Beautiful, secluded camping spot
15 ft travel trailer · With kids
The RV campsite overlooks a gorgeous, well-kept, large, rolling field of grass, and some trees. There's a fire pit built out of boulders, a picnic table, and a swing set. The host is very welcoming and even gave us s'more fixings, and there was already some firewood in the pit. We did opt for the badminton and corn hole, and my 8 year-old son enjoyed both. When booking, I wondered whether the site was private. It turned out that the site is next to a stored boat, and there is a house further up the hill on that side. However, that's on the side of your RV that you don't open to, and the boat storage breaks the house's view, so it did feel like we had privacy. The side that the RV does open to is quite beautiful, and my son remarked about it multiple times. There is a sweet, free-roaming white Labradoodle named Stanley who sometimes came to visit my dog, and joined us for a walk. We were able to get supplies in the nearby town of Banks. We also drove an hour (each way) to Tillamook and did the Creamery tour, with ice cream of course. Between all that, and also watching the movie "The Fall Guy" by the campfire on a laptop we brought, while having s'mores, my son asked to stay longer. We had to get back, but I would highly recommend this spot to anyone. An electrical hookup was available, and water but not by direct hookup. No shower or bathrooms (ours were in our RV anyway).
