+Fresh Local Food: If you’re here during the season, you can purchase fresh produce directly from us or from our neighbors. Lindstrom has a local meat shop, and you can grab essentials and snacks at Rod’s Country Corner. There’s always something to make your camp meals extra special.

--Wildlife: Black bears do live in the area, so please make sure all food is stored securely in your car at night. We want to keep everyone safe and the bears wild!
--Weather: Rural weather can be unpredictable, pop-up storms are common. Be sure to check forecasts, and keep rain gear handy. Tents are subject to wind, so make sure your setup is sturdy.
--Quiet Hours: We value our peace and quiet here, so please respect our designated quiet time after sundown. It's a time to unwind and enjoy the stars.
__No Smoking/No Pets: For the comfort all guests and to maintain a clean farm environment, we do not allow smoking (either tobacco or marijuana) or pets on the property, avoid bringing glass bottles to prevent accidents.

A short trail (400 feet or a little over a football field) leads through the forest to the Snake River, where you’ll find a second fire pit with chairs, solar lighting, and a private dock that is share with just our cabin and then campsite. If you are tenting, you can tent at the river but do not drive on the trail except for atvs. The river is great for fishing, swimming, canoeing, or kayaking, and can accommodate small boats. Multiple public boat landings are located up and down the river for easy access.
The property lines are outlined in the overview picture. Please do not go to the west of the trail to provide ample space for privacy with our neighbors. The red on the map is the camping area with electricity and outhouse. Our personal log cabin is the blue dot but there is a significant tree line in between. If we are there, we are happy to give you a tour. The blue line is the trail. The white area is our property on the river and available for tent only or to hang out for the day if you choose to camp up top. The purple area is where the goats are busy eating. Come and visit them!
While the site does not have running water, you’ll be camping right next to our family cabin, and we’re happy to help with anything you might need. We also have friendly goats on the property that guests are welcome to visit!
There’s also plenty to explore nearby. Just minutes away, Braham offers a quirky “hole-in-the-wall” bowling alley and some charming local shops. Head north to Pine City for more options, including restaurants, a larger grocery store, and additional shopping. History buffs will enjoy visiting the Snake River Trading Post, a Minnesota historical site. And if you’re in the mood for a local treat, Sapsucker Farms is a nearby cidery open on weekends, often hosting live music, food trucks, and hiking trails. We have a nice, fully private outdoor shower with hot water available for $2.50/shower. Guests can pay on-site via our posted QR codes or cash box.
We're also available for other events like birthday parties, intimate weddings, and group gatherings at our gazebo and/or 20ft x 40ft party tent.
As a homeschooling, home business building family, there is usually a project or two always in the works to join in on if you feel so inclined or just sit back and enjoy the peace of clean air and loving goats!

This is a site tucked in amongst our back forest of white pines and birch trees about 35' from the back lake called Bass Lake. The lake is suitable for canoeing, kayaking and fishing. I have stayed at Jubilee Homestead a handful of times over 3 years. It’s a beautiful slice of land to bring my friends and my granddaughters to. The animals, the beautiful barn and owners are all great. Esther answers messages within minutes and is so helpful always. She and her husband have written many books and we bought one on this visit. I’ll be coming back here a few times every year. It’s wonderful to bring my city granddaughters out so they can experience this beautiful country life! Picking apples from trees, touching goats and chickens and just playing at the playground, it’s a sweet slice of country life.

Esther’s property was so beautiful and relaxing! I loved all the chickens, goats and seeing the neighbors’ cows and horses. Also, one of the barn cats literally climbed up in my lap and cuddled into my neck!! So sweet! The little path around their property is cute and the outhouse was so clean and roomy. The cookies at arrival were delicious and I purchased a book (excited to read) and crochet pig from their little store. It was a quick stay but peaceful and relaxing. I would recommend!

Such a great retreat from the city!
I used the provided kayak for a sunset paddle and the firewood was at site as well.
Gorgeous sunset and even better sunrise!
Quiet, private, and the view was stunning. I took a bunch of photos to make oil paintings. Bob Ross! Haha
The host was so great helping me back out on my tear drop’s maiden voyage.

I’m so grateful for my time at Hill Camp. It felt like a dream waking up every morning as the sun rose over meadows full of aster and goldenrod. Sue and Allen were warm and kind and gave me great tips for places to check out, including an Amish bakery nearby! At night, you can see the Milky Way and hear full convos between owls and katydids and even (I think!) coyotes. During hunting season, you might periodically hear gun shots in the distance, but only during the day. In terms of amenities, the port-a-potty is very close, and if you need access to a sink or electricity, they have both at their cute little greenhouse down the way. This was my first time camping at a farm, and I can’t wait to come back and do it all over again 🥹🌾✨

We had a wonderful visit at the Jubilee camp. The place is peaceful, fun and beautiful. Many things to do rain or shine. The animals, love how the owners provide information and names of many. The “poop coop” is the best outhouse alive seen yet. And the owners - greeted us upon arrival. Always answered any questions within an extremely short time and I feel went out of their way to make the visit enjoyable.
We do hope to visit again next summer!
