You can either relax or get out and about as we are located near the famous Sirromet Winery and walking distance to Mount Cotton’s popular Eastern Escarpment walking and biking trails and amazing views up at the summit of Moreton Bay and across to the Glass House mountains. Venman Bushland National Park is just up the road and offers great walking trails. Daisy Hill Conservation Park is also a short drive away which is a great spot for a picnic and offers mountain bike trails, walking tracks and a BBQ area.
Moreton bay access is also close by with a short drive to either Victoria Point, Cleveland or Redland Bay.
In addition, the property has beautiful walking trails.
Campfires permitted however must be kept within the allocated fire pit and must be outside of restrictions.
You must have portable toilet and be fully self-sufficient. All waste to be removed by campers upon departure. We would like to preserve this site for all future campers so please ensure that you abide by our rules.
Generators welcomed, to be switched off between 10pm and 7am.

Please keep in mind that this Hipcamp is a 'Farm Stay', on a working property which is also our big back yard. Your privacy is assured, however, if you're looking for total seclusion, this may not be the Hipcamp property for you.
A grassy flat tent site is tucked away shaded by trees. Powered Caravan site is also grassy and flat with a large area for kids to play. If you choose to set up in the open away from the trees the house will be in sight (45m away), but we live a quiet life and respect your privacy. The property is on the Brisbane River, the site offers river glimpses however there is no river access.
Suitable for tents, campers trailers, caravans and RV's. We are close to the CBD so the site is a great option for a 'shake down' for your new caravan or camper trailer. If you're new to camping this is a great place to ease into a lifestyle that offers so many opportunities further afield.
You won't have to share the campsite with other campers, you will have the spot all to yourselves.

The campsite is situated on the beach, sheltered by the sheoaks in the back dunes. At the rear of the campsite lies a freshwater lagoon, locally known as the keyholes.
Currently, there are four sites available to be booked. There is a camp kitchen with a two gas burner, all pots and pans, plates and cutlery with table and chairs to sit at. There is also a big esky there to use for either your food or drinks. Fresh water is provided in twenty litre drums.
The bush shower works on the keg being heated up just like a kettle. Once it is hot then a nice warm shower is to be had to wash off all the salt from the ocean. There is also two compost toilets for your convenience.
A unique feature includes the opportunity for surfing, fishing, and swimming in your private lagoon. A short drive will take you to Point Lookout. 10 minutes and you are at the pub mixing with the locals.
Access is via the beach only and tides are a consideration. Please check "Point Lookout tides" on Willy Weather. I don't normally travel on the beach if the tide is over 1.5 metres.
A 4 wheel drive vehicle is required. Camper trailers can be brought in as they are light. Caravans are not permitted due to the tight turning circles.

Our property is 4WD access. You are risking your booking and vehicle if you turn up in a 2WD or family SUV.

UPDATE as of early August 2026 - the creek is dry.. Some of our tracks are rutted and may become slippery in wet weather. We do basic maintenance to keep access open for 4WDS. Be prepared to apply your 4WD skills.
Kobble Creek West is accessible from several locations on our property boundary. Ideal for creek exploring and rock hopping. There’s even a small lagoon.
Check out the short hiking trails on our property (there are hike options suitable to your preferred difficulty). Bring your machete for an even greater hiking experience!
You can relax by or in the spring fed dam, explore seasonal Kobble Creek, feed the chickens or goats, spot the abundant bird life, or sit patiently and a deer or fox may appear at dusk.
Enjoy the evenings sitting around the campfire as you gaze at the stars.
All sites have sufficient spacing from other sites to ensure acceptable privacy. You are welcome to enjoy our off-grid camping with the expectation that facilities are minimal.
NOTE: Surcharges exist for a number of circumstances, including day visitors, single-night bookings and late check ins (after 6pm). These can be found in the Extras and must be added at the time of booking for your request to be accepted.
NOTE: Please also indicate that you are 4WD and your camping platform and size as you book. This enables us to site you appropriately.

There is a creek within a 5 min drive off the property, situated at Lees Crossing Road. Also an approx 20 min drive will take you to Cedar Creek
Falls and D'aigullar National Park.
Children under the age of 13 camp at kids prices. Well behaved pets are welcome.
We are situated approx 10 mins from the delightful Dayboro Township and approx 20 mins from the quaint township of Samford.
Brisbane CBD is approx 40kms away.

Quirky but great!! Night time was Incredible with all the fairy lights coming on…. Toilet and shower were great, clean and hot! Firepit was perfect with some kindling provided… Marnie was a great welcomer.

We stayed here for one night and had a great stay! There was plenty of space to set up and it was a really nice, peaceful little spot. Our dog absolutely loved it also.

Magic Ponds is definitely ‘magic’!
The Birdlife on and around the lakes is amazing, and we enjoyed birdsong from dawn till dusk:))
A great firepit is provided for each very large site. Green grass under foot and the peace and quiet were so nourishing! We would definitely stay again:))

We loved our 2 night stay at Lakeview. It was peaceful, private and there were loads of interesting birds if you are interested in bird watching. The site was level and we loved having a camp fire at night. Our two dogs also had a great time.

Met by Melissa’s friendly partner upon arrival who showed me around the camp site. Under the mango trees away from the house a is very private camping spot. Lots of bird song was to be heard (with distant noise from Ipswich motorway and industrial area over the river) and one of the resident sausage dogs was very friendly and hung out with me for a while. Easy to access water tap and outlet to plug in my phone. Would stay away for a night or two to escape the city!

We loved our spot at Lagoon Lane at Lakeview. It was private, picturesque and full of interesting and melodious birdlife. The whole site is well set up for families with lots of water slide fun, playground, table tennis etc. Walking around the lake, everywhere was tidy and clean and there was plenty of space between campers. We didn't get to meet the owners, however, they've done a great job making this an attractive, private and peaceful place to camp.

Absolutely amazing spot, Mark was kind enough to meet before the beach and help get me get to the camp site, also showed me around a bit. The camp site is right next to the beach, also just up the road a little swimming hole with hot showers. Will definitely be back, had a blast.

Perfect for a short family escape to a lovely farm stay. Melissa and Robert were terrific hosts and very accommodating of us and our toddler with the horse and geese feeding and collecting the chickens eggs. Thanks for having us !
