Camper's choice of homemade cinnamon rolls or scones on the first morning, a 16x16' tent platform, Separette toilet, potable water, dock for fishing or foot dangling, warm-weather-(ambient)-heated water for rinse-off (sort-of showering) and a canoe to enjoy. A well-controlled, four-legged companion that can be trusted to not chase wildlife would also be welcome.

We ask that no fireworks or firearms be brought or used onsite. Because wildfire risk is almost always a concern. the fire pit, equipped with kindling and dry tinder (plus water to dowse) may not always be permissible.
We suggest campers come equipped with binoculars, mosquito repellent and this year particularly, please be tick-aware. Bear-spray may be brought along for added insurance, although we've never had to use our own.
An acceptance of risk/hold-harmless waiver of liability will be provided all campers & their guests upon booking, returned to host at time of visitation (or prior preferably). Host reserves authority to require photo I.D. if guest(s) first time campers; the information to be used for this singular exclusive purpose and destroyed/deleted.

There was originally a camper parked here with a roof over it while the main house was built back in th 1970s. When the home was finished the camper was moved out and it was turned into the cabin. It originally had a wood stove but it was always to hot so we replaced it with an electric heater and at the same time remodeled the interior. It is very comfortable for two to three people as it only has the bunk beds, microwave, small closet and dining table with 4 chairs including a rocker and a cabinet with pots, pans and silverware for your convenience.

Country cabin is on the treeline at the base of O'tool mt. across the street from Lk. Roosevelt. Includes bunk beds, frig, microwave, hot plate, coffee pot, toaster, dining table, small closet, firepit with firewood and horseshoe pits with shoes. One mile to boat launch. Ten miles to nearest loaf of bread. Close to logging roads. You will have aprox. one acre to yourself. Quiet and secluded. We are close by if ever there is anything you need.
Recently we were very close to the Crown Creek fire and a hotshot crew came and "prept" our property and cut down a lot of the underbrush therefore changing the landscape around the cabin so the main picture has changed to the current one.

There are three full time creeks that run though the property along with a few beaver made ponds and one large man made swimming pond.
The site boasts hundreds of campsites ranging from dry RV parking to small tents on rock ledges overlooking the lush valley.
Expect to see deer, elk, moose, turkey and a few other wild animals roaming the land around you. We have the space for event camping as well, we have a large covered gazebo for shaded group meals. Furthermore there is also a band stand for ceremonies and live music on select dates.
We’re only 12 miles from town but you get that feeling of being out of the rush of the outside world.

There are mountains, wetlands, meadows and forest land right in our back yard where we often see wildlife that call our area home. Elk, deer, turkeys, geese, ducks. rabbits, squirrels and the occasional cougar or bear. At any time, one critter or another will stroll through and check out our guests. We don't have a view of the river but it's nearby and our meadows and mountains offer a peaceful scene all its own. Camp surrounded by Old Growth Cedars and towering Grand Fir, stargaze by night, enjoy a campfire, smores and time with your family, Our peace includes little to no cellular service and don't offer internet or satellite tv. Feels like we're in the country but we live on a paved county road and only 4 miles from the city of Priest River.
Bring your boat for a trip on the Pend Oreille River to Lake Pend Oreille. Launching is a short distance away at the Mud Hole, Priest River City Beach or Riley Creek Campground. Try your hand at fishing for bass, kokanee, perch, northern pike, and trout in the river or on the lake. Wake up in a peaceful woodsy setting where elk, deer, the occasional moose and turkeys roam the property and are often seen in the meadow.
Load up your ATV, side by side or motorcycle and head for Priest Lake right from here. It’s a 21 mile (40 minute ride) to Coolin, ID. Enjoy the back county and take some of the IDL roads along the way to explore scenic drainages and in July/August pick some luscious huckleberries (the state fruit of Idaho) for a pancake or milkshake treat. In the fall, a nice central location for hunting camp. Want to go skiing or enjoy the summer lift ride? Head up to Schweitzer Mountain, about an hour drive away (38 miles/65 mins). The city of Sandpoint and Lake Pend Oreille (Idaho's largest lake) are a half hour away (26 miles/33 mins) and Silverwood Theme Park in Athol, ID less than an hour away (36 miles/52 min).

Trumpkinland Farm is part of what used to be an old dairy owned by one of the original settlers in this area. It is set in a rolling valley, surrounded by hills, mountains, and heavy forest. It is once again a dairy, with a name hearkening to Narnia, the books by C. S. Lewis. It is also, however, now a smallish family sized farm with many other species added to the mix. I raise a rare breed of dairy cow and several breeds of fiber sheep along with
heritage pigs. Geese wander freely, along with a few turkeys. If you enjoy animals, there are many kinds of them here and most are friendly!

First, about my farm name: My daughter had been reading The Chronicles of Narnia when we befriended and helped an orphaned little fawn, and she immediately named it Trumpkin, after one of the characters in Narnia. This is where her Trumpkin lived and grew up, and so this became Trumpkin's land AKA Trumpkinland Farm. Over the years a number of deer have come to trust us enough to get relatively close and eat with our animals. Come camp with your tent or self contained RV in our private woods or meadows and enjoy our wild and domestic friends, too, in the beautiful, magical inland northwest!
You can have total privacy, and yet be a short walk from the main farm and a short drive to local natural attractions. There are trails to explore in almost all directions. Some camping sites can be driven to, primarily in the upper meadow, depending on your vehicle. If choosing to be deeper in the woods, tent camping will work best in most spots, with a carry it in and park either in the meadow or down by the farm proper.
If you are tent camping, don't forget a good pad under your sleeping bag! The ground is hard, uneven, and in some places rocky!
As this property is also a farm, if you run short of food supplies, or want to buy some of what is produced right here on the farm, there are many options for that! From the gardens to wild fruit foraging, farms are all about food.
Farms, camping, and the woods are also about relaxing. In this cannabis friendly state, if you choose to really RELAX, please relax respectfully.
With fiber animals in residence, handcrafted socks, sheepskins and an assortment of hand spun gift items are available for purchase. Periodically classes are offered on old time crafts; let us know your interests when you book your time with us.

Iron Mountain Ranch features the owner's hand built straw bale house which is run off solar power, a friendly herd of horses along with a few cats and three dogs. (look up the ranch social media accounts online for additional pictures).
Since this hut is built with partially screened walls and partial solid walls, you should consider the season when requesting a booking. I will accept bookings starting but even in May the night time temps can be cold. Checking the local Northport, WA weather forecast can give you an idea of what weather we will be expecting. Please consider this luxurious tent camping as there is no heat source in the hut, no electricity or running water. Please bring lanterns, flashlights, headlamps etc.
The futon is a queen size and I can provide sheets and bedding but prefer you bring your own if possible
***There is a very limited supply of potable water on the property so you are required to pack in your drinking and cooking water. Washing and shower water is provided.***
In the early spring and late fall we cover the screened walls of the hut with clear window plastic so that the nights are not very cold inside the screen house. We provide a propane buddy heater that is safe for indoor use to help keep the space warm for you!! A hot water shower with equally impressive views is close to the straw house but still as private as you need it to be.
Once owned by the Lael family (whom the road is named after), this land supported lots of horses in it's past. The Lael family homsteaded this area, raising horses on their acerage and the original Lael house is still standing on the lower section of the property. Old and beautiful apple, plum, cherry and pear trees still thrive in the orchard they planted along with massive willow trees. I'm honored to continue the Lael's love for the equine with my own herd of horses.
Horseback riding is available upon request and for an additional fee of $75 per person for a ride.

The site was perfect, for our 2 day trip! Plenty of space for our vehicle, a trail, room for multiple tents, a fire pit, outhouse and a beautiful view! The hosts are absolutely wonderful and so communicative. Which I love! I would absolutely book again! Great plot for a break from reality!

What a great setup! All the campsites are well marked and easy to get to, even in the dark. It’s a great setup to bring multiple families who want to share a camping experience but have your own space for a person camp experience. Kara the camp host was very good at responding to communication and let my boys and I enjoy some peace and quiet together. The bathroom was cleans and well stocked. We had a blast and would love to come back again!

I had a peaceful and quiet time at this lovely property. I booked for the weekend and ended up being the only one there. Will was a great host and checked in on me daily. My dog and I had a wonderful time. We chilled in the morning, had a swim in the lovely pond, a nice walk and a nap then sat by the fire in the evening. Couldn't be better. Highly recommend and looking forward to going to one of the music festivals the owners hold there!!! Thank you so much.

This is our second year at Matt and Susan’s place and we plan to return next year again. We love this spot! My sons and I spent the weekend in solitude enjoying good food, board games, and the river! Susan’s fresh cinnamon rolls are the cherry on top of a wonderful experience. We enjoyed swimming and paddle boarding around from the private dock, playing games by lamplight, and watching the wildlife around us. Highly recommend! We’ll be back!

Brown Barrel has huge potential to become a really nice spot to get away for some quiet time. We wish we had known that we would be the only ones there as our spot was extremely dusty as it appeared to be more recently established and there was another spot that had gravel and would been a more pleasant spot to set up camp. Generally, the "camp ground" was pretty rough. The flush toilet was a major bonus even though we were fully prepared to dry camp. Our dogs appreciated being able to be off leash.

This was further out than we expected, but it was great. The pond looked a little murky but was actually very cool and with such hot temps we were thankful for it. Large space (field) to choose where you want to camp. Or dogs loved to run and we appreciated not needing to keep them leashed. But that because we were the only ones there. It would be different if there were more campers around.

Matt & Deb were some of the most friendly camp host we have ever had! They were great with communication and the camp site was wonderful, clean, quiet and fun. Camp ground is close to town, for stores, the river and lake. We even found great trails to use our RZR. We will for sure camp with them again in the future. 😚

My spouse and I had an amazing time camping at Susan and Matt's. They are extremely kind hearted hosts and have a breathtakingly beautiful property along the Pend Orielle River they take great stewardship of. The camp site is very spacious, private, and well accommoted with amenities. We camp a fair amount and this is the best we've ever stayed at. Very grateful for their wonderful hospitalty and for making our weekend very special!

What a way to escape reality for a bit! The land was beautiful and quiet. Directions were clear and concise! The Outhouses were clean and maintained well and bonus wood was provided, just be prepared to cut it (: we personally didn’t swim in the pond, but it was really well maintained. It would be an amazing spot for Early- Mid fall! We didn’t use them, but grills and were there if you bring propane. Overall a beautiful experience, would be fun to do a big family group trip or retreat here!

Fantastic spot for tent camping! Our site was a beautiful little glen, surrounded by trees, with a babbling brook running at the edge. The ground is flat and mostly level, so it worked well for our 10 person tent. Because of Red Flag conditions, we didn't get to use it, but Warner had a fire pit and wood already at the site. There was a large cable spindle that functioned as a good size table. The site has a little trail that leads back into the woods for a relaxing hike if you want. Warner provides an indoor bathroom and potable water from an artesian well, just yards from the "entrance" to our site. There was even a super friendly cat that would stroll through to say 'Hi' once in awhile. It was a fantastically beautiful and relaxing place to spend a long weekend.

Shaped by behemoth glaciers that carved out the land over 10,000 years ago, Colville National Forest is a gorgeous treasure spanning 1.1 million acres (props to President Theodore Roosevelt for saving it). The lands include a number of geographic features including the Kettle River, upper reach of the Columbia River and the Selkirk mountain range, which is considered to be at the foothills of the Rockies.
Residents (including several Native American tribes) and visitors enjoy camping, nearly 500 miles of hiking trails, mountain biking, lakes, rivers and some too legit to quit wildlife including grizzly bears, cougars, bald eagles and the last remaining herd of caribou in the US. That was almost starting to sound like an indie music festival lineup! Did we mention it’s an inspiring place? So much so that close to a million smackeroos was recently rewarded for continued restoration projects.

Great place to Camp lots of pretty little waterfalls cool rocks everywhere the trails are really pretty I guess there's Bears around sometimes I've never seen a bear up there but I'm sure they're around

i wouldnt recommend this campsite to ANYONE. There might not be a site available when i show up if i do! the place is fantastic lol. My favorite place to camp hands down.. and if you're into morels, you can find them all over in may and early june

I am 63 years old and fondly remember our trips to Browns Lake with our grandparents. I returned to the lake a few years ago and it is similar to what it was in the 1950's. Lots of space between sites and beautiful scenery. I haven't fished the lake since long ago and hope it still holds the type of trout we used to catch. It is a fly fishing lake only. There is a fee to camp and a daily boat launching fee so be prepared for that. I think the fee to camp is 14.00 per night but don't quote me on that. If you want some quiet and beautiful camping head to Browns. As kids we used to say "if this is Browns Lake, where is Mr. Brown?" Still a mystery to me.
