Escape to the charm of Samford Valley 🌿 Set on a quiet street with just 3 homes, our relaxed, small acreage offers a private country base, tucked away yet only 2 minutes drive from Samford Village — a convenient base to explore Samford and surrounds with ease. You’ll be immersed in nature and friendly farm life — free range chickens, ducks in the dam (with adorable ducklings at times!) and a few early-rising roosters. 🐓 Light sleepers may want to come prepared! Enjoy collecting your own fresh eggs (1 per person, per day). Campsite sits beside a small dam, ideal for soaking in the scenery (not for swimming). Travellers passing through love the convenience of this location for day trips, but families are also welcome! Kids will love the tree swings, outdoor toys and sports equipment (on request), plus a small library with books, games, puzzles and DVDs. And our newest additions….2 adorable Guinea pigs! 🥰 A short stroll leads to a beautiful creek with a Tarzan rope swing — perfect for cooling off, kayaking or throwing a line in for fun. You’re also within walking distance of the skate park and tennis courts. We offer one private campsite, (suitable for tents and caravans) ensuring only one group stays at a time (or can be shared by 2 friend/family groups — just ask). Fire pit for cozy nights, plus access to power, water and a private toilet and shower. Samford Village is just 2 minutes drive away with cafes, bakery, pub, shops, supermarket, park, pump track and more. Or enjoy the scenic creekside walking track into town via the 'Village loop', past the cows! A beautiful way to slow down and enjoy the countryside. Perfectly located to explore Mt Glorious, Cedar Creek, or with a 12 min drive, take the train to Brisbane City for shopping, South Bank swimming or markets, Wheel of Brisbane, dining & more. See 'Extras' to book our family fun scavenger hunt! Please note: The property is mostly fenced but children will need to be supervised, especially near the dam (there is a pool on property also). This is not a ‘campground’ but our family home and you will see us and our children around the property :) Please feel free to ask if you have any additional special requests and we will try our best to accommodate.This a flat site, overlooking the dam, suitable for caravans, campers or tents. Water and power hook up is also available if needed. Amenities including your own private toilet and shower are a short walk (less than one minute) up the hill, on the deck, next to our pool area. There is also a large sink available on the deck if needed for washing dishes etc (Sink by the campsite coming soon!) The creek across the road can be accessed for fishing and swimming - it is a bit of a steep climb down, but for those who would like an easier route we can explain how to get there via a longer walking route or short drive. Beautiful Cedar Creek is also just a short drive away. Once you have booked, we will mark the other sites as 'unavailable', so you have the whole area to yourself. For this reason, please let us know if you have friends/family you are travelling with and are planning to book with you, so we can leave it as 'available'. Our friendly chickens free range in the afternoons, any small dogs will need to be kept secured on a lead at this time. Please feel free to help yourself to one egg per person per day, dependent on availability (we can show you where to find them). Please ask also if you need any fresh herbs for your dinner! :) Upon booking we will send you a list of the many amazing things to do in and around Samford. Firepit is portable and may be moved around to wherever suits you. Please ensure it is put out before you head to bed at night.

A very private site overlooking a small lake though a decent walk to shower and toilet. Great hospitality. Carmen was very generous giving us home laid eggs for breakfast.

Enjoyed our stay on Carmen’s land. Carmen was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed as well as providing information on the local area. We were able to leave our car and van on the site while we did a 2 week trip to the Pacific out of Brisbane.

Carmen’s property is a great spot for exploring Samford and surrounding areas. Carmen is a great host with excellent communication and lots of local recommendations. With friendly chooks roaming in the afternoon, this would be a wonderful place to bring a family too. Would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful weekend on Carmen’s property with friends. The site was beautifully maintained and there was enough flat ground for a tent and a camper trailer. Carmen and her family were generous and welcoming, and it was fun to watch the antics of the chooks. Thank you.

Our young family loved camping here! The views across the pond and from the top of the hill at the back of the property are absolutely stunning. My five-year-old was obsessed with Carmen’s chickens, and she was so kind in letting him pat, hold and help care for them. He loved collecting eggs each day and even being woken up by the rooster in the mornings. Carmen and her family were wonderful hosts who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. They even delivered extra firewood mid-stay and organised a fun scavenger hunt with an amazing prize at the end, which was a huge hit with the kids. A beautiful, family-friendly spot with warm hospitality. We’d happily stay again.

Lovely private camp spot, great to sit out in the evening and watch the local wildlife. Samford village was close by and nice to walk around. The private bathroom was clean and convenient. Our daughter loved helping with the chickens and we very much enjoyed the fresh eggs for breakfast 😊
