Our property is located in the beautiful Kandanga Valley which is a part of the amazing Mary Valley. Kandanga Creek runs along our property where the camp site are located. We are surrounded by mountains and the Imbil forestry is at the top of our valley. We are only 45 minutes to Noosa, 20 minutes to the Amamoor Country Music Muster, only 1 km to Mitchell Creek Rock and Blues Festival, 15 minutes to Borumba Dam. We own a working Dairy Farm, the next property on from the camping site. Opposite the camping grounds we plant summer feed (White Sorghum Silage) and Winter feed (Oats or Barley). Bring you own fire pits. All weather access road, if towing please use 4WD. Please note we do not have drinking water and that you need to be self-sufficient and bring everything you need with you and take out ALL waste. *All guests (including children) must be added to the booking request. *Children 5 and under are free (noted in message attached to booking) *Firewood available by the bag to purchase. *Smoking discouraged for the comfort of guests. * The platypus can be sighted in the creek. There is a family of 3 friendly deer that roam our property, so keep an eye out they are beautiful. * There is fencing along the creek bank for safety for little children.

A Delightful Kandanga Escape

Site 2 - Platypus
We had a terrific stay. The property offers five generously sized campsites set on beautifully maintained grassy grounds with plenty of cool, mature shaded trees. Access was super easy, and the directions were spot on. As we rely on solar in our van, we chose to stay near the road in the Kookaburra camp area, which provided excellent sunlight and unobstructed Starlink coverage. We also brought our fur‑babies along, and they had an absolute blast being off‑leash and exploring the space. Each site had its own fire pit, and we loved sitting around our warm fire on a cool Kandanga night. Our hosts greeted us warmly, and we have no hesitation recommending this delightful camp to others.

Felt this campsite was nothing special and overpriced. Expected a bigger space and more room between campsites but it was quite small and just by the road. The portaloo was also full of ants which made it unusable most of the time. Probably won’t go back.

Good location for exploring around the area. Ground level and grass mowed. Nice size firepit to use as well. Koala site is closest of 5 to the road, although road very quiet. A few cow pats to navigate, that the dogs enjoyed trying to roll in.

The space was well maintained, very tranquil, close to bush and plenty of shady trees. Lots of birdlife, and best of all, camp spots spread out with plenty of space between sites. We'll definitely be back

The camping space is lovely. Only 5 sites, all huge, shady and lovely. I imagine there could be multiple vehicles camping on the one site, at times, but with 2/4 people per site, it is a lovely spot.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mountain View Camping. The sites are a great size, nice green grass & just the right amount of trees to provide shade but also let some sun in for our solar panels. Camp is perfectly situated for leisurely drives to points of interest in the surrounding area. Garry & Natalie are lovely hosts who respond well to messages. We highly recommend.

Very tidy, well maintained area. The owners were lovely to communicate with, checking In and making sure we were ok. We would highly recommend this campsite. Plenty of space on each site, so not cramped at all. Kandanga Creek is close by for a refreshing dip. Amama Falls in the Amamoor Stare Forest great for those who like their walks. Thank you to Garry and Natalie, will see you again.

We just got home from 5 nights, and we loved it. While all the other camp areas that we drove past were packed in like sardines, we enjoyed well spaced out campsites and limited numbers, not to mention the more than gracious hosts.

My husband and I really enjoyed Garry and Natalie’s place. It was peaceful and had ample space between campers. Easy to access, short drive to Imbil if you need supplies for a longer stay and lots of hidden tracks to get off the bitumen. Recommend this place and will be staying again in the future. Also Gary dropped off the most enjoyable water melon.

We love camping here,its our second time here. The campground is very well maintained and Garry comes down and meets you and that is really nice. There is a toilet here which is kept clean and well stocked with toilet paper. Lovely,clean,quiet place to relax and unwind,totally recommend.

We loved camping at Mountain View Camping, everything you want in a simple camp ground. Beautiful views, lots of space from other campers and the toilet was kept clean. Such a great option for families with dogs. Our dog loved being able to swim in the creek and be with us.

Loved the beautiful grassy area and space between camps. Clean toilet and firewood were greatly appreciated as was the ability to move from Turtle to Kookaburra site as Kookaburra was a lot more even and had nice trees for our hammocks. We walked west down the creek further to go for a dip where the creek was flowing. Nice to be able to take dogs and have them off leash too.

Beautiful camp site. Grassy, flat sites. Clear areas for having a fire if you like. Pet friendly. Lovely creek. Wasnt flowing when we were there but still tranquil. Place teeming with bird life.

Great big grassy area with plenty of spots in the shade. Portaloo was clean and worked well. Fenced from the creek so safe for little kids. Sites are not beside the water with about 20 m walk downhill to the swimming spot which is a big open pool with shallow edges. Was hoping for some big rocks or rapids but managed to find some shallow running water about 200 m upstream which have me the sounds I was looking for.

We had a wonderful stay at Mountain View Camping- Kadanga Creek. The site was well grassed, flat and had trees spotted throughout the area for shade. Lovely, well kept portaloo. We will come back again.

We had a lovely stay at Mountain View Camping! The site was spacious and peaceful — plenty of room to relax and enjoy the view. Our dog had the best time running around off-lead and exploring freely, which was such a treat. The shared portaloo (one for about five groups) was clean and well maintained. Overall, it was a great experience and we’d definitely love to come back again. Thanks, Natalie, for the clear directions and warm hospitality!

Great camp site! Very quiet and great grounds, the toilet was very clean as well! Christmas tree farm is right next to the campsite and it seems like a real tight community around that area, making me and my partner feel very safe on the grounds. All in all fantastic!

Camp site was well maintained grassy area, quite flat. The 3 porta-loos we shared by the campsite, they were clean and maintained daily. The creek was close and lovey, enough water to swim. Dogs were off leash and loved it. Communication with the owners was great.

Lovely place to spend a few days! Garry was awesome, nothing was a problem. Campsites were mostly flat and well spaced out. There was loads to do in the area or, if you prefer, you can head down to the creek at the back of the campsites and dip your toes in! Or (next time we go) take a floating seat and enjoy being in the middle of the creek. Definitely recommend! Thanks Garry for all your brilliant help! 😁😁

Shady, grassy sites right by the creek — perfect for a dip. We had two sites (Platypus and Kookaburra), which meant plenty of space to spread out and a bit of privacy from the other groups. One was creekside, the other just behind. Portaloos were clean and stocked (always a win), and the owners were super lovely. Lots of fire pits around — shame about the total fire ban because it would’ve been magic sitting around one. It’s only a quick trip into the Kandanga Hotel too if you need supplies or a cheeky restock. Peaceful, tidy, and properly looked after. 10/10 would camp again.
