On our farm we grow Christmas Tress, have 2 beautiful cypress ponds full of waterfowl and fish. Also there are green lanes and fields and if your lucky you can catch site or deer, turkeys, all sorts of birds maybe even a cute baby armadillo. In just over 45 minutes you can be playing on the beach in Panama City Beach, (world’s most beautiful beaches). Something a little different is just a few minutes away Falling Waters state park (Florida's tallest waterfall) and a swimming hole with walking trails. Speaking of swimming Ponce De Leon spring is big and beautiful clear blue hole spring to the west. Or go east to Marriana, about the same distance and you can visit Florida Caverns (Florida's only touring cave) with a beautiful spring with swimming, and hiking there too. We have guest also go to the Econfina Springs and canoe rental and spend a day floating the beautiful Ecofina River with 8 springs to visit on a days float. There are many State parks so close. If you want to go out to eat or socialize a local brewery and restaurants are very close and beautiful Alabama too! We are super easy to visit if you are coming from the north out of Dothan are on Interstate 10 we are just Located 1.4 miles North of Interstate right on Hwy 231. Easy access to the interstate, fuel and shopping. The farm is gated with a remote controlled gate for security. All our RV sites have full hook ups with 15, 30, and 50 amp connections, great clean water and sewer at each site. Also a dump station on the property. We are currently working on a bath house with laundry facilities will be ready by the fall of 23. a total of 4 sites on 100 acres (with a couple of more in the works with some tent site on the horizon too) you are sure to be able to find a quiet place. Very well, kept with a beautiful scenery, the fact that there’s only three campsites is really nice as well so you don’t feel overcrowded. The firewood, being chopped and ready for you for $.50 a log was awesome. Beautiful sunrise, and sunset, I highly suggest you try to stay up just for a little bit because we were able to see a ton of shooting stars.

We loved camping at Sweetwater Daze River camp! The grounds were very well maintained and setup was a breeze. The river was beautiful, and the atmosphere was peaceful. We had a great time hanging out by the river with a nice fire and watching the stars at night. But the best was going with Jay on a river tour! He has so much local knowledge about the river and the surrounding area. The places we got to see were stunning! So be sure to ask him about his boat tour, you won’t be disappointed. This is definitely one of our favorite camp sites, we will definitely be back!

What a beautiful, peaceful welcoming place & Host. We were greated by Sasha, Max a little princess. William came out and chatted with us and showed us all around his beautiful property. Full hookups, a beautiful Bathroom & Shower and washer and dryer area along with table. We had a nice picnic table and a big fire ring which we did use. William has beautiful fruit trees and a garden with chickens.. so cute. The fruit was delicious. We enjoyed cheese & crackers and drinks with William around the campfire and wonderful conversation. Very quiet and the pine trees were so pretty. We wish we could have stayed longer and in the future we will. This was one of our favorite places to stay. A must visit place. :)

Some stay over on the way to the beach or southern Florida and revisit on their way back home and even some end up staying for a couple of days when they are surprised at all there is to do. Also inquire about snowbirding or a possible work camp opportunity. Please plan on visiting and check out all the great things to do so close. On our farm we grow Christmas Tress, have 2 beautiful cypress ponds full of waterfowl and fish. Also there are green lanes and fields and if your lucky you can catch site or deer, turkeys, all sorts of birds maybe even a cute baby armadillo. In just over 45 minutes you can be playing on the beach in Panama City Beach, (world’s most beautiful beaches). Something a little different is just a few minutes away Falling Waters state park (Florida's tallest waterfall) and a swimming hole with walking trails. Speaking of swimming Ponce De Leon spring is big and beautiful clear blue hole spring to the west. Or go east to Marriana, about the same distance and you can visit Florida Caverns (Florida's only touring cave) with a beautiful spring with swimming, and hiking there too. We have guest also go to the Econfina Springs and canoe rental and spend a day floating the beautiful Ecofina River with 8 springs to visit on a days float. There are many State parks so close. If you want to go out to eat or socialize a local brewery and restaurants are very close and beautiful Alabama too! We are super easy to visit if you are coming from the north out of Dothan are on Interstate 10 we are just Located 1.4 miles North of Interstate right on Hwy 231. Easy access to the interstate, fuel and shopping. The farm is gated with a remote controlled gate for security. All our RV sites have full hook ups with 15, 30, and 50 amp connections, great clean water and sewer at each site. Also a dump station on the property. Venture underground into the Florida Caverns—the highlight of the eponymous state park—and you’ll be rewarded with a dazzling exposition of Mother Nature. Gigantic stalactites, stalagmites, and flowstones adorn the limestone caves, and guided tours always feel like an adventure. Above ground, the forested floodplains provide plenty more options for outdoor activities, from boating and canoeing along the Chipola River to cycling, horseback riding, and hiking along more than eight miles of trails. Campers will find plenty of space for RVs and tents at the Blue Hole Campground, and there are also equestrian sites nearby. 

Tips for snagging a campsite

  1. You can reserve the 32 full hookup campsites or six equestrian sites at Blue Hole Campground via the Florida State Parks Reservation website. 
  2. Florida Caverns State Park campsite reservations can be made 11 months in advance for Florida residents, or 10 months in advance for non-residents.
  3. Campsites can book up as fast, especially for cabins in peak season (April-September) or over holiday weekends, so book at least three months in advance.

When to go

Cavern tours run every week (aside from Christmas and Thanksgiving) from Thursday through Monday. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, with the first slot at 9 am, so it’s a good idea to arrive early to snag a spot (particularly if you’re visiting on a summer weekend). Exploring the park is possible year-round, but it’s most colorful during spring and early summer when wildflowers bloom along the floodplains.

Know before you go

  • Florida Caverns State Park is located about a 5-minute drive north of Marianna. The main entrance is along Caverns Road, and there are four parking lots located within the park.
  • There are day-use fees for all Florida State Parks, and campsite booking fees also apply. The caverns can be visited by guided tour only, and fees apply. 
  • You can bring your own small boat or watercraft to the state park. Swimming is permitted only in the designated area, and there is no lifeguard patrol. 
  • Facilities at Florida Caverns include a Visitor Center, a restaurant and gift shop, restrooms, a playground, and picnic areas with grills.
  • There are accessible restrooms, campsites, and picnic areas at Florida Caverns State Park.

Florida Caverns State Park Campground
The campground has everything you could need. Bathrooms are super clean and have hot water. All the spots have a grassy area so it’s a great place if you’re bringing fur babies and/or kids. There are awesome trails nearby and it was so cool to see all the wildlife.

Not bad. Staff was helpful and grounds were well kept. Game room and pool were good. The only draw back was if you wanted a camp fire you had to rent a fire pit and that was a new one for us.
