It was such a great work-away set up. Raina and her family were so nice and helpful to give me information about their farm and having things available. I was able to make myself coffee every day on their french-press. They have a cast iron and I was able to warm up some meals on their gas stove. I did have to figure figure out a shower situation elsewhere which I did not mind. Nights can be a bit chilly and I recommend bringing a few extra blankets just in case you run cold like I do.
We truly savored our time on the farm. Raina and Nathaniel were such welcoming, accommodating hosts. The tent was cozy with the heater on (even with snow falling in May!), and running water and multiple gas cooking options were such luxuries for a campsite. Jet the cat graced us with his presence and demanded scritches, which we were happy to provide.
Counting down the days until our next visit!
Amazing stay!! Perfect little getaway that’s a hop skip and a jump to Smith Rock. Easy to get to the campsite but felt remote/quiet enough for us (can still hear the train and large trucks at night, so maybe not for you if you really want the quiet outdoors). Loved the animals on the farm (Monty their dog is super friendly) and the host were great! Will recommend to friends!!
Raina was a great host who made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The property was beautiful as well. Highly recommended.
We loved to our stay so much, we went back for a second time and brought our kids. They had so much fun helping on the farm and can’t wait to go back. I love the new details we see each time. Awesome hosts and a one-of-a-kind experience

No better place to stay! The nicest hosts, the cutest tent, the most amazing scenery! Such a comfy bed. Delicious tomatoes left for us. Stars at night were astounding.

A really dreamy stay! Beautiful canvas tent and surrounding property. Would absolutely stay again :)
Tent and site were absolutely beautiful! We weren’t there long enough to enjoy all that the site had to offer (BBQ and outdoor area, animal visits, etc) but I hope to return some day!
We loved our stay at Big Rock! We arrived late at night ans Raina had left the lights plugged in, it looked magical glowing at night. It got a little chilly with the cold air blowing through the cracks of the wooden platform that the tent sits on. But we stayed warm and cozy in the bed. Lots of farm animal noises to wake us up in the morning and beautful views. We would love to stay here again in the future!
