Welcome to K.O.H.O.E. – Camps, Events, Rentals Nestled on 150 acres of forested beauty along 2.3 miles of riverfront in Southwest Michigan, this former Don Kerbis Tennis Camp has been transformed into a one-of-a-kind outdoor retreat where adventure meets serenity. Whether you're here to camp, paddle, hike, or simply unwind, this land offers something unforgettable. Guests have access to wooded trails teeming with wildlife like deer, wild turkeys, and even bald eagles. Bring your own kayak or canoe and launch into the gently flowing river right from the property. Cast a line in one of two peaceful catch-and-release ponds, or shoot hoops and rally on our old-school basketball and tennis courts (play at your own risk). Cornhole, volleyball, fire pits, and stargazing round out the fun. We offer a variety of unique stays—from renovated campers and cozy cabins to a Mongolian-style yurt—all designed to connect you with nature while providing comfort and charm. Whether you're planning a quiet weekend or a family-filled adventure, you're just 30 minutes from the vibrant beach towns of South Haven and St. Joseph—where you’ll find sandy beaches, splash pads, boutique shops, delicious food, and more. Please note: This is a shared property with multiple rentals. Expect the camaraderie of fellow nature lovers and the friendly presence of forest critters—including bugs. Pets are welcome (sorry, no cats).
