Well located for those traveling the Appalachian Trail or heading toward Katahdin, it’s a good spot to stop, rest, and spend some time by the river.
The property spans seven private acres and is set up for small groups who want a bit more structure than a typical campsite. On site, you’ll find a small indoor cabin with a mattress, two oversized elevated tent platforms, a rustic riverside kitchen with propane stove, grill, refrigerator, sink, and prep space, a hot outdoor shower, a single pit toilet, multiple fire pits, and a treehouse.
There’s a short walk from the parking area (150 or so yards), and the sites are private once you’re in. rustic simple cooking equipment, dishware, and basic supplies are available, along with lighting and a few practical comforts that make longer stays easier.
It’s a simple, well-equipped riverside camp, set among the pines, with an easy, laid-back feel that fits the setting. There are also Kayaks and fire wood available.
