Lazy Acres Lake is located 11 miles from interstate 40 in the beautiful farming community of Chesterfield, Tennessee. We have an abundance of wildlife including our own team of Khaki Campbell guard ducks and a piebald whitetail buck named Lucky who enjoys hanging out by the levee. Lake access is included with each site reservation. Life jackets required at all times for those with paddle please. Camp sites 1-3, the boat ramp and main parking area are located at the main entrance and offer gravel roads and parking. Look for the LAL logo on the left gate post. Camp site #4 the hiking trailhead and our back country campsites are located at the east entrance. Look for patriotic fence post near the road. If you end up traveling a long paved road that leads to a boat ramp with lots of parking, you zigged when you should have zagged. Turn around and lazy acres is across from where that road ends. Follow the access road along the tree line down to the water. The hiking trail is to the east across the footbridge. Look for white AT style blazes for trail markers. The blue blazes leading to each campsite. * All gates are open 24 hours when campers are present.

This site is NOT suitable for RVs! ➖Some Details➖ • UPDATE - I am currently working on path down to the fire pit area, PLEASE do not abuse or tamper with the bark mulch or the path itself! • There is NO porta-potty on site, need to bring your own accommodation. • There is a game camera on site solely used to inspect the property once the guest leaves. • There is no running water. • There has been a septic installed and the pipes have been blocked off and covered. There shall be NO tampering with this. • All trash must be COMPLETELY removed from property, if not there will be a cleaning fee charged to you. • There has been a culvert installed at the beginning of the driveway and it is thin, we are going to be extending it in the near future. If you drive a monster vehicle (larger than your average truck) reach out to me to make sure it’s manageable. • If it has been raining the road may have some mud to get to our location. Calico Junction Ranch

Located in the hills and high forests of Hohenwald, Tennessee, Calico Junction Ranch is a large, multi-faceted operation with over forty head of horses, breeding kennels for Long-Coat German Shepherds, and a modest Heritage Breed Hog farming operation. Occupied by Native Americans as early as 10,000 BC, the Chickasaw Indians hunted our hills in the 1500's, and the ranch property is located along the Cherokee "Trail of Tears." The ranch was later home to a miner named "Grizzly Jack"... You can visit his cabin during your stay. More recently, Calico Junction hosted benefits for St. Jude's Children's Hospital, and we regularly host dinner trail rides on weekends. If you’re a water-lover, Pickwick Landing State Park is sure to float your boat. The lake in high summer will be chock-full of motor vessels, but also of catfish, crappie, bluegill, stripes and sauger, making it a mecca for fishing enthusiasts. Got a competitive side? Or just like to watch? There are some HUGE fishing tournaments here (and we’re not just talking from mouth to tail). If you opt for a drier sport, the park hosts a golf course. If you’re just looking to chill out in nature, there are three swimming beaches and primitive camping on the north side of the lake.
