'Bushland Hideaway' is a rural property with approx. 1 km of river frontage and is the perfect spot for small or large groups of families to relax, unwind and get away from it all in natures own environment. We offer clear blue skies during the day and starry skies at night, peaceful large grassy campsites beside the Dumaresq River surrounded by magnificent gum and oak trees shared with native wildlife. All our campsites are readily accessible for all types of vehicles, caravans or RVs. We welcome quiet, respectful, nature-loving campers who enjoy all that Bushland Hideaway offers including fishing, swimming, canoeing, walking and bicycle tracks, photography etc. Public waste bins are available at the entrance from the main road, Campfires permitted in designated fire pit areas when the season permits - please check. Firewood is available for sale or BYO. Clean Porta Loo's or bush toilet's available at each site. Nearest dump point at Yelarbon -23 klm away. Pets considered on booking.

A wonderful place to relax and enjoy yourself. I could easily have spent more time enjoying the river and surrounding bushland. The camp sites are spacious and easy to use.

We loved this spot. So peaceful, plenty of room to explore and let the children run around. Phil & Anne were very welcoming and kind. Wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend.

Wonderful hosts and an amazing spot. I arrived at night. Phil had a fire started for me. It was great waking up next to the river. I wish I had more time but will be back.

Wonderful surrounds, plenty of room, 35 bird species within a couple of hours, great to see the white bellied cuckoo & flycatchers. Oh and a wbse too. Will come again.

We absolutely loved our stay. Phil and Anne are top notch hosts. Toilet was clean and well stocked. Firewood available for purchase but it was good quality wood that lasted us the trip and then some. Phil lent us some kayaks free of charge to use for our stay and also helped us dig for some worms to use as bait for fishing in the river. The wildlife was incredible - so many amazing birds! The site felt private and it was nice and flat for our camper trailer. Would highly recommend! We will be back!

Big flat and grassy camp sites, shade under the big gum tree on the river bank, this place is magic. This is my second time to this camp and it’s just as good as the first visit. We will be back for sure 🙏

A serene and peaceful location right on the banks of the Dumaresq River. Portaloo was one of the cleanest I have ever used. Phil and Anne were the perfect hosts :) We had the most wonderful stay - didn't want to leave!!

We originally booked 1 night but loved it so much booked a second night. Such a beautiful place and beautiful host, Phil and Anne are such warming welcoming people. We can’t wait to come back, It was so refreshing and resetting.

Great spot next to the river and the hosts were very friendly showing us the way to the river and camp sites good level areas to set up on with fire places fishing was a bonus with some good yellow belly for dinner definitely be back

Great spot highly recommend. Anne and Phil where very accommodating toilet was well maintained. Great grass site. River had a constant flow was great for swimming and fishing.

Cocky's Rest
Lovely place right on the creek! Directions were easy. Phil and Anne met us at the entry to show us our site and were awesome to chat with and love to see people enjoy their property. Ordered firewood and it was waiting for us upon arrival. It was great and burned well. Will definitely be back! Thanks so much Anne & Phil.

Was a lovely flat grass spot, with splattering of trees, next time we visit will pack the gazebo for the midday shade. Only managed to catch a carp, but enjoyed our trip. Was loads of birds and wildlife to enjoy.

Anne & Phil are the most welcoming hosts. They meet you at the gate and guide you to your site. Once you get there ……… WOW!!! We were blown away by the space allocated to each site and the pride Anne & Phil take in maintaining each site. The grass is mowed regularly and there are clean drop toilets or Porta loos for each site. Anne even dropped by with some home grown Zucchini for us which we thoroughly enjoyed with our roast dinner. Each site also has a fire pit and where we stayed, stoney corner, had a large & a small fire pit. There is easy access to the river which was refreshing for a dip on a hot day. There were also kayaks and life jackets available for us to use. We can’t recommended this camp enough, especially for a couple who want get away from the hustle & bustle of caravan parks, but still have the convenience of a loo. Thank you Anne & Phil for sharing your piece of paradise with us and making us feel so welcome.
