We brought our pop-up to the West Site for fall colors, and it was perfect! I was able to make it to the site in my Outback without any trouble.
You have direct access to the river, which would have been amazing to cool off in the summer months. We got plenty of rock hunting in, though! There were also plenty of farm fresh eggs for purchase, which we loved.
There is an East Site, but you can't see or hear it from the West Site. It's a little closer to the road than we thought it would be, but the speed limit is 35 and there isn't much traffic going by at all.
The listing mentions the nearby gun range as a source of noise- You might get lucky and not hear anything (all of Saturday there were no shots). But we heard it on Sunday, and if this is an issue for your dogs or anybody else in your group, please be aware that it really does echo down the valley.

Great spot. Lots of nature with no cell service. Which is exactly what I was looking for. Right next to the road, but very minimal traffic- probably 6 cars passed by all night.
Right next to the river. Which was beautiful to hear all night as well. Definitely recommend.

Gorgeous huge site right in the River. What a Beautiful property! Also to have Firewood and Farm fresh eggs waiting upon arrival was amazing. The only down side was the constant shooting from the gun range near by on Sunday. But this was fully disclosed upon booking this site, so we were aware that this could be happening! Definitely looking forward to Camping again in the Future!

The site was beautiful and we heard and saw plenty wildlife. Caught one bass but admittedly not great or experienced at river fishing. Eggs and firewood were great too!

Our experience was so lovely! We all had our tents out by the river which was very peaceful to sleep by at night. They provided us with extra firewood and then some! They were very helpful and even helping us before we had arrived. Answering all of our questions and being super convenient with certain requests like arriving early, more firewood etc. Beware of raccoons and have your food secured throughout the night! My group will surely be back again!

This site was exactly what we were looking for. Beautiful river and lots of wildlife and the feeling of getting away from it all at least for a couple days! The hosts were great with firewood and fresh eggs waiting for us. They even jumped our car when our battery died!

Rebecca was SO kind. We last minute booked to get out of the city and found ourselves in a peaceful part of MN. Hearing the river at night puts you right to sleep. The stars… incredible! Rebecca left us a great stack of wood and even helped us with a drop point so we could kayak the river the next day. We will be back! East side is the best.

Location is nice, you are pretty close to a road but there is so little traffic it is easy to forget the road is right there. The river is super close as well and easy to get to. Some drifters down the river on rafts but still very private. 10/10 no complaints.

Perfect campsite for a day of floating the river! Although close to the road with minimal traffic, it still felt secluded and private. Sits on a bluff with access to the river below. Short walk back to the property entrance for a 10 minute float to campsite. Large enough to set up multiple tents in different areas for privacy. Make sure to bring sneakers/water shoes for the river, very rocky bottom river bed at campsite!

We recently spent my birthday camping at this beautiful site in our RV, and it was an unforgettable experience. The location is incredibly serene and private, providing the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Rebecca, our host, went above and beyond to make our stay special. She offered us farm-fresh eggs for my birthday and provided us with firewood both upon check-in, and additional wood when we decided to extend our stay.
The river near the campsite was pristine and inviting. We spent hours enjoying its clean, clear waters and even found little shells on the island—such a cute discovery! Fishing from the shore was a great bonus; we caught a few bass and made some wonderful memories.
Overall, this was one of the most peaceful and picturesque camping experiences we've ever had. We’re already looking forward to returning next year, possibly even before my next birthday if we're in need of a quick weekend getaway. Thank you, Rebecca, for making our stay so memorable!

I had a fabulous weekend at the Easter site. There was plenty of fire wood ready to go and the site was large and secluded. I never saw the people at the West site. The shooting range was not much of an issue. The beach was under water and the current was strong, but it was not an issue. I look forward to staying again!

Words cannot describe the peacefulness one experiences while staying at this property. The eagles overhead, the lack of traffic and other modern day noises are something the would needs.. There was ample amount of firewood provided, great communication from the host and an all around great experience! A great way to disconnect from society is right here! Loved it!

My husband, our three kids and I really enjoyed the East camp site! We camped for one night in early June and there were ZERO mosquitoes 😱 The site was clean and beautiful—the scenery is gorgeous. It is right by a road, but there was very little traffic so it didn’t bother us. No other people on sight with the exception of the occasional tubers going down the river (which looked like a lot of fun!). Thank you, Rebecca, and we’ll be staying again for sure!

The land was beautiful and the hosts were very communicative, brought us wood when we asked, and gave me an extra dozen eggs for my birthday, which was incredibly sweet.
For future bookings, campers should know that they may come and use their land with visiting children and relatives while you are staying there, as well as occasional ally host parties and shoot (loud, persist) guns on their range from 11am-6pm. There seems to be a feud between their neighbor who doesn’t like the guns, who in turn sounds a deafening air horn throughout the day in retaliation.
Again, the hosts were nice and the land was beautiful, but I think more details should be provided for full disclosure.

Eastside campsite provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable Mother’s Day getaway. Our two boys had a blast playing in the river while we soaked in the stunning views. As night fell, we were treated to a rare spectacle—the aurora borealis dancing overhead. Nature's magic at its finest. Can't wait to return!

Set in the Zumbro River valley, the site is beautiful. It's early spring, so the trees don't have leaves yet. I'm sure in summer it's really pretty.
There's a relatively flat area to set up camp near the picnic table and firepit. The river is about 20 feet away down a small hill. There are stairs and a dirt ramp leading down to a small beach. The road is about 30 feet away. It doesn't seem to be a busy road, but cars and ATVs occasionally travel by.
Unfortunately, the gun range is close. During the day, it's a bit jarring and loud. We didn't spend a ton of time at the campsite during the day. We heard shots until about 7:45/8 p.m. and started up again at about 10 a.m.
At night, the site was quiet. It was really nice to sit outside listen to the river.

Absolutely beautiful location right next to the Zubro River. There was a large fire pit, picnic table & host provided wood. On the opposite side of the Zubro River in a tall pine tree was a Bald Eagles nest. We had Canadian Geese and Loons fly in and land in the water. Incredible camp site that we will surely visit again. With such beauty comes some small inconveniences. You are right next to a 2 lane road with occasional vehicles passing. The ground was a bit uneven, finding a completely flat location was difficult. The beauty & sound far outweigh ANY issues we might have had. Not only do we recommend this site but we will return.

Very awesome place to camp, hosts were very friendly, provided ample firewood, the views along the river were amazing! One of the best camping trips I've taken! Deer and turkey seen every day, bald eagles flying overhead and a really nice sand bar on the river where you can see the fish swimming. This place checked all the boxes!

Really enjoyed the night and morning. I arrived late, traveling back from a bike trip in northern Wisconsin. Wood was provided and set up for a bonfire and it was a quiet and peaceful time. Would come back again.

Such a beautiful camp spot! Came with plenty of firewood, and the farm eggs were such a great camp breakfast. Great spot for swimming, and lots of fish around if you’re into fishing. This is very close to the road- but not very busy at all and we weren’t bothered by the occasional traffic noise. There’s more traffic on the river- mostly tubers- but only during the day! Totally tranquil and absolutely beautiful in the morning and evening. We’ll be back!
