The Cape Cod Acre is a cozy one acre oasis just 1 mile from beautiful Cape Cod Bay. Our Honey Shack is a private off grid (no electricity) tiny camp, nestled between pine trees and blueberry bushes. Nearby you can enjoy stunning beaches, hiking, paddling (fresh water ponds or the ocean), surfing, biking (access to the to the Cape Cod Rail Trail is less than a 10 minute drive), great food, restaurants and shops. The Honey Shack is an off grid (no electricity) tiny shack located in a private corner of our yard. Campers will enjoy a comfortable loft style bed (bring your own blankets!), a plush built in couch, a small private deck, and an indoor sitting area/counter with a hand washing sink (tap water supplied with portable water tanks). The composting toilet is in a custom built outhouse*, and we will allow scheduled access to our outdoor shower (hot and cold water- attached to our house). Spend your time secluded among the surrounding pine trees, or meet our chickens, and honey bees, on our property. Take a 20 minute walk to the beach or a quick bike ride. Enjoy the best of Cape Cod with an easy drive to beaches, parks, restaurants, and shopping. There is no fridge or electricity supplied to the honey shack. While the shack is comfy and waterproof, it is basic…it’s camping but cuter. You will most likely meet a spider or a bug, and while we provide some lighting a headlamp or flashlight is recommended. The structure is 13x7ft, just enough space to relax! *With our composting toilet we will supply the disposal bag and wood shaving covering, campers are responsible for disposing of the bagged waste. We live on property, and can frequently be found outside, but will respect your space. Say hello if you want, ask for tips, or keep to yourself! Neighbors are close by, but woods and fence provide plenty of privacy. We have honey bee hives on property! They are generally docile and mind their own beeswax (ha!), but if you have a bee allergy or fear of bees this may not be the spot for you.

Honey Shack
No security, poor lighting, spiders
The shack was decently built, it could be better. The building wasn't insulted at all so it felt damp in the room and very cold. The shower was outside with no roof or anything and no lights, I had to prop up my phone to with it's light to see anything and it got wet. There's 0 security with this room. The door does not lock at all. There's lots of spiders, bugs, and other creepy crawlys watching you sleep. Some even bite you in the night. We slept with the lights on. Good for one night if you need a spot with a shower if these aren't deal breakers for you.

Honey Shack
I arrived during pouring rain so this tiny cabin was a welcome refuge. A cozy dry place to shelter in. Used the "couch" with my sleeping bag and was very comfortable. Awoke around midnight and realized the rain has finally stopped and saw clear skies. Went out early in the morning so it was not until that afternoon that I toured the place. Very nice secluded spot in a corner of the property. Wooded with cozy fire circle for relaxing. Signs and solar lights guide guests around. Solar charging station inside is nice for phone batteries and low wattage lamps. Hostess was very helpful and excellent communicator. I'll visit again

Honey Shack
Highly recommend after a beach day!
I cannot recommend this place enough! Holeigh was kind, communicative, and very flexible with our shifting beach day plans for check in. The space itself is small but we fit four people without too much trouble. It was really nice not having to set up tents after a day in the sun. The rudimentary lights, water, and outhouse were all good – and the outdoor shower was the highlight. The space it also private which is great. 10/10 would stay again - thanks!

Honey Shack
Perfect weekend getaway!
The Honey Shack was the perfect weekend getaway for two! It was in such a central location and we were easily able to go to Truro, Wellfleet, and Chatham, but still had a private, woodsy feel. We absolutely loved using the fire pit and watching the stars. Holeigh and her partner were so hospitable and kind, we would love to come back!
