Yabba Creek Farm

We are located along the Yabba Creek just west of Imbil. Only 3km past Imbil township and 10km to Borumba Dam. Our property boast exquisite views of the Yabba creek bordering Mount Granger and forestry as our backdrop. We have deep swimming holes as well as shallow areas for the little ones. Camps are spaced out along a manicured 300m creek frontage. There is a total of 1km creek frontage on Yabba Creek Farm for your to explore. Attractions include kayaking (limited number provided) fishing, bush walking and wildlife watching. Platypus are frequently sighted in the Yabba creek. Lungfish can also be viewed while kayaking or snorkelling. Koalas, wallabies, gonnas and an abundance of bird life are also commonly sighted. Dogs are welcome on very strict conditions as we have farm animals including lambs, chickens and foals, so must remain secure on a leash at all times. Dogs with hunting or chasing nature are not welcome for the safety of our animals and wildlife. One toilet available. Cleaned daily. BYO if you wish to camp further away from main area. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided. Weekends we provide farm experiences for the kids with feeding and petting sheep, ponies, chickens and egg collecting (quite limited at this stage, but we are expanding). Bring your push bike and tour the farm trails or further into the neighbouring Imbil Forestry.

Maluka Park

During busy times, most weekend bookings are a minimum of 2 nights with 1 night bookings during the week, however occasionally we will have 1 night bookings on weekends. Check with your host to see availability on 1 night bookings. Kayaks are provided free of charge for all campers to use in Yabba Creek. Please treat them respectfully and return them back to their launching place just below the powerlines. If you wish to bring along your own kayak, you can launch them at the walkway between campsite 8 and 9 where our camp kayaks are stored, however, cars are restricted from driving down to the water edge so you will have to carry them to the water to launch them. Please note that you are responsible for your own kayak. All campsites run parallel too the creek and are situated on the upper bank of Yabba Creek. Some have creek views, the other sites have trees between the creek and their site. All have mountain views. The main access to the creek is half way along the campground between site 8 and 9. Please do not leave your car parked in the walkway as this will block the entrance to campsite 9. Unfortunately, we lost many of our creek access points due to flooding. Our property is situated between Imbil and Lake Borumba on the beautiful Yabba Creek. We have 110 acres, with campsites on 20 acres. We have 1km of creek frontage. The creek offers fishing, swimming and kayaking. If you're lucky you'll spot the platypus in the creek and there's lots of birdlife around so bring your cameras! Kayaks are supplied free for all campers to use. We just ask that you treat them with respect and return them back to their launching place once you have finished with them. It would pay to pack your reef walkers as the river is rocky in spots. There is lots of space for motorhomes and large camping vehicles to maneuver and park. Plenty of flat spots for your tent or vehicle. This campsite has access to flushing toilets (toilets are situated approx. 400m from the camp sites) and water (rainwater), but you will need to bring your own camping shower. Campfires are permitted outside of fire-ban season (please use the existing firepits). Firewood is available and can be delivered to your site by our local contractor. Cost is $20 for a generous load or $10 for a half load. The property features a gorgeous rainforest with a walking track that you can follow safely, and you can also access the state forest next door if you're up for a bigger adventure. Lake Borumba is just down the road which permits water skiing, boating, fishing and other water recreation. The town ship of Imbil is only 7 minutes away where you can visit the many cafes, bakeries, The Imbil pub, Sunday markets, Produce and hardware store, supermarket, butcher, clothing shops, hairdresser, fishing supplies, Petrol station, post office and more. We are a working cattle and horse property but we do allow pets, however pet owners will need to abide by the rules as set out under the Rules and Safety "Pets" section. Please note that there is a rifle range within hearing distance from Maluka Park and campers may at times on weekends hear gunshots. This generally only goes for a few hours.

Jimna Base Camp, Jimna

Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. There is also no charge or fee to use the court. On most Sundays afternoons (weather permitting), we have social tennis where everyone is welcome to join in. The old school toilet blocks have the addition of hot showers and all toilet facilities are the flushing type. Campfires are permitted and there are small mobile fire pits provided so wherever you set up camp you can have your campfire right beside you. Note: There are no ground fires permitted and at certain times of the year Qld Rural Fire brigade may enforce a total fire ban. We have our “Caffeine Injection” kiosk on-site for the weekends and school holidays. Kenilworth Free Range Farm

The sites are level pastured camping areas with lovely trees providing good shade alongside the river. We have tried to preserve the natural ecosystem on the river bank so it is heavily wooded and largely untouched. The total area for camping is approximately 500 metres with only four sites spaced far apart to ensure plenty of space and privacy. Each site has very easy access to the river. You can enjoy swimming and kayaking in the river. Fishing is welcome when permitted but must be catch and release only. There is plenty of wildlife to see, especially for bird watchers: kingfishers, parrots and birds of prey as well as platypus, air breathing lungfish and Mary River turtles. There is a central common area with a large fire pit for all to gather around if you would like. There is currently a good pile of firewood available for campers to enjoy for $5 (per night) into the honestly box please. Access is 4WD or AWD only. In severe weather the Mary River can flood. Be prepared to leave in extreme weather. Campers must be self sufficient with their own camping toilet and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Pets are welcome.

Djitti Djitti Farm is a 300 acre regenerative agriculture property, with livestock running throughout. It has large natural bush areas with a small seasonal creek. There are restricted numbers of campers - being 5 self contained camping sites. There is abundant wildlife including sugar-gliders, koalas, goannas and echidnas. Camping locations include 4wd access spots and 2wd access spots. We offer Bush Camping in the Somerset region close to Toogoolawah, Esk and Crows Nest, also not to far to three different Dams (Wivenhoe, Somerset and Cressbrook) . There are multiple National Parks in the area - Crows Nest NP, Ravensbourne NP and Bunya Mountains. Only 1.5 hrs to Brisbane, 2 hrs to the Gold Coast, 1.25 hr to Toowoomba and 1 hr to Ipswich.

Deep Dime

Deep Dime is a 400 acre cattle, fodder and irrigated grain farm. Our primary crop is Lucerne for hay. Creekside Camp (our main camping area) is relatively flat, well drained sites along a creek that usually runs. This area offers multiple composting toilets and wood powered hot water bush shower and outdoor bath. There is also a large permanent deep waterhole a short distance from this camping area. We have temporarily paused out Hill camp sites, due to continuing property maintenance and improvements. The Hilltop on our place is a lovely spot to watch the sunset with a glass of your favorite beverage, and even if you are camped at Creekside, you are welcome to walk or drive up to hilltop. Just remember we are a working property, so leave gates as you find them. Our place is an easy drive from wineries, large dams, Bunya Mountains, art galleries, state forests, mountain bike tracks, and scenic Kingaroy. We are dog friendly as long as dogs are not aggressive and well controlled.

It is the perfect destination to forget life's worries and relax in a beautiful natural environment. We are happy for you to enjoy riding push bikes on the property and to enjoy music around your campsite. Bring your kids, dogs, push bikes, or even a canoe and get back to nature! Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided and there is plenty of firewood available. Please ensure there are no restrictions in place before lighting a fire. There is a basic camp kitchen, toilet's, camp shower and a bar setup down near the dam for your use, complete with lights, weber BBQ, microwave, 2 hot plates, a toaster, sandwich press and fridge/freezer. You can also hire out the entire property just for your group or special occasion - please see entire property listing.
