While we chose a colder time of year than is optimal for most campers, we still appreciated the views, the river, the sizable well managed camping area, and Ken & Rachel’s friendliness and offerings at their River Front site. They have lovely fire pits (for when wildfire threat is low) and provide a big bucket to get river water to squelch it when done, sturdy picnic tables, gas grills for both sites, substantial flat areas for tent set up, and a very clean and airy “outhouse” complete with hand sanitizer. The geographical landscape continuing up the road is spectacular, and even more special given it’s probably not seen by many. Hopefully we’ll get back sometime when things are blooming, as we were told it’s even more beautiful.
