Camp Along the Green River Ever wanted to camp along the Green River? We invite you to come stay on our property and experience it for yourself. Enjoy beautiful white sandy beaches nestled among cottonwood trees right along the river, where the only sounds you’ll hear are those of nature. Guests can spend their time fishing, tubing, kayaking, or simply relaxing along the water. Depending on the time of year, the surrounding area is also great for riding ATVs or four-wheelers. At night, with no city lights nearby, the sky opens up to incredible stargazing. We offer two different campsites: • Riverside Site – Located directly along the Green River, surrounded by cottonwood trees and white sandy beaches, providing a true riverside camping experience. • Family Site – This site includes a fence and gate between the campsite and the river, making it a great option for guests with small children. It also features cottonwood trees that provide shade from the summer sun. During the summer months, mosquitoes can occasionally be heavy due to the proximity to the river. To help with this, we provide tiki torches filled with mosquito-repellent oil at both campsites—guests simply need to light them as needed. We also recommend bringing personal insect repellent for added comfort. If you happen to forget, we do keep some available for purchase. Site 1 is located on the 4+-acre, fully fenced-in Carter property in Jensen, Utah. It has access to a trail that will lead you a very short distance (roughly 75 feet) to the Greenriver. With white sandy beaches that are so big, it gives the feeling that you are a million miles from nowhere. Come kick off your shoes and feel the sand between your toes, and take advantage of the slow-rolling, enjoyable river where you can cool off or even go for a swim. But don't forget to bring your favorite water toys and have a blast. Whether it's Floaties, a kayak, a kanoo, a paddleboat, or a paddleboard, you're sure to make memories that will last a lifetime. Maybe even try your luck with Ol' Mr. Wiskers and do some night (or day) fishing, or just enjoy watching possibly one of the most BEAUTIFUL sunsets you will ever see. Back at the site, enjoy the nice shade that the surrounding cottonwood trees provide, as well as the quietness and beautiful sounds of nature that cannot be experienced in the city. There’s a firepit where you can make even more memories roasting some hotdogs or making smores with the little ones. But before you close your eyes for the night, make sure to look up at the millions of stars shining bright (without the city lights around) and see if you can find the northern star, the big or little dipper, or even the Orians belt! Please keep in mind that being this close to the water the mosquitoes can be thick so you may want to bring some repellent. If you happen to forget, we do keep some available for purchase. We also offer tiki torches that are set up at the site with Bite fighter oil provided. All you will need to do is light them. If the water level isn't too high, and you're a prospector, don't forget your gold pan! Because the flower gold in the black sand is plentiful!!

Ever wanted to camp along the beautiful Green River? We (the Carters) invite you to experience it for yourself. Whether you’re a local looking for a peaceful getaway or a traveler passing through, you’ll find no shortage of things to explore and enjoy in this valley. The surrounding area offers a wide variety of outdoor recreation. Nearby attractions include Dinosaur National Monument, scenic hiking trails, mountain biking routes, and miles of terrain perfect for ATV or side-by-side riding. Guests also enjoy fishing, floating the river, and simply relaxing while taking in the natural beauty of the area. Whatever your outdoor interests may be, this valley rarely disappoints. Please keep in mind that being close to the river means mosquitoes can occasionally be present, so bringing insect repellent is recommended. To help make your stay more comfortable, we provide tiki torches around the campsite with BiteFighter oil—simply light them as needed. And one more tip: if the river levels are low and you enjoy prospecting, don’t forget to bring a gold pan. Fine “flour gold” can sometimes be found in the black sand along the riverbanks. Surrounded by trees and crunchy fall leaves! We booked last minute and Kayla was very responsive and accommodating. We had water and power and all the quiet and peace we needed. Kayla is quick to respond to messages and happy to help! We will stay again!

We very much enjoyed our stay here. It was very easy to park the trailer and very very minimal we had to do to level the trailer. Access to water and electricity was awesome. And a very short walk to the river to go fishing. Will definitely stay here again. Kayla and here husband were amazing hosts.

Nice spot in Jensen and close to dinosaur National Monument. The site was nice and being so close to the river was great. The water was chilly but refreshing. My dog loved swimming. The river sand was super soft. All in all, we had an excellent time and would love to come back. Kayla is super helpful and responsive. There was power and water at the cottonwood site, power was 120 volt extension cord.

Green River Getaway

It was lovely to be right next to the river and Kayla and Wyatt and their daughter Hayzlee were excellent hosts. The first day there was quite a bit of beach in front of our camper and our daughters loved playing in it. Then the water came up and there wasn’t as much left by the end, but that’s the nature of being on a river! The Riverside campsite is pretty tricky to get into with a trailer… Just a heads up depending on the size rig you have and your navigating in tight spaces skills! Kayla and Hayzlee and watched our dog for us two different days so we could go into the monument unencumbered. Thanks so much!

Very easy to find nice private backyard that backs up to the green river. Heard birds singing all night long by the river and then got to photograph a beautiful California quail on my way out this morning. Kayla was very responsive and tried to anticipate everything I might need.

Peaceful camping spot! It was closer to the house than I thought, but the positioning of the spot made it completely private with our trailer and truck. Never noticed any noise from the home. The beach access was amazingly beautiful. Water was slow running so it would be great to paddle out onto. Bugs were not an issue like we expected. Kayla's communications were helpful and polite. Will stay here again on future trips to Dino!

Kayla was an excellent host. We had a delay getting to her property and she was communicative, and supportive of our late arrival. The site was simple, level, quiet, isolated, and the services worked great. We have no complaints, would stay there again, and recommend it to other travelers. As a bonus the property is only moments from Dinosaur N. M. and the Green River.

Great spot to park our motorhome. Very private and secluded. The river was a 30 second walk to the sandy shore. Easy to find the place. Kayla was a great host. I would stay here again.

Private and beautiful setting. We had the whole property to ourselves. Hosts were very nice although not on site. The site was a bit rough. OK for us but some might not like it. Be sure to contact hosts about your power requirements. We did not have a true 30 amp service. Again, this was OK for us but for some larger rigs this may be a problem. I believe the these sites are a work-in-progress and as time goes on the sites may become more refined. We had a good experience and loved the privacy. We also had a visit from a neighbors cows. We would consider comming back again.

The site was not as advertised. There would be no way you would be able to get a trailer into the site. They were unprepared for me to arrive. I do not recommend anyone to stay at this location. I made my initial assessment and left without staying.
