Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Allegheny Mountains at Kozy Camp, our new camping and glamping site located in Friendsville, Maryland. Just half a mile from the Youghiogheny River, our 30+ acres of rolling hills offer endless opportunities for outdoor adventure. We currently have several tent sites available on the first level of our property, and are adding electricity, two more raised/covered tents sites, and a large community fire pit.Tucked into the hills of Friendsville, Maryland's Wild and Scenic Adventure Capital, Kozy Camp offers campers several tent sites on the property.

Kayaking/Rafting: Bring your kayak, or take a whitewater rafting trip with one of the several local outfitters on the Upper Youghiogheny River, home to some of the most challenging (Class III to Class V) rapids in the eastern United States, including "The Narrows" and "The Maze." The nearby Lower 'Yough' is perfect for anyone seeking more leisurely rafting options, too.
Hiking: Explore our network of hiking trails, ranging from the easy Kendall Trail to more challenging trails like Ravens Rock Park Trail. Take in stunning views of the mountains, or search for wildlife like deer, eagles, turkey, and bear in the 50+ trails within 20 miles of Kozy Camp.
Biking: Hit the trails on a wide variety of local biking trails to choose from, including the Great Allegheny Passage (335 Mies), Youghiogheny Trail (77 Miles). Indian Creek Valley Trail (16 Miles), Cheat Lake Trail (12 Miles), and many more.
Fishing: Cast your line in the Youghiogheny River, known for it's excellent fly fishing. The freshly stocked trout are very popular as are the local smallmouth bass, catfish, and muskie.
Swimming: Cool off in the Youghiogheny, Deep Creek Lake, Swallow Falls, or of the 25 other local ponds, streams, and lakes that are within a 20-minute drive of Kozy Camp..
Other activities: Our guests enjoy a myriad of other local outdoor activities including horseback riding, snowmobiling, ATV and ATX rides, stargazing, birdwatching, wildlife photography, and more.
