Our property is surrounded by nature, yet only a 5 minute drive into town where you will find charming shops, restaurants, cafes and coffee houses, a fabulous movie theater and only 15 minutes to Red Wind Casino. There is a railroad track next to the property, only used on Tues. and Thurs. between 10 am and 1 pm. Rarely, it may have an additional passing but it has never run after dark or early morning. We had a wonderful time at the Alder Grove Retreat! The cabin was comfortable, thoughtfully designed, and stocked, and the view was beautiful. A perfect place to spend the night after kayaking on Lake Alder. It was also a cool place to wait out a thunder, lightning, and hail storm the next morning. Dawson was an attentive and responsive host, we are just sad that we got rained out this morning and didn't get to stop by the crystal shop!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Mary and Lloyd's tiny cabin. The site is beautiful and thoughtfully put together. The cabin/ bed were very comfortable, the directions to get to the site were clear, and the bathtub was awesome with an incredible view. It was a great place to rest after exploring Mt. Rainier. This is more than just a cabin. It feels more like an oasis away from reality. Scott is a fantastic host, the property is gorgeous and the fenced property is an immense joy for people with more than one dog! I can’t recommend this place enough

The Lookout was such a fun way to spend the 4th of July. We enjoyed the fireworks at night and Mayfield Lake during the day. The camp was adorable and the games were a hit with everyone. We had the best time!

Weekend Trip to Otter Pond Riverfront Getaway

We’ve been here several times and it is always fabulous. The trailer is very well equipped, the covered outside area by the trailer is perfect, and though it isn’t far from the owner’s home it feels very secluded. Big plus is a walk to the river where there is a fire pit for nighttime. We saw bats at sunset, many kinds of birds, and listened to bullfrogs in the nearby pond. One of he best places we have ever stayed.

Weekend Trip to Glamping In The Wild

Definitely beautiful and well maintained property. Nature is the backdrop, and all worries melt away. The tent, bed, amenities made us feel like we were “home” outdoors. I don’t really want others to book this, I want to be able to access this space again.

Weekend Trip to Camper in the Firs

Lovely little camper in the woods, with the most beautiful scenery. We saw lots of wildlife, including a fox, deer, eagles, many birds, and a river otter. The deck is lovely to hang out on, and the covered lounge area has a great view. We enjoyed BBQing on the deck, also appreciated that we could make and eat breakfast inside. For folks who love details, the camper has a medium sized fridge (think bigger than a hotel mini fridge) with plenty of space for beverages, meat, and frozen stuff. There’s a microwave and stove, plus a coffee maker that they left us water to use! Lots of DVDs, games, and BBQ tools. The kitchen also has plates, bowls, and silverware, plus some cooking tools. There’s also plenty of cabinet for storage. We loved staying here and would come again!

What a pleasant gem of a cabin. Quiet and peaceful with an incredible view. I hope we can be back soon to soak up more Rainier adventures!

The Dragonfly Den is a 10x20 canvas walled cabin with a wooden floor, twin beds, private fully equipped outdoor kitchen, private bbq, private outhouse with composting toilet and access to shared shower and shared firepit.

1 night at Coffee Creek Community & Gardens

We had a lovely time at Mokey’s adorable treehouse cabin. There’s nothing like waking up in the forest. The animals were pretty loud in the morning (some ravens were loudly yelling lol) but we found it more entertaining than intrusive. Loved the cedar hot tub! Mokey was welcoming and responsive and made everything easy. The cabin is super cute and compact—we crammed in 4 people but would recommend keeping it to 2 or 3 for maximum comfort. The compost outhouse was the cleanest and least smelly I’ve ever used. We had a fun outing to Centralia with its historic charm, and enjoyed beautiful farm fresh eggs for breakfast at the cabin while looking out at treetops. Would definitely stay here again!

2 nights at The Plank and Pillow on Pirate Cove

Argh!! Absolutely loved staying at The Plank and Pillow! Fabulously themed pirate cabin right on the lake with all the water crafts needed to enjoy the surrounding area. The lake is huge with lots of fingers but quiet due to motor boats being limited to 5mph. The hubby caught 2 big fish off the pedal boat, the kayaks were used till we could paddle no more, and my 17 year old loves herself a paddleboard! Roasted hotdogs and s’mores at the fire pit. The evening lighting that kicked in on its own was very cool! My crew has stayed at many a lakeside cabin and this is our new favorite spot. We had such a good time, even with cloudy weather and using a portapotty. Exceptional location, exceptional hosts! We highly recommend and will definitely drop anchor again in the future
