a lovely shaded creek flat with campfire along coorabell creek. a flat mixed dirt and grassed area for tents, swags, small caravan or camper trailers. gravel track to site for access is suitable for 2wd vehicles. site suitable for several people in small groups however i usually prefer to only book one group at a time so you can enjoy the privacy with yourselves or friends and family. multiple booking will be allowed for bluesfest period as its very busy and in high demand, there is plenty space between camp sites. some lovely walks around property and creek area, swimming hole in the spring fed clear cool creek. compost toilet provided. no power, NO PHONE RECEPTION, water from creek is good to drink (at your own risk, but i drink it often and find it fine.) private and secluded on large rural property surrounded by several hundred acres of forest. horses and riders welcome, paddock with shelter provided for horses. dogs allowed but must be kept out of horse paddocks. additional firewood can be supplied for a fee.
NOTE FOR WET WEATHER... the creek flat site can get a bit boggy if we have prolonged periods of wet weather. there is a sealed gravel road and gravel parking space at the site however further into the campsite and closer to the creek can get a little boggy if we have alot of prolonged rain. happy to help out if assistance is required.

the stone circle creek camp site is a secondary overflow site we built due to high demand. its got 2 flat areas to park or set up tent, van, camper trailer etc, a small stone fireplace on ground, and overlooks the huge stone circle we built in our horse paddock. it has a lovely outlook of the horse and cow paddocks and is situated right on the creekbank. its a sunny position with lots of morning shade to sleep in through should you wish to enjoy a lazy morning! there is lots of firewood scattered around the forest floor to collect and use free. there is a nice walk along the creek and through the rain forest patch nearby. this site is located approx 200mtrs from the coorabell creek campsite. its a better site if you wish to use solar power for your camping set up as it receives far better sunlight during the day for charging. wake up to see and hear the horses nearby and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. this site is also an ideal site if you are camping with your own horses as the paddock you can use is just 50 mtrs away from you. dogs are allowed but please keep them out of the horse paddocks for their own safety.
This campsite offers a peaceful and secluded experience, nestled by a charming creek that adds to the tranquil atmosphere. Many visitors appreciated the privacy and the natural beauty of the surroundings, with the creek providing a lovely backdrop for relaxation. The host, Tristan, is frequently mentioned as being friendly and helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable. However, some reviews noted that the area can get muddy after rain, which can be a bit challenging for vehicles and campers alike.
Absolutely beautiful quiet place, friendly host. Grt place to get away from the world but close enough to Byron bay, other beautiful towns and beaches, waterfalls and other area attractions. Only concern was that we got our 7m off road caravan, measured from drawbar to rear of van, approx 16ft van down to camp spot. We had heaps of trouble getting back out and if it rained I would not have got out. Tristan is adding another access route, this will help. Thankyou for allowing to enjoy your beautiful property.
We stayed at Fern Gully Site. Lovely Location. However next time I would choose Stone Circle or Hipcamp Sites to get more sun on our solar.
It was also a tight squeeze to get our Explorer into Fern Gully. It would be easier at the other sites.
The venison we ordered was delicious. Highly recommend. Our dog enjoyed the camp as much as we did being off leash.
Great spot for camping, close to creek and well shaded. Tristan is a legend, warm and hospitable - had some great meat we cooked up on the campfire.
Will be back.
Absolutely beautiful spot - for both sites. Can hear the creek running which is so relaxing and zen 🧘🏻♀️ Fern Gully Creek was stunning and so hidden and private. Lots of mud there from rain and previous visitors not sticking to the gravel roads which got me bogged in a 2WD van so a shame other visitors cannot stick to the gravel roads provided. Otherwise a stunning spot, thank you Tristan.
Fern gully creek was beautiful. Lovely spot next to the creek with lots of privacy. Gets a little bit muddy if there’s rain but still a good amount of room to set up everything. Can see glow worms in the trees above the creek too when it’s very dark
What a beautiful spot! It’s perfect for camping. With plenty of shade, a lovely little creek and it feels like you’ve got the place to yourself. We would definitely recommend to others.
Private and beautiful camping spot with a running creek. Tristan was a great host; very friendly, good communication and helped us out when we had car troubles. I will be recommending this spot to my family and friends.
Great spot, super peaceful. Tristan was easy to communicate with. Definitely recommend buying a bag of his venison and pork snags, bloody delicious.
We'll stay again for sure.
Loved camping there and Tristan is a top bloke ,nice shady spot by the creek .
No reception which is great to bring you back to reality. If you get desperate you can drive or walk to the top of the property and get coverage .20 mins to the beach
Tristan was highly responsive and friendly to all my messages prior to our booking answering all the questions I had.
Directions were clear and the site is conveniently close to Byron.
We stayed at the stone circle site which was at the bottom of the hill right next to the small stream. The fern gully site also had a group but we could only hear their generators for a few hours during the day. It was a lovely spot but it did rain quite a bit over the weekend we were there, Tristan recommended we park the cars higher up and pitch the tents and gazebos close to the creek which was good advice but also was true it did get a bit slippery walking around. Access road in and out of the site was good for 2WDs to get up to the bitchumen road to exit the property and well gravelled. Tristan also has a composting toilet available for campers not far from camp which is handy. He also provided firewood for a small fee which was much appreciated!
Overall great stay would highly recommend and would stay again. :)
Beautiful and private , not many places where you can have a creek side spot all to yourself. Mossy rocks, big trees with exposed roots perched above the water, glow worms at night, crayfish, horses and a carpet python. Fun spot for the kids. Tristan is a great host, salt of the earth human.
Absolutely beautiful site! There was only one other person there so it was very quiet and peaceful. One night wasn’t enough time to soak it all in so will definitely be back again soon!
Fern Gully was so beautiful!!! Incredible spot which was really well set up. Tristan was super kind and friendly and came down to say hi to us and also gave us heaps of recommendations of what to do in the area. Super private and secluded, couldn’t even tell we were sharing the space with other people! 10/10 experience
Felt like we had our own private forest. Excellent drop toilet close to camp. My dog was super happy there, lots of space and a very tranquil environment. The location is great for its easy access to the coast. Tristan was accommodating and easy to communicate with. Highly recommended. Would definitely return.
Amazing camp ground! Such a beautiful place with an open area with trees towering over and stream running through! I stay at hip camps regularly and this was the best one I’ve been to. Host very responsive and polite!! 10/10
Great little place to camp, tucked away with lovely scenery & some farmyard animals to keep you company. The creek looks amazing & the host was very welcoming. We arrived late so the host signposted everything for us to make it extremely easy checking in to our spot.
Although the property location itself is great, it doesn't feel as if enough effort has gone into making the camp site itself worth paying for (though the supply of firewood was appreciated). The main site looks like it would be better. I stayed at the secondary, "overflow" site.
Great location: very shady, large fireplace and next to a small creek. Great for kids to play in and build dams.
Lots of mulch around which really decreases dirt being tracked in your van.
Enjoyed our stay, will be back!
Fantastic secluded spot by the creek with beautiful big trees. Well maintained spot with good compost toilet.
Tristan was a great easy going host and was a pleasure enjoying his gorgeous property
