What a great little campsite! Perfect for those who want to actually camp without a bunch of people around. The outhouse was clean. A sign at the bottom of the hill would be helpful in directing people where to go.

Nice little spot for a night away. Site is on a slope- bring 4wd unless you're comfortable walking up a short but steep distance. Good trees and views. Clean and cute outhouse.

Simple Denver Getaway!

Camping at Simon's was a perfect little tent camping getaway from Denver. Just an hour away, we really enjoyed the solitude and privacy and chance to get ourselves into the mountains. We drive a AWD vehicle, but I spun a little bit on the steepest bit and decided to just back down to the parking spot, which was easy. The walk was no big deal--maybe shorter than 1,000 feet? The outhouse was clean and very straightforward, even for these city folk. :) The icing on the cake was the faint sound of the river from the top of the hill, giggles from the kids playing in the driveway, and sleeping in on a weekend without the sound of RVs and other campers around. Lovely little spot!

Good place to park close to town and plenty of cell service. Nice quiet area and my dogs were happy to run up and down the hill all day till they were plenty exhausted! Not super flat but if you don’t have levels you can always use the factory jack for your vehicle to level it out and stabilize it also

Campsite No. 2 on Simon's land was very nice! Nice open space with plenty of room to set up a tent and table. Nicely secluded and a nice view. I would definitely rent it again!

Quiet Spot with a View

Pros: great early AM shade- was able to sleep in later than any other camping trip- even over the solstice. This was also due to this being one of the quietest spots we've ever been! Bailey was adorable and we had so much fun checking it out. The directions were helpful. Love being off the grid, but it was nice to have cell service. We didn't need to ask, but there did not appear to be a water source as implied by photos. Definitely need a 4x4 to reach the top and would not recommend planning to pack it up from the lower lot unless you're up for quite the workout. We'd definitely stay again!

Perfect overnight campsite and hammock spot! Definitely need a 4x4 car to park near the campsite but the walk up wasn’t too bad. It offered a good amount of privacy and was easy to locate (follow the pin given). It was exactly as expected, would definitely recommend!

Beautiful, Cozy Campspot!

What a perfect little, cozy spot to stay in Bailey, CO! Just 4 minutes from a river for swimming, called McGraw Memorial Park and it also has a bathroom. The camp spot itself has gorgeous views to make you never want to leave! The hosts are very welcoming also. Will definitely stay again when I'm passing through again!

We loved the quiet secluded aspect of this campsite! Nestled in beautiful evergreen woods with views of the mountains. It's a primitive campsite. Also, the driveway all the way up to the campsite is only accessible if you have a 4x4. There is parking lower down and you can pack your things in. We were in campsite 1 and it wasn't a bad walk. Beautiful scenery. Haha, if you're lowlanders like we were, you might be huffing by the end of you haven't adjusted to the elevation. All in all would definitely recommend.

Just a parking spot but good affordable car-camping option if you don't want to go looking all night for dispersed camping nearby; it's near Denver so all the "easy" finds are going to be taken 4/5 times unless you go mid week.

The campsite was absolutely beautiful and well-maintained and the signage and instructions were extremely easy to follow! We hiked uphill a little bit from site 1 and the view was incredible. The outhouse was very clean as well! It was lovely and in a great area.

Private and quiet but primitive

The site is basically a parking spot on a hill in the woods. The road to the spot is loose and steep, don't try it with low clearance 2WD. I was in a van and needed levels. There was a mixup in my case and there was a car that belonged to another camper in the space and it took an hour to get sorted which was a pain.

The landscape is beautiful. Seeing it from the tent is stunning. Each camp is set up where you feel like you have space and privacy. Toilet and shower clean and spacious. I would definitely stay there again.

Great campsite! Good views, good amenities and very convenient. Only suggestion for others is to take the warnings of the road seriously. It’s pretty steep, rocky and a bit washed out. Made it up in our RAV4 but definitely more of a truck road. Would have been a longer walk then I wanted with all our stuff had we not made it up.

I’ll start by saying we are not really campers so we booked 1 night. pro’s - easy to find, close to town, for an outhouse it’s nice: bathroom and shower are separated by a wall, both have plenty of space. Our stay was fun and memorable. Of Note: You really do need 4WD or AWD to get to the tent, out house is a little hike (fine during daylight, middle of the night not as fun), strap /secure your items in because if someone tries to climb in items could go rolling down and out, consider something to help insulate you as the cold wind come up from the bottom. Unique experience, perfect for a night or two.

Absolutely an experience! I do recommend a 4x4 vehicle as the hike with gear can be treacherous! Other than the small hike, this campsite is truly breathtaking and they accommodated for us every step of the way from getting propane delivered to recommending some good horse back locations for us! A must stay!

Great camping spot!

We camped here for 3 nights and it was a great spot for us! Only 40 minutes from Red Rocks and 10 minutes to Bailey and we had reception the whole time all still while feeling like you're in a secluded spot in nature. Close to a lot of trails, state parks, open spaces and lakes. We had to reach out to Simon on some outhouse needs, and he was prompt in both his responses and getting it taken care of. It was nice to have the outhouse, but we didn't end up using the shower. We would definitely stay here again in the future if we're in the area! The drive up to the parking spot is steep, but there was no rain during our trip and our older Ford Explorer had no issues at all getting up and down every day.

You can see that a lot of love went into creating this space! The hike up was definitely steep, but shorter than expected, and the tent area felt very private. I was graced with a wonderful thunderstorm during the night - the lower section got soaked, but the upper section was warm and dry. 😊 There are little storage hammocks at the top of the lower section that kept my bags out of the rain. Exactly what I needed this weekend, thanks to the hosts for sharing this space! ✌🏼

Was absolutely amazing! We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend to anybody. My jeep made it up to the top just fine but recommend only cars with 4x4 going up to the tent site but as was expected! Was given very clear instructions on how to get there. Thank you Simon!

Amazing forqny, but not for all

Amazing experience in the tree tent being among the trees. Pro: -feelings of seclusion but also short proximity to town and Wellington lake -feeling like I’m in a spaceship/boat with friends -not having to set up the tent, and all hanging out in a common netted area (kept bugs out) Cons: -they aren’t kidding about the steep drive, but it’s a quick 1/4th mile that’s steep -living on a slant when you’re not in the tent -people and items gravitating towards middle of tent in the night -tent was slightly tilted downhill, causing more sliding, but this can be adjusted
