The 1.3 acre parcel across the street from the house and farm has a forested peninsula that the A-frame is located on. Our street ends in a small stream that continues to separate the farmstead from the A-frame site. Come stay in our tiny rustic A frame cabin built of mostly reclaimed materials. Enjoy being across the stream and over the bridge from the main house on a private peninsula. Enjoy the privacy of a "single site" camp! Use the fire pit, grill, outdoor wood stove, single burner butane stove or umm the bathroom :) without having to leave your site! Please be aware we are in town and you may hear road noise, lawn mowers, dogs, ect. You may also see and hear wildlife ex; deer, beavers, ducks, muskrats, rabbits, geese, foxes, and coyotes. We encourage native plants and work to provide a sanctuary for many threatened bird species. The cabin is 100sq. feet with sloping interior walls the flip up side wall is permanently open and screened in. There is no running water or electricity so unplug and unwind. A place to plug in and the water spigot a short stroll from your cabin in the driveway The cabin has a a full size mattress with sheets, blankets, throws and pillows. Lanterns, cooking utensils, camp mugs and camp coffee pot are provided. Please request the cast iron skillet and butane burner, it will not be in the cabin if you do not ask for it. You are also welcome to set up your own tent. Please note cleared space is limited and the tent should be a 1-3 person smaller tent. Outside on the deck are tiki torches, woodstove and bistro table. There is a hammock, picnic table, and 2 sets of outdoor chairs at your site. We do not have a swimming hole but the town beach is 5 minutes away and requires a day pass. If you forget something you are a short walk to Cumbies, and several farms, bakeries and a large grocer are a very short drive away. Venture farther (10 minutes) to one of the nearby hiking trails. We are within 15 minutes of the Blackstone Gorge, Southern New England Trunkline Trail, Cornier Woods, Franklin State Forest, Wojcik Farm, Cook's Valley Farm, the New England Bonsai Museum, Diamond Hill Vineyards, Caroline's Cannabis, Shire Conservation Area, New England Country Club, and many stables. The Commuter Rail to Boston, Wrentham Premium Outlets, and a Drive-in Theater are within 30 minutes. Use us as a base to explore Blackstone Valley, Boston and Worcester!! It is run as a small non-profit animal sanctuary and is home to rescued chickens, goats, and pigs, as well as two humans and their dog and cat companions. The main property is fenced in and is closed off to visitors. We have two sites; the orchard to explore that can also double as hammock camping, as well as a small wooded nook. This site is large and private with dozens of unique features and details that make spending time here so delightful. The treehouse was stocked with books, games, led light fans, bug spray, and a refrigerator. From the screened porch we saw so many birds flying over the lake. We enjoyed a walk through the forest and saw a family of turkeys! Outside there is a fire pit, charcoal grill and gas grill. It was very hot so we didn’t get a chance to use these. The host was helpful with our initial questions, and the only thing we would have changed was the 90 degree weather! This site is a short drive from Mystic and Westerly with great restaurants and shops.

Weekend Trip to Getaway Ranch

Just got back from a wonderful two night stay at Getaway Ranch. Karyssa was a wonderful host who provided us with wood for the fire ring our first night and quick responses to any questions we had. The Overlook site was great, we had plenty of spots to choose to pitch our tents. We enjoyed the view of the river from the stone bench and had great meals and conversation around the table and campfire. The dogs absolutely loved their time here with plenty to explore and we loved having them with us. We also enjoyed the peace and quiet and falling asleep to the sounds of bull frogs and waking up to beautiful birdsongs. We are definitely going to come back again.

The Yurt Campsite was perfect for a camping girls’ trip to celebrate my daughter’s 11 birthday. She especially loved the hammock near the river. Karyssa was very accommodating and was quick to answer any questions we had, even bringing special fire color packets to make the fire magical for the birthday girl. The set up of tents, air mattress, and fire made it easy for inexperienced campers like us.

I found this place looking for a place to go tent camping and stumbled upon the treehouse. After looking at the pictures I realized I wanted to pay for the upgrade. I am 100 percent happy I did. The amount of details and heart that was put into this place cannot be put into words. If you are thinking about this treehouse, do it. I cannot recommend it enough. Also the more you explore the treehouse, the more cool things you will experience. I don't want to ruin the surprise of finding and trying things that I have not attempted in years. Just know that this place comes with side quests.

Nice secluded in spot near trails. The sight and area around the road looks recently cleared but still nicer than most Hipcamp a I’ve stayed at. i expect it will look naturalized after a few months of regrowth and be an exceptional site.

Kathleen was a great host, we were able to pull in after dark crash for the night and get setup in the morning for our second night. I enjoyed the hammock for a nice mid day rest. Watch out for ticks if you wander in the bushes (normal north east experience). Plenty of seasoned firewood available. Very Nice firepits.

My first time using hipcamp and this experience was great the host was super easy to talk to and gave clear instructions and the cutest map with directions. Campsite was really clean and spacious with a good sized fire pit very relaxing atmosphere i am definitely coming back thanks chantell !!

It's a very nice location, Blake is very attentive and would bring us new jugs of water, the site is clean and has a list of recommended spots to go nearby, the beach is okay but close, there's a nice pickleball court nearby, very comfortable for camping, includes a pantry, a comfortable in-tent mattress, a firepit for cooking...

I have stayed at several camp sites at Getaway ranch now including The main site, the yurt site, the overlook site, and cow springs. Truly you cannot go wrong with any of them. They all offer total privacy and the opportunity to see plenty of wildlife. Karyssa is an awesome host and has always responded quickly anytime I have reached out. Getaway ranch is an awesome place and I would recommend it to anyone!!

This was easily the best place my boyfriend and I have ever camped. It’s private yet accessible, extremely quiet, and most of all: BEAUTIFUL! The spot we stayed at overlooks a gorgeous river (which you can kayak but it was too windy for us). Lots of great hiking in the area, also a short drive to the beach which was an unexpected bonus. The host was very quick to respond and was super hospitable. The bathroom was always very clean, and the site was spotless when we arrived. She even provided a trash can! I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place. We will absolutely be back and if you’re thinking about booking this place: DO IT!!! You won’t regret it. :-)
