Sick of city life's craziness? Fancy living the farm life for a hot minute? Need a basecamp for Hoodland escapades? Wanna take the family for an easy getaway? We've got you covered for all of this, and more. At the doorstep to Portland, Cascades, Columbia River Gorge, even the coast, we're your forest fix without the campground menagerie. It's Four Seasons camping with more stars, fresh air, and pastured sheep, chickens, ducks, and pigs. Our farm has 19 acres of regenerative orchard, pasture, gardens, and 20 acres of rewilding forest. We're raising food AND making space for wildlife and nature to thrive. Walk-in campsites include tent pad with wood-chip ground cover and redwood furniture OR tent-furnished sites (just bring your sleeping bag and toothbrush!). We also have two drive-in sites for small RVs and vans. You're welcome to explore our trails, check in on the farm animals, find your zen in a forest bath. Please remember to close the gates behind you, and observe local fire restrictions. And please pack out your trash and leave your campsite looking tidy for the next guest. Need more info? Forest Site: Thimbleberry
100% (15)
Tent site · Sleeps 5
We have six secluded walk-in camp sites scattered across 10 acres in a 20-year stand of regenerating forest. Your reservation will not be for a specific site. Each oasis includes a level wood-chip pad for your tent, redwood stools and tables, access to a nearby bath house and water spigot, and languid moments of absolute refuge and quiet. The camp sites are about 500-1000 feet from the parking area. When you arrive, grab a little red wagon, walk to the forest along our picturesque field path (about 500 feet) and then pick the open campsite in the forest that appeals to you. Set up camp and enjoy your retreat! You're welcome to walk or bike the 2+ miles of farm trails and paths, check in on the animals, survey the farm pond, and find a spot for a forest bath or rest. Please stay out of farm buildings, respect the privacy of farm residents, refrain from harvesting or eating fruits from the forest or farm (unless you have coordinated with us to do some picking), and close all gates after you pass through them (even if you found them open for some reason)! Because of fire hazards, we cannot have camp fires between May 1 and December 1. Please pack out all of your trash and leave your campsite as tidy and clean as you found it. By booking a stay on our farm, you and your guests are agreeing to the the liability release: https://forms.gle/kMRCxKPKQuAL2Spy8.

Quidditch Meadow Group Site
Scrumpy Forest Farm is straight-up magical. Paula is a generous and kind host who made us feel right at home. She welcomed us to her beautiful land, helped us settle in, and shared the farm’s magic. The Quidditch field was perfect for our group campout: open enough to stargaze, yet surrounded by trees that made the space feel wild, safe, and tucked away from the world. The cozy kitchen had everything we needed—and honestly, I caught myself wishing it was my everyday kitchen. We even got to build chickadee birdhouses as a little nature craft project, which was such a fun bonus. And Etta the dog was adorable. Scrumpy Forest is one of those rare places that feels grounded and enchanting at the same time. Whether you’re visiting for a campout, a project, or one of their community events, I’d 100% recommend it.

We had a great stay at Paula's Scrumpy Farest :) Her communication was clear, the bathroom was clean, and the site felt private even though there were other campers nearby. We also really enjoyed getting to talk with Allison, who helps Paula run the operation! If we are ever back in the area, we would love to camp here again!

Quidditch Meadow Group Site
Our church group stay here for 3 days and we all had a great time! The host was there to greet us at arrival and direct us to our campsite. During our stay Paula invited our group to a sheep milking and that was a lot of fun, especially for the kids! We also got to pet the sheep and hold/pet a chicken. There is a lot of room for larger groups to spread out. We had about 25 in our group and had all the room we wanted for games and the kids to run around. The toilet is a composting toilet, but it's the next best thing to a flushing toilet. Many in our group took showers and had no complaints. We had a few complaints about the parking situation (2 cars allowed at the campsite, 3 at the entrance to the farm), but we are from the suburbs with allergies to hiking/walking long distances, even on nice days. 😀 Overall, we had a great time! Thanks Paula!
