Binghi Station Located approximately 4.5hours from Brisbane, Queensland, or 1.5 hour drive west of Tenterfield, New South Wales. Binghi Station, once a large sheep station, was a thriving tin and gem mine from the late 1800 to mid 1900. Set on 4,000 acres of natural granite rock country and untouched overgrowth of lush tea tree bushlands, the sheer beauty of the land will, without a doubt, leave you breathless of its raw natural beauty. Binghi Station surrendered to the ravaging bush fires of 2019, however, after this devastation came some much needed rainfall which brought hope; the creation of new life in the form of rich, vibrant green country not seen since the 1980’s. You can explore endlessly on this raw outback property. Discover secret hideouts, come and enjoy a swim under our flowing waterfall (for those brave enough to during the winter months!) and simply relax and soak in pure wildlife beneath a million stars in the night sky. We strongly recommend access by 4WD only as the entry 6klm driveway is rugged and very bumpy in most places due to heavy rain fall past 12 months. Please ask for more details if necessary should you have any concerns based on your equipment. Its an ongoing maintenance. The Secret Gorge site is suited to swags, tents and camper trailers. It is not suited for Caravans over 15' due to a tight corner. Other site locations are suited to off-road 4WD caravans and camper trailers. Binghi Station - an extraordinary place to make some truly wonderful family memories. :-)

Site 1 - The Secret Gorge
Loved it! Amazing campsite and great amenities considering you’re in the outback. Best campsite I’ve been too as it provided great scenery and multiple sites and water holes to drive through and check out. Will definitely be back!

Remote Beauty
I am in awe of the location of Binghi Station! Who would know that such remote, amazing landscape of hills, creeks, gorges and waterfalls even existed if it wasn't for Adrian and Oratai developing the site and allowing us to stay. The shearing shed site is a large, open, grassed area on a gentle slope looking southwest towards the hills. I chose it as I wanted the full star-scape overhead at night. During the day there is very easy access to sandy falls where if it's too cold to swim, it would be very easy to just relax by the water for hours on end. The other campsites are by the water and are accessible as well if you're staying at the shearing shed. It would be a real treat to sleep by the water though. Maybe next time! The hosts are simply beautiful people; helpful, kind and generous. Not only while I was there but after I left as well. Binghi Station is a very special place that I will certainly be going back to.

Honestly beautiful stay!
We had a wonderful time at Adrian’s property! Even though it was just a one-night stay, Adrian warmly welcomed us and invited us to explore the other campgrounds on his property, all offering something special. We wish we had longer but will definitely be back! Amazing views, clean facilities, and the 4WD tracks getting in and out were a fun surprise! We absolutely loved it and highly recommend a stay at Adrian’s place.

Absolutely lovely spot! We stayed at the shearing shed campground and were the only ones there, it has beautiful views and is so quiet and peaceful! Very well maintained land, with very clean and well set up toilets. Will definitely be back.

Site 1 - The Secret Gorge
We loved camping at the secret gorge, got the whole place to ourselves. Highly recommend staying here. Lots of room for group camping. Adrian was very accommodating and also through in some complimentary firewood, seeing that it got down to -3. Definitely head back here in the near future.
