My husband and I are world travelers who enjoy meeting people and share stories. We have two sites where people can tent camp, both with firepits. We have a spot for your car/camper/RV. We do have two farm dogs and a cat, so if we approve your animals, please keep them on the leash at all times! We are currently working on building an outdoor flushing toilet and shower for our campers! We have four kayaks that are available upon request if you want to explore the last bit of the Sapelo River. There is alot to check out in this neck of the woods, but also several areas just to chill in nature on our property. We are about 15 minutes from the second oldest planned town in Georgia (Darien), and 45 minutes from Savannah.

Shhh! We're going to let you in on one of Georgia's best-kept secrets. You'll need to take a ferry to get to this pristine island. Once you're on the island you'll have over 50 miles of trails and roads to explore.

Catch fish along 18 miles of undeveloped shoreline. Hike through maritime forests and beautiful beaches. Hunt for seashells or take a dip in the ocean. You won't see many humans, but you might get a glimpse of an endangered manatee or sea turtle. Visitors may also encounter wild turkeys, armadillos, wild horses, dolphins, and lizards.

As you would expect, there are no stores here, so come prepared with plenty of water and food. Camping is allowed on the island, but most spots fill up fast. Hipcamp has plenty of nearby camping options, from primitive to full on glampgrounds.

If you'd like a tour, the Lands and Legacies tour is a great way to explore the island. The motorized tour visits cultural and natural landmarks on the island. You'll see the remains of a plantation, a cemetery, Plum Orchard Mansion, and Cumberland Wharf.
