Park your car at our parking lot near the road. Cross the boardwalk over the wetland. Walk through the clearing up a slight incline, to the trail-head, through the mixed hardwood forest, to a secluded campsite where you can watch the stars and listen to the sounds of the forest in the privacy of your campsite. Over 1000 acres of quiet State Wildlife Management land sits adjacent to our plot of land and is yours to explore! If you're up for a hike, follow the ATV trail to Spectacle Pond which is a 100-acre lake with an island in the middle. There are two disc golf courses within walking distance down the road from the trail-head if that's more your style.

We run Maine Primitive Skills School, and the main facilities are located across the road. We rent out this area of the property to campers when we are not utilizing it for courses. Feel free to come on over and say hi! If you need any tips on making your camping experience more enjoyable we're the people to ask.

Mike is an exceptionally great host, and the campsite is very comfortable. Be sure to bring bug spray if you’re camping in the summer!! I hope to be back in the fall to experience one of the many COOL classes Mike’s Maine Primitive Skills School has to offer.

This was a great site. I camped with the kids and it was a nice experience for them and me! The only negative is that it is a short hike into the site so with little ones, we made a lot of trips back and forth to the car. The kiddos had an awesome time.

It’s so beautiful, the idea that it’s a place of learning have us a lot of awareness and respect for our surroundings. And the lake is beautiful, we saw a beaver swimming! I hope we can come back as students someday. Thank you!

Micheal was very reachable! As soon as I got at the place, he showed me my site and where were the things I needed. I was camping alone for the first time and I felt safe at Micheal's property. He also told me that if I needed him I could just call and he would have helped me out. It was a great experience camping into the wood.

Easy to get to, friendly host, great info on birds to read about in the outhouse and nice to see the outdoor school that teaches primitive skills...inspired my partner and I to check out what they offer. Remember your (preferably non toxic) but spray though!

We enjoyed the site and wished we had more time to do the hike to the pond.
