We are a small vegetable, fruit and herb farm that has just been getting started over the past few years after relocating from farming in California. Our property is an old farm that historically was primarily used for pasture. We have several vegetable gardens, a berry patch and two small fruit orchards and a forest that campers are welcome to explore. There are about two acres of pasture, but no animals currently grazing, only the chickens that may or may not be within a fenced in area depending on the day and season. We are currently selling produce from our gardens and eggs from our free roaming chickens along with our kitchen products produced on farm in our licensed farm kitchen. Learn more about this land: Pitch your tent near the creek in our forest or hilltop with a view of surrounding farms or in a pasture where you will wake with the morning sun. We have various locations perfect for setting up your space for the night. We do often have two bookings a night on the weekends, it is a first come first pick option for the sites. However, with larger groups we may require to set up in the forest site near the creek or near the farm building might be another option for those who do not want to walk. We are a small diverse vegetable, herb and fruit farm so we welcome campers anywhere as long as they respect the boundries of the gardens and the orchards.  All sites may require walking a little from your car, but some cars are able to get a little closer to the sites(depending on the car & the weather).  We also have a small flock of egg laying hens that roams the property along with nine friendly barn cats and a friendly(but big) farm dog that you may see around the farm.  There are countless species of birds that can be seen around as well as colorful butterflies, moths and dragon flies regularly flying about.  Campers have access to a rustic bathroom(no hot water unless you boil it) and a partial kitchen as well as a charcoal grill, community fire pit and a picnic table.  If you would like to cook onsite we have minimal amount of cookware available to use and you can buy from the farm whatever seasonal produce and/or eggs you might need.   Our farm is down the road from wineries, breweries, a tea room and various other Frederick county attractions.  There are numerous historic sites within a short drive such as Harpers Ferry and Civil War battlefields, including Gettysburg and Antietam.  We are a 15 minute drive to historic downtown Frederick, 10 minutes from the center of historic New Market while being about an hour from downtown D.C. and 45 minutes to Baltimore.  Our central location is great for site seeing around the area during the day, then you can spend the evenings relaxing around the farm. * For small RVs we can accomodate you in some space near the farm buildings. **The hilltop has some flat areas, but there is also a good slope depending on where you set up, so it is really best for campers with only one tent.  This is next to a newly planted orchard, so there is also the option of some flat areas around the little fruit trees. Some cars are able to drive up the hill to park on the hiltop, depends on your car, but we are very strict about no driiving in the orchard.  ***Plenty of space for larger groups as well in the grove site in our forest, near the creek. If your group has more than 4 adults we may require that you use this space as it is most appropriate for larger groups. Some cars are able to drive up the hill to get a little closer, but be prepared to walk up from the parking space near the barns which takes 3-5 minutes or a two minute walk from the hilltop.

It was kind of difficult to find the camp site on the trail at first but once we found it we had a great time! The host is super kind and helped me find it when I lost my sense of direction lol

Review of campsite
I loved camping on their land! Felt great to be in a safe spot in nature. The trails were beautiful and I loved all the flowers!! The hosts were so sweet, responsive, and caring to make sure we had a good experience. we ended up buying vegan cookies which were fantastic!!! The main con of the experience would be the amount of ticks on our site - which got in our tent and our bags but it is a crazy tick season and it is not their fault. We likely will be back for a weekend getaway again (not during tick season).

Suv camping
Catherine and her partner were lovely. We showed up later so the hilltop site was already full. They were both super accommodating in helping us find another nice spot to park our suv. The chicken coop was a huge hit with our toddler. The mowed trails were beautiful. Def recommend. Would definitely stay again but this time I'd arrive on time to get a hilltop spot as I'm sure it's just as beautiful as the rest of the property.

Was a good stay. Lots of interesting things like chickens, dogs, small buildings, smaller more private trails, and hosts were very accommodating.

Nice hosts. Close to Fredrick / grocery store if needed. Decent camp spot though it was hard to find a level area for sleeping. Aside from that, would definitely visit again.

Great for visiting Frederick
Catherine is an amazing host. She is flexible and understanding when it comes to schedules, which is all kinds of awesome. Her farm is super convenient to downtown Frederick - an absolute must for people traveling through. If you use a hammock, get the hilltop site. The view is amazing.

Great spot to be, unfortunately we got rained out which was not any fault of the hosts. They were actually very helpful in offering whatever amenities they had, and responded very quickly to everything. Would definitely recommend anyone coming through!

Promising but needs some work
Fun place with chickens and guinea hens, wildlife (and very loud mockingbirds!) and nice views when you climb the hill. I appreciated Catherine's responsiveness. I was surprised to find that there was no level spot to pitch a tent up the hill, though, and to find (a bit late) that the nice little copse where I set up is VERY close to the neighbors' driveway. Still think this small market garden farmsite is worth supporting! stop suburbanizing everything...

This is a very beautiful piece of property. The family is sweet and accommodating. I do think it’s better for tent camping and not RVs for a better outdoor experience. We had a really good time though.

Several great sites to pick from
When we pulled up, a host a hens, roosters and pheasants were there to greet us. When walking around the grounds, we had several sites to pick from, including a location up the hill and a few by the stream. We picked the option in the woods, which was quiet and pleasant the night through. We made use of the fire pit and enjoyed a peaceful night out all around. Great spot that gives you options and convenience. Definitely a recommend 👍🏽

I had a great time camping here! Catherine was so kind and extremely accommodating. She gave very detailed instructions on where to park/ set up and we had access to the bathroom and kitchen inside the trailer. We had to cut our trip short because the weather took us by surprise and Catherine was kind enough to refund us for the night we did not stay. Definitely recommend staying here and would love to return during warmer weather!

Beautiful farm camping!
Catherine was a welcoming, kind, and flexible host who answered all of my many questions as a first-time Hipcamper! We loved the secluded spot that was about a 7 minute walk from our car. Catherine let us borrow a cart to help transport our belongings, which was a must-have over the hilly meadow. We loved that our site was secluded, had its own fire pit, and was only a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Frederick. The only downside were the burrs that got caught in my dog's velcro-like fur when he walked through the mowed meadow path. All in all, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend!

Peaceful hilltop site w sunset view
Cathrine was a welcoming and helpful host, giving me choices of several spots to set up camp. I pitched my tent on the hill up behind the barn/trailer area, with a great view of the surrounding countryside and sunset. The spot included shade trees, a hammock, a fire pit and log benches, and was a short walk to the trailer for kitchen and bath use. I’m glad I opted to get eggs and veggies from the farm, enjoyed having them to cook during my stay (and meet the chickens who produced them!). Lots of other small details that made the stay wonderful, like fresh flowers in the trailer kitchen and piles of firewood not far from the campsite. Will definitely be back!

Great walking trails
Ended up leaving before nightfall because of big thunderstorms (with 3 toddlers) but we still got some walking in and hammock time at the top of the hill. Great mowed paths among wildflowers. Chickens and guinea fowl were a HUGE hit with my kids. Great communication with Catherine leading up to our visit. Will absolutely try to come back again.

2nd time is even better.
2nd time around. Was even better than first. A bad rainstorm was in the forecast for the evening, but we still made it after the rain to set up. The building in the property was offered if we needed shelter during any further bad weather. Turned out to be a gorgeous day the next day and Katherine and her family are awesome.

Nice, just not secluded
Super nice host, it's just... not my cup of tea for a secluded site. The front site was the only one open due to a felled tree, but it was up a pretty steep hill and from there I was greeted by the neighbors. They waved to me up the hill while they were in their pool from across the street, but I would just prefer an open or wooded view instead of more people and noise. Just my personal preference to be very secluded. Oh, and cool chickens, though.

Brought back memories of farm life.
Beautiful camp area. The hosts are very friendly and warm. Very spacious and so much to see. Great view of the hillside and campfire near hammock has an awesome view at sunset and moon rise. We got lucky and camped when a strawberry moon was rising in sky. Love the roosters and chickens roaming around. Will definitely come back and bring more people or see a different area. Bathroom is a plus. Showers and toilet available.

Eaters Acres Farm Camp
Eaters Acres is a lovely farm! The hilltop campsite was peaceful and had great views and perfect hammock trees, although it was a creative challenge to find spots level enough for two 2-person tents. We also loved the delicious farm-fresh eggs produced by our new buddies, the friendly chickens. And it was great to have bathrooms and running water! The only problem was that the wood that the hosts provided was wet from rain in previous days, and it hadn't been split for use as firewood. So despite using a robust fire-starter, we never got a successful campfire. In the future, I'd recommend that the hosts split the wood and cover their wood piles to keep it all dry.

Eater Acres Farm was nice. The land was beautiful with a creek that goes by 2 of the sites they third one if up on a hill. Not much human noise which is great, but the site I was in I think is under a wind tunnel which can at times sounds like a hurricane, but you get very little wind where my tent was it was kind of nice to fall asleep to the sound. Great host. The town is full of art and history and plenty to do nearby. The bathroom and kitchen were not 100% as they were doing some work on it but Catherine did her best to accommodate us. very Happy with this trip and will come again.
