The year 1989 birthed the renowned Windells Camp and High Cascade Snowboard Camps at Mt. Hood, Oregon. What resulted today is a 28-acre action sports mecca that serves as the pathway for nearly every action sports professional and these special Roamer Sites give you a sampling of that experience. Nestled at the foot of Mt. Hood and its year round lift-accessible snow, these adventure rigs sites for #vanlife, roamer trucks, and nimble RVs place you on the campus of one of the world's premiere destinations for actions sports. We also offer glamping tents. With Sandy Ridge mountain bike trails within a mile, and over 40,000 sf of skateboard park, there is something for everyone. Your Roamer Site one of 18 featuring a communal campfire and picnic tables. From 5-7pm M-F and 7-10AM Sat/Sun you'll have access to our private indoor and outdoor skateboard parks, mountain bike trails, and fitness center. Want coaching and more? We have that! I had a quick in and out one night stay and enjoy the big trees and peace and quiet. Located next to an actions sports camp, and the hills which allow for lots of hiking and relaxing"

Site 7 - Action Sports Adventure Rig Sites

This spot goes! Solid amenities and super cool staff. Obviously you got a sick skate park and the sauna is next level, if you don’t stay here there is something wrong with you.

Site 7 - Heated Action Sports Glamping

Such a sweet get away in a beautiful forest setting. Super cozy tent with heaters to stay warm even in the winter ! Great host interactions. Hope to return and try the indoor park , timing was off for me on my visit.

Site 10 - Heated Action Sports Glamping

Excellent Stay!

Fantastic stay. The tent was very clean. Keep in mind you are still camping. Stayed warm all night with the provided space heater. They also had heated blankets or mattresses, which helped with warmth. Plenty of storage, boot dryers, hangers, a lamp, towels, and plugins were all provided/available. Plenty of communal outdoor seating, a fire pit, and nice overall ambience. Pretty quiet at night as well. Close to Timberline. Excellent communication with very responsive hosts. Two notes: 1. The bathrooms were relatively well-maintained, though I found it odd that there were so many personal items (soaps, shampoos, loofahs, etc.) in the showers/on the shower racks. Didn’t leave a ton of space to place your own things when showering. In one of the showers there was even a body wash container on the floor, which seems gross for that person? Also, it wasn’t super clear what folks were supposed to do with their used towels; some left them in the bathrooms hanging from wall hooks (after seemingly being used to wipe of excess wetness on the floor) and some just left them on the seat. Just a bit unsightly and takes up space others could use for their own towels while actually using the facility. Could put a hamper in each bathroom potentially? 2. The sauna was available and working, which is definitely a cool perk. However, the cold plunge tubs were not filled. Not sure why. They had leaves and some trash in them. Overall, a wonderful stay that’s an excellent value.

We love this place! Always so well maintained, and the hosts are prompt with their responses. We’ve stayed here twice now to ring in the new year, and it was awesome.

Site 8 - Heated Action Sports Glamping

Love it

Such a cool spot! Spent the night for my birthday and it was perfect. Tons to do and the tent was super cozy but had more than enough space. The beds have a remote for heat too which was amazing considering it’s the end of December. Overall great experience, can’t wait to come back :)

Loved this spot. What a gem! The sauna was amazing. The beds are heated and comfy. The tents stayed warm, even during the winter storm. Can’t wait to come back!
