Ever wanted to camp along the Green River? We invite you to come stay on our property and experience it for yourself. Enjoy beautiful white sandy beaches nestled among cottonwood trees right along the river, where the only sounds you’ll hear are those of nature. Guests can spend their time fishing, tubing, kayaking, or simply relaxing along the water. Depending on the time of year, the surrounding area is also great for riding ATVs or dirt bikes. At night, with no city lights nearby, the sky opens up to incredible stargazing. Our property is conveniently located near some of the area’s top attractions. The Dinosaur National Monument Quarry Visitor Center and the famous Quarry Exhibit Hall, where you can see an incredible wall containing approximately 1,500 dinosaur fossils still embedded in the rock, are just 10 miles away. If you’d like to explore even more of the monument, the Canyon Visitor Center (Monument Headquarters) is only 25 miles from the property. Looking for adventure? Adrift Dinosaur, one of the area’s premier rafting outfitters, is located just 3.5 miles away, offering unforgettable Class II and III through whitewater rafting trips through Split Mountain Gorge. Prefer to stay on land? You’ll find endless hiking opportunities nearby, with scenic trails ranging from easy walks to challenging backcountry adventures, all showcasing the breathtaking beauty of Dinosaur National Monument and the surrounding landscape. We offer two different campsites: • Green River Getaway– Located directly along the Green River, surrounded by cottonwood trees and white sandy beaches, providing a true riverside camping experience. • Cottonwood Hideout– This site includes a fence and gate between the campsite and the river, making it a great option for guests with small children. It also features cottonwood trees that provide shade from the summer sun. *Book either campsite and have the entire property to yourself! We manually block off the other site whenever one is booked, so there will never be two separate camping parties staying at the same time. Enjoy the river, beach, and beautiful surroundings in complete privacy. *During the summer months, mosquitoes can occasionally be heavy due to the proximity to the river. To help with this, we provide tiki torches filled with mosquito-repellent oil at both campsites. We also recommend bringing personal insect repellent for added comfort. If you happen to forget, we do keep some available for purchase. We look forward to hosting you and sharing this peaceful riverside setting.

Cottonwood Hideout is located on the 4-acre, fully fenced-in Carter property in Jensen, Utah. It has access to a trail that will lead you a very short distance (roughly 75 feet) to the Greenriver. With white sandy beaches that are so big, it gives the feeling that you are a million miles from nowhere. Come kick off your shoes and feel the sand between your toes, and take advantage of the slow-rolling, enjoyable river where you can cool off or even go for a swim. But don't forget to bring your favorite water toys and have a blast. Whether it's Floaties, a kayak, a kanoo, a paddleboat, or a paddleboard, you're sure to make memories that will last a lifetime. Maybe even try your luck with Ol' Mr. Wiskers and do some night (or day) fishing, or just enjoy watching possibly one of the most BEAUTIFUL sunsets you will ever see. Back at the site, enjoy the newly grassed site and the nice shade that the surrounding cottonwood trees provide, as well as the quietness and beautiful sounds of nature that cannot be experienced in the city. There’s a firepit where you can make even more memories roasting some hotdogs or making smores with the little ones. But before you close your eyes for the night, make sure to look up at the millions of stars shining bright (without the city lights around) and see if you can find the northern star, the big or little dipper, or even the Orians belt! Please keep in mind that being this close to the water the mosquitoes can be thick so you may want to bring some repellent. If you happen to forget, we do keep some available for purchase. We also offer tiki torches that are set up at the site with Bite fighter oil provided. All you will need to do is light them. If the water level isn't too high, and you're a prospector, don't forget your gold pan! Because the flower gold in the black sand is plentiful!!

Green River Getaway is located along the River. Wake up just steps from beautiful white sandy beaches at our cozy riverside campsite! Tucked around the cottonwood trees, this peaceful little site is the perfect place to slow down, relax, and enjoy the sounds of the river and nature around you. Spend your days exploring the river, relaxing on the sandy beach, or sitting around the firepit making memories with the family. When night falls, look up and enjoy a sky full of stars without the city lights. This site is best suited for tents, camper vans, pop-up tents, and very small campers. Due to the size and access of the site, larger trailers and RVs will not fit. And the best part? When you book this site, we block off our other campsite so you’ll have the entire property to yourselves! 🏕️🌊 🦟 Summer Note: Being right along the river means mosquitoes can be more noticeable during the warmer months. We provide two tiki torches to help keep them away, but we recommend bringing your favorite mosquito repellent just in case. Forgot yours? No worries, we have mosquito repellent available for $4 a can!

The hosts were great! Friendly and welcoming, greeting me with a s’mores kit and firewood that we discussed prior to my arrival 😎 The spot is private and comfortable, with the house being not all that far away, but nicely separated by a section of woods. And the river/beach is only feet away!
