and although the cabin was small, it felt spacious enough and had everything we needed. The bathroom was just a short walk away, but it was clean, warm, and very comfortable to use.
We enjoyed the campfire late into the night. The firewood we purchased for $10 was more than enough, and we were grateful that the host generously provided extra.
We would absolutely love to come back again for our vacation next year. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience.

We absolutely loved our stay at Michael’s cabin and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and peaceful getaway. From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming and thoughtfully prepared.
One of the highlights of our stay was the animals on the property. There’s a horse, a goat, and chickens, which made the experience feel extra special and charming. The horse even walked over to greet us, and that little moment truly made our trip memorable. Our dog also had an amazing time. She was completely comfortable inside the cabin and loved sitting by the window watching the horse. It was such a joy to see her so relaxed and happy.
Even though it’s a small cabin, it has absolutely everything you need. The space is very well equipped, comfortable, and perfect for unwinding. We even had a cozy movie night and felt completely at home the entire time.
The only small recommendation I would add is to bring warm slippers or thick socks if you’re visiting during colder weather. While the heater works well and keeps the cabin warm, the floors can feel quite cold. Aside from that minor detail, everything about our stay was wonderful.
We truly had a lovely experience and would gladly come back again.

A lovely place to stay, would definetly come again! Carson and Joanne were such kind and welcoming hosts. We got to feed the chickens and learn more about their property and the bunkhouse. Well supplied kitchen and a cozy living space with a bunch of games (with Catan!) Can't wait to be back!

We really loved this place. My wife and I enjoyed Michael’s cabin very much, and the location is excellent. You truly feel peaceful and happy here.
Michael is very good at communication, solution,oriented and reasonable. His wife is the same way, both of them are kind and helpful people.

The Doighouse is a beautiful site nestled in the trees. Listening to the rain on the cabins metal roof was heavenly. The hosts are incredibly considerate, welcoming and warm. I would highly recommend if you're looking for a nice spot to just get away from life for a few days!

We have the absolute best time staying at Micheals cabin this past weekend. He is a fantastic host, very welcoming (He even came to us to show us a brand new chick he was keeping warm in his jacket!) The cabins are lovely, have everything you need for a comfortable stay in the woods. The local area is beautiful and we made some amazing steaks over the fire. 10/10 would recommend to anyone needing a little affordable get away!
