The wooded area is next to my house. There's about 4 acres to explore and a gravel road hardly traveled for a nice walk to a view for a great sunset.  Harrisonburg is 5 minutes from here and has lots of night life, micro breweries etc. I have long power cords if you need electric at the campsite. You may hear owls hooting at night.  The campsite is under white pines with a thick bed of pine needles. There are several campsites under the red cedar trees that are naturally bug and mosquito resistant.     Shenandoah National Park is about 45 minutes away if you go to the 33 entrance and 45 minutes away to go to the Luray entrance. Lots of bears there and hikes to waterfalls. No hunting there.  Solar panels provide half of my energy needs. GW National forest has lots of hiking and mt biking and is half an hour away. Great views of the mountains from the  campsite area.  I'm dedicated to having lots of native plants and trees. I do not spray any pesticides.  Plenty of free firewood. Not too far off interstate 81.  I give tours of the mushroom farm whenever the weather isn't below freezing.

Great little site! Orv showed us Jupiter and its moons through a scope and gave a tour of his mushroom farm. It was pretty chilly for camping, so we were grateful when hot coals awaited us after returning from our adventures during the day. Thank you Orv!

The space provided nice tree cover and was quiet but the pictures weren’t quite as advertised due to a lot of things laying around the space/property. We only saw Orv briefly as we were checking out nearby Harrisonburg and he recommended a great place for food.

Orv was a WONDERFUL host. Our dogs had the best time running around and playing in the foliage. Plenty of room and lots of firewood supplied.

Orv’s farm is awesome! The campsite was great, and in a prime location just 10 minutes from downtown HBurg. We were lucky enough to get a tour of the mushroom farm and learn a bit more about it. Orv was super accommodating and met us at the site upon arrival to give us an overview of the property. Look forward to our next stay here!

Orv was such a kind and thoughtful host! He gave us a tour of the mushroom production, and set up his telescope to show us and the other guests an incredible view of the moon, Jupiter, and Saturn since it was a clear night. The space was clean and easy to access, and the short drive to Harrisonburg was super convenient. I can’t wait to come back for another trip!
