In other words we strongly recommend access by 4WD only as the entry 6klm driveway is very rugged and bumpy in most places due to heavy rain fall past 12 months. Please ask for more details if necessary should you have any concerns based on your equipment. Its an ongoing maintenance. Its the 4x4 adventure. We would rather talk it down than up:-) Currently we do not recommend SUV AWD type cars due to there lower profile and vulnerability to bumps and ruts. It is doable many do it all however about driver confidence and add another upto 2hours to trip :-) We recommend parking up the top driveway and having a preplanned lift down. BE WARNED The driveway and some tracks are rough suited for 4x4 adventure enthusiasts that like to use there pride and joy offroad gear for what its intended. ps One thing we can say you will never get bogged on our driveway no matter the rain fall as its very compacted despite its authentic rough character. The Secret Gorge site is suited to tents, camper trailers and smaller length caravans. All our other site locations are suited to off-road 4WD caravans and camper trailers. There is plenty of space for social distancing. Most camp sites are 50 or more metres apart. The terrain is mostly treed with some cleared, pastured country. On the border with the Queensland town of Stanthorpe, Stonepine Ridge is close to the historic areas of Willsons Downfall and Amosfield in New South Wales. Home to many rivers that traverse the property from top to bottom, the Boonoo Boonoo and Bookookookarara rivers and Undercliffe and Boonoo Boono Falls are close by and are popular sites to spend a few hours walking/hiking and immersing yourself in the ambient countryside. The Boonoo Boonoo and Bald rock National Parks are also within this area. The beautiful New England town of Tenterfield is about 20 minutes drive from the falls and offers visitors many shopping and restaurant options. Be sure to stop en route to visit the World War 2 tank traps - (Australia's Maginot Line) and Thunderbolt's hideout. A short drive across the border into Queensland will give you access to the Girraween National Park and a host of wineries, coffee shops, restaurants and pubs. This camping property is large and you will find no better place that allows for gentle as well as more advanced walking, hiking and mountain biking. The altitude on the property varies from 900m at the top down to 50m to the bottom. The temperature is variable with mostly cool nights, which makes for restful sleep and a nice fire to add to the ambience.

The sites are located near a quiet country no-through road. Sites are all fairly level, best to bring levellers if you require it dead level;) The village is an easy walk, ride, or drive away (just over 1 km). Great location for camping and enjoying nature. Loads of birdlife and if you are lucky enough, you might get a glimpse of a platypus in the creek or Koalas as we have a Koala corridor on our property & also Wallabies. The Northern Rivers Rail Trail is nearby and is great for walking and bike riding. Wooyung and Pottsville Beaches are less than 15 minute's drive. The townships of Murwillumbah and Brunswick Heads are also only 15 minute's drive away. The village of Burringbar is only 30 minutes from Byron Bay and or the Gold Coast. In the village itself there are options for food, drink and entertainment, with a General store, Post office, Thai restaurant, Natural Wine Shop, Coffee Shops, Pharmacy, Butcher, Cheese factory, and Sports Club . These best describe this 754 hectare (1864 acres) property. Stonepine Ridge is 'remote' - your camp sites are away from any dwellings - but you are still close enough to country towns across borders. There is plenty of space for social distancing. Most camp sites are 50 or more metres apart. The terrain is mostly treed with some cleared, pastured country. On the border with the Queensland town of Stanthorpe, Stonepine Ridge is close to the historic areas of Willsons Downfall and Amosfield in New South Wales. Home to many rivers that traverse the property from top to bottom, the Boonoo Boonoo and Bookookookarara rivers and Undercliffe and Boonoo Boono Falls are close by and are popular sites to spend a few hours walking/hiking and immersing yourself in the ambient countryside. The Boonoo Boonoo and Bald rock National Parks are also within this area. The beautiful New England town of Tenterfield is about 20 minutes drive from the falls and offers visitors many shopping and restaurant options. Be sure to stop en route to visit the World War 2 tank traps - (Australia's Maginot Line) and Thunderbolt's hideout. A short drive across the border into Queensland will give you access to the Girraween National Park and a host of wineries, coffee shops, restaurants and pubs. Our farm features lush, green rolling hills with a river, creek and dam traversing the property. There are undulating hills with pockets of forest. The campsites are nestled in the groves of trees next to the creek. There's some great swimming spots, or you can go for a bushwalk and do a spot of fossicking on the water's edge. Some parts of our property are 4WD access only, but we also have good camping spots that can accommodate 2WDs. You need to be a self-contained camper with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. Coorabell creek farmstay is 30acres of hilly country made up of a mixture of forests, gullys, creeks and horse paddocks. the main camping site is the creek flat in a large shady area with a swimming hole in the freshwater springfed creek with campfire and log seats. there is an alternative camping site for wet weather in the front stone circle paddock 50mtrs from the creek bank. this area is a grassed paddock with morning shade but full sun throughout the day. there is no mobile reception on the property but a short walk up the driveway a few hundred meters away you can get reception at the property entrance should you need to make calls or get/snd msgs.. Property is located 8mins from the Pacific highway, 10mins from Mullumbimby or 18mins from Byron bay township pubs, restaurants and surfing beaches. Approximately 20mins drive to Brunswick heads surfing beaches or Byron surfing beaches. National parks for hiking or horse riding within 20mins drive. Can accommodate 2 horses in paddocks ($10per horse per night.) and parking space for horse float should you wish to bring your horses and enjoy some trails or beach riding in the area, I can give more information on places to ride on request. other activities that can be booked at additional cost include Didgeridoo Making workshops for adults and didgeridoo painting workshops for kids. this is a full day activity for adults and a half day activity for kids doing didgeridoo painting workshops. please enquire for more info and prices. Beautiful spot in the country! Dog and I thoroughly enjoyed swimming, sunbaking, running around on the grass and more swimming! The dirt road to access was a breeze with a 4x4 and a bit of added fun. The tiny home is everything as described. It's clean, comfortable and in my opinion glamping as it had a bbq, hot shower and toilet. Most of the campsites are a good distance apart so you can't see other campers, there's only once site that's close to others. I was very fortunate as it wasn't booked whilst I stayed in the tiny home. Kristy is very down to earth, easy going and a pleasure to communicate with. Thank you so much for a wonderful getaway for myself and doggo.

A beautifully mowed private campsite right on the river. Going to sleep under the stars with the sounds of the rapids is next level calming. You feel like your the only campsite on the whole river. The host Susannah is extremely helpful and is there if you need her but otherwise your privacy is respected. This is only my second time using Hipcamp and I was impressed with camping at Fernlee Station

Stayed for 3 nights at Kates property and it was great. We had the area to ourselves and stayed in front of the bamboo area facing the road so we got full max of the sun for our solar. Was not an issue facing the road side at all. Welcomed on arrival by Kates husband (sorry, forgot his name). Like others have mentioned, firewood & firepit supplied and even down to fire starters! Communication with Kate was excellent. 40 minute drive to Tweed Heads so location is pretty good. Will definitely be back if we need a getaway from the Gold Coast or see another show in Tweed Heads.

We loved our stay at Sleepy Hollow Manor! The property is incredibly peaceful, and waking up to cows grazing right outside the van was such a cool experience. The location is perfect too, so close to Pottsville Beach and an easy drive to Byron. We had an unexpected issue with our van and had to leave it on the property while waiting for a tow truck. Tom was amazingly accommodating the whole time, with great communication and a genuinely helpful attitude. Couldn’t recommend this spot more. We’ll definitely be back! 🌿🚐🐄

Fernlee has a series of beautiful campsites along the Severn River. They are private, well maintained and absolutely beautiful. It’s a bird watchers dream with at least 20 different species we saw. The river was running when we were there and it was great paddling and swimming

Absolutely loved our time here! The tiny home was perfect for my parents and we stayed in our rooftop tent right next to it. The creek was beautiful and peaceful and we had fun tubing down the creek. Birdsong and wildlife were stunning and we also loved the wild cows making and appearance. The only thing I would mention is that the BBQ is screaming out for deep clean. And if you are in to your cooking, the amenities for cooking are very basic so bring extra utensils, cutlery, oil etc.

What an amazing place and vibe! Greg is a very welcoming and helpful host, and his farm is absolutely gorgeous. Each of the tent sites is beautiful and has lots of space. I stayed at the Fig tree campsite, which was pretty and had a swing. The nearby creek is amazing to go for a cool-down dip. The amenities are basic but all you need, it’s exactly as shown in the pictures! Hope to return someday. :)
