Weekend Trip to The Mojo River Spot in the redwoods

This place is magical. I loved the mix of sunand trees on the property in addition to the access to the river. Joelle is an amazing host and very responsive. I look forward to returning soon. The fellow campers we delightful.

We had such a wonderful stay at Bluff 10! The site was peaceful and perfectly set up for a relaxing getaway. We loved listening to the waves, sitting on the deck watching the sunset, and playing at the beach access. The bathroom facilities are located directly behind the Bluff 10 campsite. While there was occasional foot traffic, other campers were very respectful and noise was minimal. Just be prepared for the bright light that turns on when someone enters the women’s restroom at night. We also had a couple of nighttime visits from a very bold (but manageable) raccoon—just be mindful to secure your food, trash, and recycling! Brenda, the host, was helpful and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a few nights of ocean therapy. We will definitely be visits again in the future.

Truly the best campsite ever! To be so close to the ocean was unbelievable. Small site but totally worked for us. So happy the landowners share their wonderful property with all of us. We will definitely be back!! Only disappointment was the portable toilet. It was dirty and needed to be emptied.

We had a great 2 night here. Brenda was inviting and helpful. The showers were hot, just what we needed after biking all day. Spots are small but manageable. The walk down to the beach was easy and the views outside the tent were the best. The sound of the ocean made for the best nap. Even though close to the road you did not hear much.

Cannot express how much we enjoyed our stay . You are right off the highway yes but the view and sound of ocean quickly wash that from your mind. Brenda is a great host friendly and directed to us to the small beauties around her place. We will be back . Showers were nice and hot, the beach was very peaceful, and our dogs had no issue with the traffic or noise.

2 nights at Timber Cove Campground

Bluff 10: the site is very beginner friendly. Bluff10 has a water faucet, patio deck with picnic table, fire pit, and close to the bathroom(don’t worry it doesn’t smell). It contains a great view of the ocean, cliff side, the fog rolling in, and my favorite part is the clear sky full of stars at night. Regular functioning toilet and sink available and showers are $2 for 4 minutes(payment in quarters only). You can exchange for quarters with the host. I recommend exchanging enough quarters for your whole stay since you don’t know when the host will be available. The light to the shower room is broken in the women’s side so bring a flashlight if showering at night. The site floor is made of compact dirt and wood chips, I recommend clearing out the wood chips before you set up your tent so it makes for a smoother surface when you sleep. At night you may be payed a visit by some neighboring raccoons but they are harmless, just keep your food stored safely. The racoon only appeared the first night, probably just curious. This site is right by the cliff so if you have a fear of heights, this is not the site for you. If you are sensitive to noise, bring earplugs when sleeping, the waves are a bit loud at night. Overall this is a great site, beginner friendly, hike within walking distant, and also another hike one mile north from the campsite.

The river access at Joelle's place was excellent with private beach spaces and swimming holes. The campsite was spacious and had lovely big trees as well as a large open grassy spot. Floating on the river was tranquil and perfect.

We stayed for 2 nights and it was amazing. Very relaxed and calming experience. I appreciate that there were only 4 sites and is not crowded. I enjoyed the view and the coziness of the place. Perfect getaway from my busy schedule. Enjoyed quality time with my family. I suggested this place to my friends and they are highly considering checking this location out.

2 nights at Dreamy California Coast Airstreams

Absolutely stunning view! The airstream was clean, with nice furnishings and we had everything we needed. We enjoyed making pizza and grilling steak then enjoying the view by the firepit. There was one night when guests from the other campsite were playing music loudly, other than that we had a great time. My husband recommended to give the bushes around the fence a trim as it blocks the view. The hosts were responsive, helpful and gave clear instructions. We plan on coming back with a crew to rent out the other campsites!

1 night at Slide Ranch Campsites

A great place to stop for the outdoor enthusiast who needs a stopover for one night. Someone on bicycle tour or on a road trip. You have to check out before 9am because of their programs so it's not a place to set up and stay. Epically beautiful view, you are camping and overlooking the ocean. There aren't other places in this area to camp and be so close to the ocean. It's worth the money and you get to support a great organization, very quiet and peaceful. Not a place for drinking or parties. It's a hike in! Pack light and you need to be able to hike a narrow trail to get there.

Beautiful spot. We tent camped in the meadow, really enjoyed the redwood grove for our tent location. Great proximity to Bodega Bay. The owners are very accommodating, we enjoyed fresh duck eggs, and ground beef from the mercantile, and and we really enjoyed the walk on the property in the trees. Will definitely come back!

Camped here for one night on a long road trip and really loved it. The location is pretty easy to find even though we came in at sunset. The space is large and would be super fun with a small group. It was just me and my partner so we chilled and cooked dinner. The provided table was large and made it easy to cook outside under the stars.

Second year in a row!! If you’re debating on whether or not to camp here, definitely do it. It’s such a magical experience!

Absolutely loved this campsite!! We had site 9, which is one of the more private ones. There is a spot across the road and down below that site where another group could be and see our area, but no one was there so it was definitely quiet. But even so, the other site across from it is far enough away. The description said there is a possibility of the rare passing of vehicles because it is a working cattle ranch, but we didn’t see a single car pass in the three days. Such a beautiful densely forested area and soooo many birdsongs in the morning. Very clean, the provided outhouses near certain sites have outdoor sinks next to them and are very well maintained. I will be back here to camp again FOR SURE. Thank you Daniel for a gem of a camping spot!

Our family of four + dog stayed in site #4 and really enjoyed it. We camped Sunday-Tuesday so it was really low key. This site was really private; we barely saw anyone else. Bathrooms were port-a-potties but were clean and had a handwashing pump station outside. Easy to get self-service wood for $15/bundle. The campground is tucked away a bit so it feels pretty remote if that's what you're looking for. We drove the 15-20 minutes or so to Doran Beach and hung out for the afternoon one day. We also took the kids fishing at nearby Hagemann Ranch. I could see us coming back and bringing another family. There were a few cool sites that were close to each other that I thought would make fun group sites where you could have two campsites and an entire field to yourself. Altogether we had a good time.

Finley Camp

Finley Camp is nestled along Finley Creek in West Sonoma County. Campsites are located in open flats surrounded by Coast Doug Fir, Alder, and California Bay forests. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire pit with cooking grate, and access to a porta potty and hand washing station. The campsites are located past the end of the county road allowing for a quiet peaceful experience. Enjoy a quiet stroll on site, the surrounding communities of Bodega, Bodega Bay, Valley Ford, and Tomales, or just enjoy a quiet day in camp. Our sites are located approximately 20 minutes from Bodega Bay. The campsites are 2.5 miles from the coast and the weather can be unpredictable. As a general rule, it is very similar to that of San Francisco. All camp sites are situated in a valley that offers protection from the coastal winds. The have both morning and evening shade. Sites #2, #6, #7, and #11 have the most space, while sites #4, #7, #8, #9 and #11 offer the most privacy. Sites 1-3, any combination of 5-7, and 12-13 are well suited for groups. Other site groupings work well depending on the number of sites being reserved. Site #8 is unique in that it has a wood deck/platform for tents. There are also NO wood fires allowed at site #8 as it is under the tree canopy. A propane firepit is provided for your use. You can bring a 5 gallon propane tank from home, or a full one is available for rent on site. We have beef available for purchase from calves raised exclusively on our ranch. This beef is 100% grass fed and finished and never given grain of any kind. We have various cuts available such as steaks, ground, roasts, ribs, or other various specialty cuts. All beef is cut and wrapped by a USDA certified butcher. It is raised in an organic manner from cows that freely roam on the pastures of the coastal hills we call home. For further information or for a price sheet, please inquire with the camp host. Well behaved dogs are welcome at Finley Camp. All dogs must be kept on leash at all times while on the property. There are no exceptions to this. Finley Camp is located on an active cattle ranch and directly adjacent to a neighboring ranch with cattle. Also be sure to check out our orchard tours. The apples ripen from Late July thru late November. We'll take you to our family orchard where you can pick apples, pears, or blueberries in season and taste yummy treats out of our family garden.

Blackberry Farm sits on the western side of Mount Tamalpais, tucked in the Gospel Flat area of Bolinas. The family farm and residence were established during the late 1970s on the site of the historic Peter’s Dairy Ranch. The original farmhouse dates back to the late 19th century and survived the great 1906 earthquake. Today, the 7-acre farm is being restored to sustainably support fruit orchards, cottage flower and kitchen gardens, honey bees, a boisterous flock of chickens, and naughty shetland sheep. Our self-serve farmstand attached to our barn has seasonal flowers, organic eggs, heirloom fruit, and local goods from the farm. Our property is the perfect rustic getaway for backpackers and outdoor enthusiasts. You’ll be surrounded by farm/ranch life: chickens clucking, roosters crowing, bees buzzing, and sheep bleating. We also have active nighttime wildlife: coyotes howling, raccoons foraging, owls hooting, etc. Bring earplugs if nature sounds are too much for you. We offer 4 walk-in tent sites that allow you to immerse yourself in nature. We welcome well-behaved pets ON LEASH that won’t harass the chickens, cats, sheep, other campers, or residents. Unruly pets and their campers will be asked to leave. No refund. Limit: 1 dog per site. Pitch your tent in a meadow shared by: Campsite 1 - left side of the meadow, closest to the common area and hot tub. Campsite 2 - middle of the meadow, closest to our fenced apiary and bee garden. Campsite 3 - right side of the meadow, near the orchard. (sites 1 and 3 are next to each other) Campsite 4 - front of the pasture, closest to the parking area (best for car/van campers wanting space to lounge near their parked vehicle.) Multiple sites may be booked for group camping. Sites 1 and 3 are next to each other under the Cypress Trees. Add site 2 if you would like the entire back half of the campground. Add site 4 if you'd like to have a maximum number of 16 total campers and 2 tents/per site. The common area has an outdoor shower, hot tub, covered bbq/cook area, tented (weather-protected) hangout space, and a place to stash your surfboard. The pizza oven is not available for campground use. Redwood Grove hangout areas have seating and tree swings. Please pack out your trash. We offer a recycling bin for glass bottles, cans, and clean paper. Parking is 100 yds or less from the campsites. We have a large wheelbarrow to help you cart your camping gear across the pasture to your campsite. No driving onto or parking in the meadow. Due to the narrow driveway and parking area (lack of turnaround), the site cannot accommodate RVs, trailers, or vehicles beyond 16ft in length, 7ft in width, or 10 ft in height. 1 car per campsite, please. 15-minute walk to the beach and downtown.

Timber Cove Campground

Located right off coastal US highway 1, Timber Cove campground sits right at the edge of breathtaking, oceanside cliffs. We are situated on roughly two acres of land, with multiple campsites for tent/car camping or RV’s. Each bluff campsite has a picnic table, fire pit and water. Electricity is available to use for an extra fee. The beach and waterfall campsites do not have picnic tables so you might want to bring one if you’ve booked there. We have separate men’s and women’s flush bathrooms, with coin-operated hot showers. We have firewood with kindling for sale on site, payable with cash or Venmo. Please take note of local fire bans, when in effect. Dog friendly, though be advised a leash is recommended as we are close to the road, but they can run leash-free down at the beach. We are located 30 minutes north of the town of Jenner, with Gualala 30 minutes to the north. Gualala has grocery stores, a post office, and some shops. Fort Ross Store is located one mile down the road, just before Timber Cove, and sells basic food necessities, drinks, sandwiches, ice and gas. Internet cell service can be spotty in our area, depending on your provider, so bring your own Starlink services if you have them. We also have access to the beach below, and offer beach camping as well. Take note that the road down to the beach is steep with uneven terrain. The weather can vary quickly here, so be sure to bring multiple layers of clothing and camp gear for various types of weather, and headlamps are useful for getting around the property at night! We hope you’ll come visit our little slice of heaven on the ocean cliffs, gaze at the stars, marvel at the sunsets, watch the harbor seals dozing on their rocks and the many bird species that inhabit our property. Fab Future Forest

This beautiful primary forest and nature reserve is located on the west slopes of Dry Creek Valley, with spectacular views overlooking vineyards and rolling hills. Come and enjoy a low-impact elevated camping experience, peaceful hikes, and nearby wineries (some within walking distance). You will be in a peaceful forest paradise, while still enjoying the convenience of 60 wineries less than 12 minutes away, Healdsburg Plaza and Lake Sonoma only 15 minutes away, and Russian River adventures, Santa Rosa movie theaters, and scores of restaurants within a 10 to 25-minute drive. The forest is on the natural frontier between coastal rainforest and inland forest. You will see redwood fairy rings and fallen redwoods indicating that rainforest covered the property centuries ago. Inland forest crept in at least 150 years ago when some of the magnificent, moss-covered oaks first sprouted. The biggest rainforest foothold is a grove of old-growth Douglas Firs in the northwest corner of the forest. In this same forest-healing spirit, paths to the campsites follow deer trails and fallen redwoods to minimize the impact on vegetation and underground mycelium networks. In managing the forest, we only cut invasive trees or native trees that have died. The result is that you get the increasingly rare experience of a forest that has never been logged and where dead trees were left to feed hundreds of species of fungi. We are so happy to be able to share the sights and sounds and smells of this magnificent forest with you. Slide Ranch Campsites

Slide Ranch is a nonprofit organization established in 1970, becoming one of the first Park Partners in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The tent-only campsite area is 1/4 mile hike (about 10 minutes, mostly-flat) from the parking lot and is not accessible by vehicle. Campers must park in the visitor parking lot and hike into the campsite area. We provide a limited number of wheelbarrows to help transport your personal items to the area. Campers are not permitted to sleep in their cars, vans, or campers in the parking lot. Minors aged 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult; no drop offs or pick ups permitted. No pets allowed; service animals are permitted. We do not have showering facilities or flush toilets. A composting toilet is at the campsite and Porta-potties are available around the property. Soap is provided for hand washing. Water in all Slide Ranch taps is potable for refilling water bottles/jugs. There is no running water at the campsite but there will be a limited number containers of water for use in hand washing, dish washing, and limited for drinking. Slide Ranch does not have any concessions on site. Please plan to bring any snacks or picnic items you’d like to enjoy while enjoying the ranch. Per GGNRA regulations, campfires and open flames of any kind are not allowed outdoors at the campsite. Portable camp stoves and BBQs are strictly prohibited. Cooking is only allowed on the provided propane stove located inside the Dome. Please bring whatever items you need to prepare and enjoy your meals. Slide Ranch is located on the Marin coast, on land that has a rich history in connecting people to food. The Coast Miwok once fished and foraged for food at this site, and in the late 19th century Portuguese dairy farmers purchased the land and produced milk and butter for residents of San Francisco. In 1969, 134 acres of this fertile coastline were rescued from commercial development and purchased by the Nature Conservancy. Slide Ranch offers camping to fund summer camp scholarships and other programs throughout the year.

The Meadow Grove of Hands Full Farm

The Meadow Grove campsites are located near the historic Narrow Gauge Railroad bed on a family owned working ranch in coastal Northern California. The camp sites are nestled in a pasture and grove of mixed Eucalyptus, willow and cypress trees. The sites are perfect for tents or camper vans, or small trailers. [When we open in the spring, the grass can be 'slippery' and it is recommended you have 4WD. Around mid-June it is dried out enough for 2WD access to all sites] there are no hook-ups for RVs . Specifics about these campsites are: They each come with a picnic table. The grounds are a working ranch, so there is variations of the soil- some lumps and bumps and general natural state of a pasture v. a groomed lawn. Site #1, #2, #3, and #4 have the most level areas for parking and tent-ing. Up until mid-June, we recommend #1 for 2WD access. Campervans that do not have 4WD may have trouble accessing other sites. Please remember this when you book! *Campers who "change sites" without written approval by the host will be charged double!* There is a composting camp toilet, we do not have running water at the campground. The ranch itself is 300 acres of rolling hills pasture, with hilltop views of the Estero Americano valley. The Meadow Grove is home to many varieties of raptors and other birds-providing excellent bird watching. Seasonally there are blackberries to fill your containers, and some hiking. We are mere minutes from the quaint towns of Valley Ford, Tomales, and Dillon Beach, and a short drive from Bodega, Bodega Bay or Marshall, Pt. Reyes Station and Inverness. Nearby attractions include: Sonoma Coast beaches, Pt. Reyes National Seashore, coastal hiking trails, local farm-to-table eateries. Inland attractions include: redwoods, wine tasting, Russian River activities and so much more. The ranch borders Hwy 1, so there is some degree of road noise. Traffic usually dies down mid afternoon, and isn't too much of a disturbance. Virtually all traffic on our stretch of road is daytime traffic. There can be however, some heavy weekend traffic during the day with car clubs and motorcycle riders enjoying the coastal highway. *The Friendly Gray Cat's name is Boots!*

Salmon Creek Ranch

Located within 45 minutes of the wine country and 2 miles from the coast, our property is 400 acres of rolling hills and redwood groves, with a creek running along its base. With miles of trails meandering through quiet woods and meadows, you will be able to revel in the tranquility of a private preserve, without sacrificing easy access to some of Sonoma County's most famous attractions. A hundred years ago, this land was used to graze sheep. Remnants of the old fence lines can still be seen in places, along with old cement troughs. Since then, the land has been left to its own devices, passing through many hands, most famously owned by two brothers in the 1980's who built a truly amazing tree house in the forest which has been featured in several magazine articles. It was revamped and updated in 2016 by a master craftsman, using fallen redwood logs found on the property and is now a unique structural work of art, available for overnight stays. We produce 100% grass fed, dry-aged beef on our certified organic pastures and have a store on site if you would like to purchase delicious steaks, ribs, ground beef for hamburgers or some roasts to take home. Our cattle graze on the native grasses, never grain, and drink only water produced from our own springs. We also raise Kiko meat goats and produce pastured, certified organic duck eggs on a commercial basis. Whether it's surfing at sandy beaches, award-winning clam chowder, a wine tour, horseback riding or a hot air balloon ride you're after, you won't have far to drive if you make our ranch your base camp. You may see a family of deer appear suddenly, or a few Scottish Highland cows which we allow to roam freely over the property. There are over twenty species of wild birds that grace this protected spot, so bring your binoculars! A portion of your fee goes towards protecting native flora and fauna as part of our private wildlife preservation program. A limited number of private, widely spaced camp spots are available for visitors. The Eagles' Nest Treehouse (mentioned above) is very isolated and you may or may not even be aware that there are other people within miles of you. For those who value nature, seclusion, quiet and the artistry of old growth redwood, this is the place for you.

Camp with sweeping views of beautiful pastureland in West Marin. Enjoy privacy, birds singing, cows, chickens, food from the farm, and hiking our gorgeous land that is on the Estero San Antonio. The campsites are spaced far apart from one another to ensure some privacy. It is very quiet out here at night. If there are other campers you might hear them in the distance. All campsite are located overlooking the Estero and close to the grass road to enter and exit the property. You will have access to some of our pastures for picnics and leisurely walks. When you check in we will give you directions to a few special places around the surrounding area and see if you would like some grassland finished beef, lamb, pork, eggs, or vegetables all grown or made on our ranch. We offer other care packages, ask us when you arrive (include, home made focaccia, sourdough bread, local cheeses, etc...) A liability waiver will be needed to be signed. This is primitive camping, There is water but it is not potable. so bring your own drinking water. It can get very windy out here in Spring and Summer. Come prepared. We have situated the campsites to be on the leeward side and as protected as possible. We try to leave the land better off than we found it and hope that you will share the same respect for the pristine beauty of this place. We are 10 minutes away from the quaint town of Tomale and 15 minutes from the town of Valley Ford. Dillon Beach is only 3.5 miles away. About

Take a shady stroll protected by nature's tallest trees. Majestic redwoods watch over you as you traverse the Pioneer Tree Trail. This loop trail descends into a small canyon after going through an old-growth forest. Just think of the history these trees lived through over the centuries. The 5.8-mile loop trail to Barnabe Peak has some steep climbs. The magnificent views are totally worth it.

The Cross Marin Trail bike path is both a dog-friendly jaunt and a partly paved area. Follow the path as it curves along Lagunitas Creek for 3 miles. Due to the park location, you could keep walking for a *really* long time. This old railroad right-of-way eventually goes to Golden Gate park.

Sir Francis Drake Boulevard is the busy street in and out of the park. The road offers a scenic tour of a gorge before landing you near your campground entrance. Camp Taylor and Orchard Hills have group sites, cabins and 61 campsites in all. Reservations are recommended for this busy vacation spot.

I did provide a recommendation! Here! There are actually five cabins. The beds are wooden platforms. We brought "eggshell" foam pads, and thermarests on top of them. I would still have appreciated more padding - perhaps an air mattress? The cabins are fantastic. Super clean. Each one has a picnic table, fire pit and fresh water spout. Great hiking trail either up from the group camp site, or directly across the street, to the main park entrance. People often cancel, so call the park 2-3 days ahead and you may get lucky. There are four private bathrooms at the site, each with toilet and sink. In summer 2021, these were closed for drought (portajohns on site), but reopened in fall, thank goodness! Separate showers stil closed for drought.

FYI web site says: Samuel P. Taylor State Park will no longer be providing mattresses in the cabins starting September 2nd 2019. If you have any questions please call Samuel P. Taylor State Park at (415) 488-9897. I'd love to know what people bring to sleep on! Is a Therma-rest satisfactory or will I need something more? Description above needs updating!

Recommended! Backpacking friends booked this campground for the last week of September and invited us along. They picked well: #47 is one of the most private campsites in the park. Be aware that the person who makes the reservation must present ID at the gate before they will let anyone occupy the site. We drove in, and other than that frustrating hiccup, the weekend was wonderful. The site had two flat areas for our tents, and the amazing redwoods nearby provided a canopy that kept us dry sitting in our camp chairs during a rain shower. The restrooms are clean, the water spigots are convenient, it's a beautiful place.

This campground is right next to a road that is well traveled. Lots of road noise. Sites are very close together. No privacy at all. This campground is frequented by families with little camping experience so there are lots of loud kids riding playing with handheld video games or playing music loudly. There is no real sense of escape here. Dogs are not allowed on the trails. However, if you go to the park boundary, you can join plenty of regional trails that are dog friendly. This place is appropriate for non-outdoorsy types looking for a quick getaway.

We stayed at campsite 49 and it was beautiful! We have a 15 ft hitch trailer and the parking spot was very level and spacious for the trailer and our car. There were pretty trees surrounding the campsite and we had neighbors close by but just on one side. However, their car separated us so still felt secluded enough! I love camping here because it is so close to different activities! Barnabe Peak for hiking is my fave. It is also 15 minutes from Point Reyes!! It also has a beautiful biking trail connected to the campground and it goes pretty far :)

We stayed in campsite #51 on the Orchid Hill loop. It was pretty close to the restrooms, which was convenient! I'm pretty new to camping and I really enjoyed this campsite. Was nice to be tucked in between the trees, and we were far enough from the road so it was pretty quiet. Had fun exploring Point Reyes. Would definitely come back to this campsite.

Don't go unless you can get a mostly private spot. Most tent spots are not private and when we were there some lady walked her screaming baby around the park at 3:00 a.m. until the Rangers told her to get it together already.

I didn't have a reservation, but walked up on a Monday, so there were plenty of vacant sites. Couldn't check in till 2pm as a walk up. Stayed in site #54. Cozy little spot, with a clear view of the sky. There are other sites relatively close, but for the most part you feel secluded. You could for sure tetris 2 tents into the space. Ranger sells wood for $8 a bundle and there's a small store just down the road in case you forget anything. I paid $35 for the night. 2 separate run-ins with said Raccoons so hide yo kids hide yo wives!

We camped at site 59, which was close to a restroom and trash, which was a plus for us. This site was large enough for a camper van. Make sure to bring quarters for the shower facility! Showers and bathrooms were very clean. Sites are a little close together. I would avoid sites with low numbers, as they are close to the roadway and the sound could be distributing, especially at night.

Stayed at site 29. Good spot and nice amount of room. I was a little bummed that all the good trails around the campground are not dog friendly, but I would think the trail running would be awesome. I thought this campground was really beautiful but the park ranger was a little cranky and it felt a little over regulated. I would definitely return for an overnight camping trip (we live about 1.5 hours a way) but wouldn't be that into being there for multiple days. Oh and those raccoons are tenacious food hunters. The struggle is real.

While dogs are allowed, they are not permitted on any of the real hiking trails. We stayed at #17 - prob the worst site. It has a road on 3 sides so there was no privacy and constant foot/bicycle/traffic. The provided lockers & heavy-duty pic tables were great

Most of the campsites are shaded by the beautiful redwoods which is awesome, but it also can get a bit chilly. Make sure to bring extra layers.

Hit up Olema Farm House restaurant a few miles up the road for a taste of the good life plus a tasty beer. Cornmeal fried oysters. That's pretty much all you need in life other than grabbing a spot here!

Kinda pricey, just looked up Group Tent sites on park.ca.gov and it's $50/night. Worth it if you're camping with a few folks, not really feeling that for a solo trip!

Some sites can be a bit cozy, but this is mainly due to the fact that you’re camping among massive Redwood trees. Even Shaq would feel small!

Stayed at site 59, which was nicely tucked in the back of the park, though next to the restrooms which can be a plus or minus. It was a plus! Pretty quiet when we went, and explored a few trails connected to the campground which were rad. Site had plenty of space for glamping, enough so that we were able to setup and play Kubb. Would definitely go back, it was a easy retreat from the city for the weekend, and greatly shortens the drive to Bolinas if you want to get a few early bird surfing sessions in without driving from the city. The recipe for the best weekend can be found here, and looks a little like this: Surf > Camp > Repeat.
