We offer a Weber grill and large fire pit and outdoor picnic table with umbrella. You can either sleep in the barn, down in the clean stalls, or up in the barn loft. Bring supplies as if you are camping ie bedding, hammock, tent, sleeping pad or inflatable mattress. There is a long wooden table up in the barn loft that seats 14. There are games up there too, (dominos, cards, trivial pursuit etc). You may also camp outside under the starry skies. No loud music. Noise off by 10.30pm please We provide a VERY clean porta potty and the barn has electricity and running (cold) water. Bring a solar portable shower should you need.

This property has been in my family for three generations. It is classic Connecticut with hills and streams and stone walls. The octagon is a private 122 ft.² that is electrified and heated. It has a full size bed, cabinet and table with chairs. It sits next to a brook on 56 acres of forest with a pond, small waterfall, marsh and 2 1/2 miles of hiking trails. There is a fire pit and outdoor dining area next to the octagon. We also have a propane outdoor grill and propane two burner camp stove. Out house with composting toilet close to octagon is heated. A great place to rejuvenate in the forest! Dogs welcome.

Follow us on Instagram @shitefootfarms As always we are excited and can't wait to share our place with you! We are a small farmette with goats, chickens, ducks, fruits, veggies, and Irish Wolfhounds. The 1.3 acre parcel across the street from the house and farm has a forested peninsula that the A-frame is located on. Our street ends in a small stream that continues to separate the farmstead from the A-frame site. Come stay in our tiny rustic A frame cabin built of mostly reclaimed materials. Enjoy being across the stream and over the bridge from the main house on a private peninsula. Enjoy the privacy of a "single site" camp! Use the fire pit, grill, outdoor wood stove, single burner butane stove or umm the bathroom :) without having to leave your site! Please be aware we are in town and you may hear road noise, lawn mowers, dogs, ect. You may also see and hear wildlife ex; deer, beavers, ducks, muskrats, rabbits, geese, foxes, and coyotes. We encourage native plants and work to provide a sanctuary for many threatened bird species. The cabin is 100sq. feet with sloping interior walls the flip up side wall is permanently open and screened in. There is no running water or electricity so unplug and unwind. A place to plug in and the water spigot a short stroll from your cabin in the driveway The cabin has a a full size mattress with sheets, blankets, throws and pillows. Lanterns, cooking utensils, camp mugs and camp coffee pot are provided. Please request the cast iron skillet and butane burner, it will not be in the cabin if you do not ask for it. You are also welcome to set up your own tent. Please note cleared space is limited and the tent should be a 1-3 person smaller tent. Outside on the deck are tiki torches, woodstove and bistro table. There is a hammock, picnic table, and 2 sets of outdoor chairs at your site. We do not have a swimming hole but the town beach is 5 minutes away and requires a day pass. If you forget something you are a short walk to Cumbies, and several farms, bakeries and a large grocer are a very short drive away. Venture farther (10 minutes) to one of the nearby hiking trails. We are within 15 minutes of the Blackstone Gorge, Southern New England Trunkline Trail, Cornier Woods, Franklin State Forest, Wojcik Farm, Cook's Valley Farm, the New England Bonsai Museum, Diamond Hill Vineyards, Caroline's Cannabis, Shire Conservation Area, New England Country Club, and many stables. The Commuter Rail to Boston, Wrentham Premium Outlets, and a Drive-in Theater are within 30 minutes. Use us as a base to explore Blackstone Valley, Boston and Worcester!! Our 2 acre property and house is located in the center of the small town of Leverett. We have two sites, a private camping spot located down by the stream, and a yurt at the edge of the yard. We are near a paved road with moderate traffic. The property abuts many acres of woods and there are a number of great walking trails nearby. A half-mile walk behind the house takes you through the forest to an outlook on Leverett Pond. The Peace Pagoda is just a few miles up the road. Other nearby destinations include Cushman Market and Cafe, the Montague Bookmill, and Mt. Toby waterfall, caves, and lookout tower. Leverett Pond has a public boat launch nearby. We have canoes, paddles, and lifejackets available for rent--inquire for details! The area has excellent bike riding as well. Me, my fiancé and our dogs absolutely loved this place! Nancy and Bert were the best hosts! You could tell they truly love doing this and thought of every little detail you would need while being there! The property was perfect for the dogs to explore while we sat by the fire and relaxed, and they have such a nice trail to explore on, even a cute little fairy garden on it! We already can’t wait to come back!

Weekend Trip to Hilltop Tree Farm by Sakonnet River

We enjoyed our stay at Hilltop Tree Farm! The hammock, fire pit, and picnic table were great to have available. The tent itself and the bed were comfortable for our 2 night stay. The location is great, right near hiking trails and a local beach. We got to see a beekeeping demonstration from Blake which was a nice way to end our stay. Blake was friendly and communicative, making sure we had everything we would need.

🤩 Wow! Next time I’d like to explore these trails because it’s going to take a couple days. The property is huge. If you’re having guest not from the East Coast, I’d come here to have them visit to get the true taste of New England here.

Weekend Trip to Two Herons Farm

My family had a WONDERFUL stay at Two Herons Farm! Our baby daughter was delighted to interact with the sheep, goats, ponies, cows, chickens, guinea pigs, dogs, cat, and more!!! The farm was a great store with cool, local gifts. The cabin was really comfortable and private. The hosts, Molly and Diego, were incredibly generous and helpful. We were fortunate to tag along with Diego while he feed various animals, felt like a cool behind-the-scenes tour. We've stayed in dozens of Airbnbs/Hipcamps over the years, and this was by far our favorite. Highly recommend!!!

1 night at Glamping with the Wild Horses

Mackenzie and the rest of the volunteers and staff we met were super friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the Terrasphere and it was a really unique experience. The site was really well appointed with lights and electricity and a grill and all the other amenities that we need for the stay which made it really easy for us to set up camp and everybody had a great time. The horses are really beautiful, and the grounds are really beautiful. Would definitely recommend for a family or for a group event.

2 nights at Glamping with the Wild Horses

We loved Wild Ride and MacKenzie was a wonderful host. She was very accommodating and welcoming and we loved learning about the gentling process there, being able to observe her teen gentling class and participate in afternoon feed bags. We did the VIP tour and loved it. The domes are pretty close to each other but we were the only ones there at the time so can't comment on how it would be with others next door. They were comfy and nicely decorated with chargers. It was very cool to wake up to find the herd right near the campsites feeding and observe them. I don't think I would stay again during the winter - or at least would do it differently. The dome was nice and warm with the woodburning stove going but the stove in there was so small we had to feed it every 2 hours so didn't get much sleep. But when MacKenzie heard that she offered to switch us into another dome with a larger woodburning stove and seemed inclined to upgrade the size of that stove in the future for winter camping. There is no running water in the winter season which makes cooking challenging. There is just a cooler there as a hand-washing station but no way to even get water to have a safety bucket by the fire. We would come back readily in the summer but if we were going to camp in the winter we would instead just plan on going out for meals as cooking with the winter setup was hard. Overall a great stay, a unique experience and a great mother-daughter bonding trip! Thanks so much MacKenzie.

I definitely recommend the dome! The hospitality was excellent. We had our son with us, and they were wonderful with him—they even let him feed the horses, which he loved. The hiking was beautiful, and one of the best parts was how close the horses were to the dome—you can literally see them right nearby. The only thing we were a little disappointed about was that the dome wasn’t lit up at night like the photo on the page shows. We were really looking forward to seeing it all colorful and glowing. Overall, it was a great experience and we truly enjoyed our stay.

We had a great time at Hilltop Tree Farm! Blake made sure we had everything we needed, and we had a fun exploring the camping area and the surrounding town. Seeing the bees was a huge plus, and we would love to stay again when we're in the area!

Weekend Trip to Winimusett Brook Farm Retreat

Misty's gem of a cabin is quietly secluded on a hill within a beautiful farm estate with plenty of walking trails. The roughly 18x12' cabin uses solar lights with battery backup and the battery still has juice after 2 full days of heavy use in the cloudy / rainy weather. The battery supplies both standard wall outlets and phone charger ports, although I'd recommend using it primarily for just lighting and portable electronics (electric tea kettles etc will drain it significantly faster.) Potable water is provided with an electric tap along with cookware and an adorable retro propane oven + cook top. The wood stove is large and keeps the place warm on a few bundles of wood. I prestocked it before bed and didn't have to feed it at all during the night, a first in all my tiny cabin stays! It was overcast and a bit chilly outside during my stay (40F) but you wouldn't know that from inside after a few minutes with the fire going. Misty was very responsive on my arrival as the cabin isn't 100% visible from the parking area, but I found it no problem (I recommend arriving with some daylight though if you can.) A pull cart is provided but the hill is a bit steep if you're towing luggage but it's very manageable for able-bodied folk. Just take 2 trips instead of overfilling it to prevent tipping if needed. My dog and I found the stay very relaxing. I fell asleep on the comfy couch with my pup reading a book in front of the fire for both nights of our stay. 10/10

Weekend Trip to Water Forest Retreat

We adore everything about the little paradise that Nancy and Bert have built so lovingly over the years. It's an absolute respite that feels like it's in a faraway land, but within ten minutes of absolutely everything. We've stayed at the treehouse and at Hiker's Haven't, and they're equally magical. We can't say enough about the whole experience, and we'll continue to go back as often as we possibly can.

Knowlton Brook Campsite

Nice campsite. Easy walk from the road, couple of narrow wooden bridges to cross the brook. We rode bikes to this site. A little maneuvering to get the bikes through the trees and across but manageable. Nice location, 2 to 3 flat areas for tents along the brook. You can hear the busy road but eventually the sound of the brook drowns it out. Plenty of fallen branches around the area for fire.
