RV parking is available at the barn, and there’s plenty of space for small to large groups to pitch tents on the lawn.
All pets, including equines, are welcome. 4-stall barn, 5 pastures with self-waterers and run-ins, and miles of well-maintained trails perfect for ATVs, trail biking, horseback riding, and forest bathing.
Spectacular sunsets behind the house offer panoramic views of Sugarloaf Mountain. The night skies are usually clear, making it ideal for stargazing.
A 3-person salt-water hot tub is available, contingent on availability. $50/hr. and requires a shower before entering. Spa robes, towels, and slippers are provided, depending on availability.
2 e-bikes and 1 mountain bike, all of which are contingent upon availability. A signed waiver is required. Minimum age is 16 years old or at the discretion of the host. They cost $25/hr. per person.
Experienced horse riders can book horse rides for $50/hr. per person. Inexperienced riders must be led using a lead rope. Signed waivers and provided helmets are required.
Our in-ground, unheated swimming pool is open mid-April to end October. $60/hr.

The property adjoins thousands of acres of Garrett State Forest and hundreds of acres of state land along the Youghiogheny River. The world class Wisp resort and Deep Creek Lake are only minutes away. “Yough” is short for Youghiogheny River a state designated wild and scenic river which runs through the heart of the property. Wild Yough Glamping huts are part of more than 350 acres of private land, most of which is crisscrossed with hiking and biking trails. Youghiogheny is an Algonquin word meaning “a stream flowing in a contrary direction”, or in the case of the Yough, North toward Ohio Pyle and Pittsburgh. This section of the river is designated as a protected scenic corridor and you will feel the quiet isolation when sitting on the Crooked Butt Bench overlooking the big horseshoe bend in the river at the far back corner of our property. And if the river is low during your visit, feel free to wade across to the other side – Wild Yough owns the entire peninsula of land on the other side of the river and this is also bordered by State land.The river banks are steep on the property, but the fishing for small mouth bass is exceptional. There is a small turn around on the path just beyond Crooked Butt Bench where you can take out your canoe, kayak, or inner tubes after floating the 2+ miles from the Oakland bridge. Just be prepared to walk your water craft back up to the house or Glamping site as there is no motorized access to the river.If you like to lay on the rocks in the sun or take the kids for some wading in the river, the best place is the farthest to walk to. Take the trail to “High Bluff”, then cross the Snyder property line (Permission for trail access only – do not leave trail!), then descend down and cross the bridge across Herrington Manor Creek (a stocked trout stream!). Wild Yough property is to your right along the river and there is a great place for lying in the sun, doing some fishing, or just wading into the cool waters of the Yough on a hot summer day.Learn more about this land:The idea is simple- our glamping site will offer a true camping experience without all the hassles and fuss. Your own kitchen, your own screened porch, our dock, bird watching (eagles, hawks, osprey, martins, bluebirds), deer, rabbits, occasional foxes, wild turkeys, and, if you are fortunate, peacocks. St. Mary's City is 40 minutes away, and there are numerous restaurants accessible within 20 minutes. Even though we are out in the hinterland, there are 2 local bars where live bands play on a regular basis within a 10-15 minute drive.
Other things to note
This is a warm and cozy space, just perfect for relaxing. There is a bookcase full of books on a variety of subjects, from escape reading to serious philosophical essays, and the water is on view 24/7. There is also a VHS player and more than 40 movies available. There is no cable or WiFi access, but most phones work here. The reception for T-Mobile is not so good

We came up from DC on a Tuesday afternoon, crawling along in six to eight lanes of traffic at 2pm, wondering what we'd gotten ourselves into. Then we took the exit, made a few turns, and suddenly we were sitting at the foot of rolling hills in complete quiet. The contrast was almost comical. Waze got us to the right address with no trouble at all, even though the directions sound confusing on paper — and what a driveway it is. A driveway to peace and nature.
Katie and Josh met us when we pulled in and gave us the full lay of the land: where to find the fresh eggs, the vegetables, the flowers, the showers, the power hookup. Genuinely warm, genuinely helpful, and not hovering. Exactly the right amount of host. Other Hipcampers were already settled in when we arrived, and a few more staggered in behind us.
And then the sunset. I'm not exaggerating for the review — it was one of those skies that makes you stop what you're doing and just stand there in admiration. After a challenging drive, it felt like a blessing handed to every one of us that night. Gratitude, plain and simple.
Also: Zeus was home, and he came out to greet us as we wandered toward the sunset meadow. Mini schnauzer meets Zeus. Wow. The gentle giant.
We were only in town for the one night, which was our loss. But those duck eggs may have ruined chicken eggs for me permanently. Best I've ever had, hands down.

We had a great time at Strawberry Crossroads. We stood in the cabins. We had a good experience there. No issues, pretty clean. The restrooms and showers were clean as well. We were able to grill and chill with no issues. TJ was a great host. Always on point and easy to reach. I will recommend this place to anyone that loves the outdoors.

If you are looking for a quiet place to unwind in mother nature this is the right place to be !!! You will hear nothing but pure nature. A short walk to the water and wildlife and a short drive to Berlin MD or Assatuege island . Michelle was very responsive with every question I've had and very helpful .

The campsite was awesome and included a fire pit and a concrete table. When we realized we were going to arrive later in the evening than expected, TJ was gracious and accommodating. The goats and chickens were fun to wake up to and the bathroom and shower facilities were clean and well cared for. We’ll definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Last Stop Skoolie
The hosts were readily available and the Skoolie was stocked with all the essentials for a comfortable nights stay! The area was beautiful and we woke up to deer foraging in the woods behind us. We just spent a wonderful weekend at this private campground about 30 minutes from Ocean City, MD, and it was exactly what we needed — a peaceful nature retreat with all the right comforts! The property perfectly balances rustic charm with modern conveniences. We loved having access to clean, well-maintained bathrooms and incredibly hot showers that felt like a luxury after a day outdoors.
The owner was fantastic — super friendly, flexible, and genuinely helpful with anything we needed. It made our stay so much more enjoyable knowing we could reach out easily.
What truly made this place special was the adorable animal crew that runs the property! The goats are absolute stars — so friendly and curious that they came right up to us for pets. The chickens and the very cute duck were just as charming, wandering around and adding so much personality to the grounds. We couldn’t stop smiling every time we saw them!
The location is ideal too — close enough to enjoy a day at the beach in Ocean City or Assateague Island, then come back to relax by a fire while nature sings you to sleep. Whether you’re tent camping, in an RV, or staying in one of the mini cabins, this spot has something for everyone. Highly recommend for families, couples, or anyone looking to unplug and recharge. We’ll definitely be back!
