Lazy Acres Lake borders Natchez Trace State Park and is located 11 miles from interstate 40 in the beautiful farming community of Chesterfield, Tennessee. We have an abundance of wildlife including fox, turkey, racoon, otters, geese, ducks and even a resident piebald whitetail buck named Lucky who enjoys hanging out by the levee. Lake access is included with each site reservation. Life jackets required for those with paddle and fishing licenses for those with pole (canoe rentals coming soon :) RV camping sites 1-3, the boat ramp and main parking area are located at the main entrance (yellow beaked bird). Off-Road site #4, the hiking trailhead and our back country tent camping sites are located at the east entrance (patriotic fence post). Site #4 is the most private of our car camping sites but does require 4WD (not AWD) during wet weather. Campers reserving Site #4 have the option to set up camp in the gravel parking area during wet weather or simply park there and take a short hike down to the waterside campsite. The east entrance also provides access to the hiking footbridge across the creek and trailhead to our back country sites where we welcome all our tent, bivy, shelter and hammock campers. AT style trail blazes and postings direct campers to each campsite. * All gates are open 24 hours when campers are present.

Lazy Acres Lake
Had a great spot right by the lake! We loved how private it was and that our dog could run around off leash. Enjoying a beautiful sunset over the water with a fire was just what we needed even with the rain

Lazy Acres Lake
An honest review
The place is not maintained and the wildlife was super loud. My car got stuck in the mud and I was told we were the third to get stuck recently by the AAA guy. I messaged Brad to tell him that he should warn campers that when it rains you cannot go down the hill.. Then, he told me I was ungrateful… and I only paid $12.50 to stay there. So, stay wise out there.

Great Stay
Beautiful piece of land, slight issue with the directions on how to reach the site, but it was resolved easily upon calling Brad. Overall would recommend.

Lazy Acres Lake
The camping area (4) we stayed at was fine… it’s clearly still under construction and it’s pretty close to the road. Traffic and people mowing got annoying pretty quickly. The Lake at least our area needs a few loads of gravel or sand to avoid all the muck.

A great secluded spot! The lake view was great even though Brad had to lower the water while I was there. Very communicative as well. Great stay!
