Limekiln State Park
Peaceful walks, crashing surf, and aggressive squirrels—a perfect intro to Big Sur.
Towering redwoods and staggeringly beautiful views of the Big Sur coast will make you never want to leave this California state park that's just 56 miles south of Carmel.

Come through the park entrance off Highway 1, then choose from a dozen campsites right by the beach (and underneath one of those famous PCH bridges), with other sites f
