For creekside campers (campsites named after mushrooms): 4WD/AWD required, pack-in-pack-out, and off-leash dog friendly 2. For vanlifers & digital nomads (spots are numbered): vans/vehicles only (2WD okay), on-leash dog friendly, with access to hilltop barn with communal kitchen, flush toilets + showers, coworking space + wifi, laundry, and gym/game area The creek section from Candy Cap to Turkey Tail and the hiking trails are accessible to all hipcampers. Creekside campers can also get access the barn with a Blue Barn pass ($15/person). You can add the Blue Barn Pass to your reservation or come check it out and add it during your stay. MORE ABOUT THE LAND: Located right off Hwy 26, directly in between the city of Portland and the peak of Mt. Hood, you'll find the most peaceful corner of the Pacific Northwest for you to pitch your tent or park your van. We are conveniently located just 6 minutes from downtown Sandy, known for its food trucks, outdoor gear shops, and the famous Joe's Donuts. Though we are right off a busy highway, we're in a valley so all you'll hear are the tranquil sounds of Cedar Creek's flowing waters and the chirping birds who live in the cedars overhead. The small clearings throughout the property provide natural privacy for our campers, while the barn provides amenities making it difficult to leave. We're so honored to share this magical place with as many people exploring the Pacific Northwest as we can. We hope your stay here will bring you a deep sense of peace, inspire creativity, give you whatever it is you're in need of at this moment in time. Take a dip in Cedar Creek, sit and read by one of the ponds, get your heart pumping on the hilly trails on the north side of the property, pick as many blackberries as you can find if in season. We can't wait to host you! NON-NEGOTIABLE RULES: PACK IN PACK OUT: We do not have trash or recycling bins down in the creekside campground so please keep your waste contained and take it with you when you leave. Please do not throw any trash in the porta-potties. 4WD/AWD REQUIRED PAST THE BARN: The steep gravel roads can be tough for some cars and rigs (particularly on the way out) and consequently, can cause a lot of damage to our roads. So for everyone's safety, we have restricted access to only vehicles with 4WD or AWD only. Please do not message us asking us to advise on the vehicle you have. If someone in your party has a 2WD vehicle, they can park up in the entry lot and get shuttled down to the campsites in a 4WD vehicle. If we see a 2WD vehicle in the campground, we will ask you to leave and if we have to dig you out, we will charge a $200 fee. Thank you for respecting our policies and helping us maintain our space. DOG FRIENDLY: We are as dog friendly as it gets here. Unleashed dogs are allowed on this property down by the creek (on-leash required in and around the barn). If you have a fear of dogs, or have dogs that are not friendly with other people or fellow dogs, this probably isn't the right campground for you. Of course, we expect all dog owners to keep an eye on their pets so they don't disturb other campers or ingest anything they're not supposed to. QUIET HOURS: 10pm-9am. We ask that guests keep the noise (loud music and loud conversations) to a minimum between 10pm and 9am. We live onsite and will enforce these if we have to (please don't make us). NO FIREARMS, FIREWORKS OR ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE USE. This is not a late night party campsite. This property is best enjoyed in the daylight and we encourage campers who want to take full advantage of the scenery, will abide by the quiet hours, and maintain a safe space for all. OTHER INFO: CELL SERVICE: There is an AT&T tower on our property so that gets the best service by far. Verizon is pretty good. T-mobile does not get reception here. There is high-speed internet up at the barn that is accessible with a Blue Barn Pass.

The Blue Barn @ Camp Cedar Creek sits on a hill above the creekside campground providing beautiful views of the forest, creek, ponds, and meadows below. There are 9 open parking spots situated around the barn for vehicle dwellers to stay and utilize the shared amenities inside the structure, including 2 bathrooms w/ showers, a large communal kitchen, a quiet co-working space with fast wifi, a rec area with gym mats and equipment, ping pong and darts, and laundry. SITE NO. 1 is our most private site and has the most room to spread out with a good amount of shade. It also has a flat grassy area in front so it's the only site that could also accommodate a tent. It is situated on back side of the barn and is the first spot you'll see as you're coming down the hill on the right. It is perched up on its own raised parking spot under trees with plenty of space to set up an awning and seating area. It has easy access to the barn being close to the back door, and shares the proximity to "the patio" area with Sites 2 and 3 which overlooks the creek and has with picnic table and propane fire pit. **This is the only vehicle site that can also accommodate a tent as it's next to a flat grassy area. This is why the capacity is set to 4 people. Please let us know if you're planning on setting up a tent.**

This is one of our largest campsites, and one of our least private. That being said, it's one of our most popular as you have prime creek access, a lot of sun, and are close to our largest pond with a beach. It's also close (just over the bridge) to the porta-potty during peak season (end of May through September). Great for: all camping types - tents can be on the grass and any camper vehicles can utilize the extra shaded parking area carved out along the creek near the fire ring

**BEST FOR GROUP CAMPING** One of our most popular sites due to its size, location, and privacy, the Chanterelle Campsite is perfect for a larger group to enjoy. There's space for tents and vehicles, has its own creek (and pond) access point, a giant climbing tree, and large fire pit. During the peak season, there is a porta-potty right outside of this campsite. PLEASE NOTE: while this site is more secluded, it still has neighboring campsites. If you're looking to have a large (late night) party, we request that you look into booking the entire campground to avoid disturbing other hipcampers.

Another great option for bigger groups! Fairy Ring and Candy Cap sites sit along the north side of creek, over the bridge and separated from the other eight campsites. Close proximity to the porta-potties, best entry point to the deepest part of the creek for swimming, and closest to the hiking trails, this is a prime location and a beautiful area to spread out however you'd like. We've had a lot of campers book these sites separately so they can be next to their friends and family so we decided to make it easier for you :)

PNW Perfection

Camp Cedar Creek was literally one of the nicest camp spots I've ever stayed at. It was the perfect combination of quiet, peaceful nature, and great amenities when you need them. I stayed at the Morel site for nearly two weeks and was very happy I picked up the Blue Barn Pass for access to clean showers and a communal kitchen spot -- 100% worth it!! Lauren & Jeremy are great caretakers of this space -- Definitely don't pass this one up! I know I'll be back as soon as I can!

Pleasant natural sites & sounds

Being next to the creek and among the variety of trees was a pleasant way to recharge. The grounds are well manicured and fun to explore. Various trees, nurse stumps, birds, newts, and the mushrooms were fun to find and look up. We were there on a fairly quiet weekend with only a couple other campers. Lauren & Jeremy were quick to respond when contacted and we appreciated all of the helpful info shared through texts. We look forward to returning.

This place is amazing! The hiking trails along the creek are full of life! We saw newts, snails, and so many kinds of Mushrooms!! It's truly a remarkable property! The barn games gave us a fun way to spend time during the rain and the kitchen was stocked perfectly for all our cooking needs. Thank you so much for sharing your property!

cute, cozy, and doggy friendly!

lauren and jeremy were incredibly kind and helpful—they’ve really done a fantastic job with the place! it was such a great experience. the entire campground is spacious and charming, and the blue barn was a great bonus for kitchen use, showers, and indoor activities (optional if you need/want). having fast wifi made it easy to work remotely, and the dog-friendly policy was a huge plus—our pup had the best time! reishi itself was ideal for our setup. we comfortably fit a snow peak vault and hexa tarp with plenty of space for hanging out and a campfire. the sound of the nearby stream was a great backdrop, and the portapotties were close enough for convenience without disrupting the peace. we could see other campers across the pond, and while it wasnt an issue, they were blasting music late into the night (bad taste, too). but that is more of a camper etiquette thing and not at all about the campground itself. if you want more privacy or to avoid noise like that, you might want to pick a more secluded site. 11/10 would camp here again, and i'm looking forward to trying out chanterelle and the other campsites in the future!

This campsite was perfect for us and our pups! Getting to the site was a breeze with the easy to follow directions. There was another camp group across the bridge but still far enough away that neither party was disturbed. I’ve never used such clean porta-potties! It was so great to be able to let our dogs roam off leash and explore. We didn’t use the blue barn this trip, but we will be returning!

We loved our stay at Lion’s Mane. It was spacious and had a nice shady area around the fire pit. As mentioned in the listing, the surface isn’t completely flat but we managed to find a decent spot for our tent. We were right next to the creek which was the best sound to fall asleep to and great to cool off in during a hot day. Lauren and Jeremy were great about communication prior and all the directions were clear. We can’t wait to plan our next trip and we look forward to trying another area of the campground to explore the whole area.

Such a beautiful location! The owners were very accommodating and helpful. I mixed up the accepted trailer size and we quickly learned the reason was due to the steep road down to the property. The owners were very understanding and helpful in assisting us to get out after our stay. They are hoping to make available spots up top for larger travel trailers but for now you will want to enjoy that beautiful property in a tent or van with 4wd. Truly such a peaceful place and wonderful hosts!

Fantastic campground just past Sandy, OR. Hosts are friendly and easy to communicate with. Excellent amenities. The area is very clean. The creek is beautiful and a great place for the kids to play and adults to relax. We will definitely return.

Great camp! Creek sites r better

This camp is awesome overall. We camped with a group of kids - and we all loved the steep hiking to a big beautiful meadow, playing in the creek, and picking blackberries. I’m really glad our friends rented the King Boleto site across from us or I would have been a little disappointed since Amanita wasn’t as nice. It was a little awkward in terms of shape for placement of multiple tents and vehicles. I also strongly preferred the frontage on the creek that other sites had than solely being on a sort of stagnant pond. I would totally went this site as a part of a bigger group with creek frontage. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it as a standalone site since there isn’t access to the creek.

We had such a great time at the Morel site! This was my son’s first camping trip and the second we arrived he was asking to come back again. The space was perfect and the barn was a nice little treat! we didn’t realise how much it offered! We will DEFINITELY be back. Thank you so much!

Cute campsite right along a stream. The sound of the water was so relaxing, it drowned out any other sounds from other campers. Great private location, very safe. We also rented a propane fire pit which made the camping experience complete.

Family trip to Fairy Ring

Lauren and Jeremy were fantastic hosts. This was such a cool camp spot! They provided great instructions leading up to the stay and answered all my annoying questions. The grounds are well maintained with really clean porta potties (we didn’t use the showers in the Blue Barn). Would recommend and definitely will book again. No service for T mobile users. Which was nice for us to disconnect

Had the best time!

Morel is one of my favorite sites at Camp Cedar Creek! We had two 4-6 person tents for the four of us, and an easy-up—and we felt we still had plenty of room to hang out. Just book it! You won't regret it! Best hosts, GORGEOUS property, a doggo wonderland. Such a Hipcamp gem!

Camp Cedar Creek is such an awesome place! Lauren and Jeremy are fabulous hosts, and the fact that their outdoor wonderland is super pup friendly makes it such a win. We arrived just ahead of a thunder storm (yolo!) and Jeremy visited each site to check in with guests and make sure people were prepared. He invited our group the Blue Barn to take refuge while the storm passed. So kind. Snag any of their campsites - you'll have a great time!

One of the best hipcamps!

This property is absolutely stunning! Easy to get down the initial hill in a 2wd RAM Promaster - we had just a bit of difficulty getting out on dry terrain, but nothing unsolvable. We were able to pick blackberries and gaze at the stars all night, and the barn is gorgeous! We'll definitely be back :)

Beautiful, Clean, and Quiet

Camp Cedar Creek is amazing and only an hour from Portland. The Puffball site (and many of the others, as far as I could tell) is right along the creek, with very easy access. We were in the middle of the three sites located over the bridge but lucked out and were the only ones there. Next time, I would probably choose the farthest site, Candy Cap, in case we had neighbors. The porta potty was close and super clean, and our dog had a great time running free and splashing in the creek. Their blue barn is a great addition as well. My husband was able to put in a morning of work in their beautifully finished space just up the hill before coming back down to enjoy the day. This is definitely a new favorite spot for our family.

Great van stop!

Just what we needed! Big Blue Barn served as a fantastic one-night quick stop between Crater Lake and Mt Rainier where we were able to make use of their excellent facilities - laundry, showers, charging, water, ping pong, darts! Hosts were super nice. Great piece of land. Barn is awesome, huge shared space: downstairs has gigantic kitchen, two full nice clean bathrooms, couches, games, workout equipment; upstairs is very nice co-working space. We were in spot number 9 right next to the barn which gives you easy access to electric charging setup. The directions on getting here are detailed but coming westbound the field and yellow building snuck up pretty quick and it’s a highway so make sure you put your turn signal on early! The drive in from the road has a couple steep sections, a front wheel drive ProMaster had difficulty leaving in the morning (but was able to leave using a different less steep driveway) but our rear wheel Transit was no problem. Loved the setup, loved the facilities, hosts were very nice, love that places like this exist! Highly recommended. Thank you!
