Private camping at its best with access to 16 acre beaver pond (canoes and kayaks available for use), endless trails to explore, bird and other wildlife watching on thousands of acres of undeveloped land in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.  Tent sites are private and are situated on the edge of a meadow and surrounded by forest.  At night enjoy smores by the campfire and stargazing.  Select from over ten lakes less than 30 minutes from the farm, including NH's largest lake, Lake Winnipesaukee or Winnisquam Lake where you can swim, rent speed boats and fish.  Hike in NH's mountains, two of our favorite climbs are Mt. Major with beautiful views of Lake Winnipesaukee and Frankenstein Cliff/Arethusa Falls Loop in NH's White Mountain Forest.  Just a five minute drive is Heritage Farm Pancake House who serve up great homemade breakfasts, has a petting area, corn-maze, maple sugaring operation and many other farm-related fun including as well as an ice cream shop that serves up fresh-made ice cream specialties including gluten and dairy-fee cashew ice cream.  If you prefer not to leave the farm you are welcome to have a relaxing paddle on the pond and hike to your hearts content right from your campsite; pick blueberries and blackberries when in season along the trails.  The property is a gentlemen's farm with Lowline Angus cattle, chickens, honey bees and, at times, hogs and turkeys.  Stroll through organic vegetable gardens, fruit orchards and flower gardens galore on the property.  Farm Fresh food baskets are available for purchase which include a breakfast basket with farm fresh eggs, homemade muffins, bacon or sausage and fresh fruit or try a dinner basket that would include beef, pork, moose or venison, vegetables and biscuits or rolls and dessert; prices vary depending upon selections and quantity - inquire when registering regarding Farm Fresh Baskets.  Themed weekends may include introduction to eco-dying, lead hiking adventures in back woods, outdoor cooking, introduction to beekeeping or raising small flocks or herds.  This is our first season as Hip Camp hosts - we look forward to sharing our special place with you.
