Paul S.’s Land, Colorado
Once a part of a very large Spanish Land Grant the area is still called The Baca Grande! The large residential portion is situated next to the old mining tiny town of Crestone (8,000 ft elevation.) By far the largest portion of the original Baca Land Grant is now a managed and protected National Wildlife Refuge Area. It stretches out to the South from the Baca Grande residential area several miles, all the way to the famous Sand Dunes.
