So disappointed I left early!
The property was cute and in a quieter area, though much closer to neighbors than I expected. Unfortunately, my stay was extremely disappointing. Basic safety was ignored—the window coverings didn’t provide privacy, some windows didn’t lock, and there was no welcome or instruction manual. This was a big problem since I couldn’t figure out the TV, several appliances, or even what to do for checkout (linens, trash, dishes, etc.).
I brought my dog, and when a neighbor’s dog came into the yard, I texted the host twice for advice with no response. Then, about a third into my stay, the water stopped working completely—no sinks, shower, or toilet. I texted twice and messaged through the Hipcamp app with no reply. I ended up leaving early, and only once I was already on the road did the host finally respond—sending a complicated three-step process to reset the water. That should have been in a manual from the start.
When I told her I had left early and was disappointed, she ignored all three of my messages. No apology, no acknowledgment, nothing.
While the property looks cute at first, the lack of safety, running water, guest guidance, and communication from the host made this stay frustrating and unprofessional.
