**HEATED TENT! ** The Trailhouse sits on the edge of the Green Ridge State Forest less than 2 hours from DC and Baltimore on just under 2 acres and is about 100 feet from Fifteen Mile Creek. Fifteen Mile Creek flows directly into the Potomac River about 1/4 mile away. You can easily hike or bike about 1/4 mile from our property to the C and O Canal Towpath trail as well as the Western Maryland Rail Trail. Enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, tubing, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, birding and more. Bill's Place is within walking distance and Locust Post Brewery is a 10 minute drive up the mountain. Rocky Gap Casino and Resort is 25 miles away. Green Ridge State Forest is listed by Space Tourism Guide as one of the Top 9 places in Maryland for stargazing!Perfect for all of your outdoor adventures, The Trailhouse is nestled on the edge of the Green Ridge State Forest, where Fifteen Mile Creek flows into the Potomac River. You'll be just a few hundred yards from the historic C&O Canal Towpath trail, the Western Maryland Rail Trail, and the Mid Atlantic Backcountry Discovery Route borders the property! Hike, bike, fish, paddle, float or ride before enjoying a hot shower in your private bathroom suite with attached kitchenette. Start a fire, light the charcoal grill, play a game of cornhole, prep your meal, grab a cold drink out of the fridge or enjoy a hot coffee and relax on the covered deck as you listen to the fresh mountain water flow from creek to river. Or... just cozy up in your Queen sized bed and take a well deserved nap before dinner. Don't feel like making dinner? Take a short walk down to Bill's Place for a cold beverage and a hot meal or drive up the mountain to Locust Post Brewery for a pizza, some live music and a craft beer or two. Just make sure you get back to camp in time to catch a few fire flies and watch the stars light up the night sky.

Nice spot near C&O trail
This was just a roll down the hill from Bill's Place and near to the C&O. A great place for riders to stay.

Clearly Terry and Maria care very much about their place. It was squeaky clean and communication was stellar. This was a last minute getaway and a much needed break from the city. Very serene!

The Trailhouse is a winner!
Terry & Maria’s Trailhouse is amazing! The space has everything you could want and Terry & Maria were so responsive and helpful. The Trailhouse is adorable, cozy, and so close to great breweries and hikes. My partner and I are already talking about coming back, we had a fantastic stay. 10/10, absolutely recommend!

The Trailhouse was more than we expected! The space is comfortable and well-designed, and it is conveniently located to great hiking and biking trails. In less than 30 minutes you also have access to great breweries and small-town restaurants. It is a beautiful place for a bonfire and stargazing.

Beautiful spot right by the C&O canal! The bed was especially cozy and we enjoyed sitting around the fire after a long day of cycling. The kitchen/bathhouse is also very well done and extremely elegant for camping!
