The best weekend of my dog's life

Had an unforgettable weekend on Cosmo's amazing property. Site 3 looked great and definitely had a view, but the larger group site was free so he offered us an upgrade - 4 fenced in acres of forest and field all to ourselves. Cosmo was incredibly friendly and generous, we had all the firewood we could want, and even a flush toilet (!!) in this super secluded site. Our dog literally would not get in the car to leave. We will definitely be back (and booking site 4 intentionally)!

What a beautiful place and an amazing host! We celebrated my birthday here with a group of 15, and Cosmo went above and beyond to make it special. He even upgraded us to a larger campsite, which was perfect for the occasion. The party site itself is magical—you really feel like you have your own private land in the forest, full of funky and fun touches to explore. The DJ booth was a highlight and made our celebration unforgettable. Thank you, Cosmo, for the incredible hospitality and great recommendations!

Cosmos was GREAT!!
Right off the bat cosmo took us in with open arms and nothing but good vibes.
The views are amazing. He kept us up to date on anything we needed which was great. Our group loved our campsite and we had an amazing trip. We will definitely be back!!!

Had a great time at Cosmo's. The cabin was well furnished for something advertised as "rustic" -- there's even a wood stove inside! The land is beautiful, the hospitality fantastic; looking forward to returning!

Amazing stay!
The site is beautiful, it has stunning views and is very private, definitely will come back.
Cosmo is a great host!, super helpful and friendly. He showed us around the property and all the cool places to visit. We had a small issue with our car battery and he helped us out immediately!

I highly recommend Cosmos camp! The views are impeccable, the camp host was very sweet and we greatly appreciated his hospitality. The town of Ukiah is adorable and a great place to grab a beer or dinner. The surrounding areas (where camp is) feels totally untouched and is sheerly beautiful... lot's of trees and river. Would camp again, thank you Cosmos!

Cosmo was an awesome host with everything you could want when seeking some quiet outdoor refuge! We were located at site 3 that had an amazing view of the surrounding ridge lines. Not to mention the location of the property being in between Ukiah and Mendocino with many parks nearby! I’ll be back soon👏🏻

Cosmo's Camp: Campsite #1
This campsite is the definition of a great hipcamp. Cosmo is awesome, full of great stories, and super generous and hospitable. I wish we could have stayed longer. Between exploring around the property and taking in the view, grilling up dinner, enjoying a fire and spending time with the cat residents, we had an awesome stay. I would love to come back and stay longer next time.

This place was SO COOL. So many unique little touches and surprises to find! Cosmo was super nice and accommodating. There’s no cell service so he let us share his info with our babysitter at home in case there was an emergency. He even agreed to run down to the campsite in the middle of the night if our sitter tried to contact him! Great place to stay if you’re going to Orr and don’t want to/can’t stay overnight. A+ 5/5 stars.

We really enjoyed our time at site 3! The space is private and quiet, and our dog loved being off-leash exploring the area. This is a fantastic spot for stargazing, and we saw the Milky Way and some shooting stars. Cosmo is a great host - appreciate that he was able to lend us a weber grill and had everything set up when we arrived.

Cosmo's place is very beautiful and peaceful! We enjoyed camping under the trees in a small forest grove. It was private and quiet but close to everything we needed including the bath house and water. There is good proximity to the redwoods in Montgomery Woods as well as the coast out in Mendocino/Fort Bragg.

I can't say enough good things about this camp! Cosmo is a charming, cool guy who effortlessly balances friendliness and hospitality. He went above and beyond to communicate with me, ensuring my safety and comfort. This meant a lot to me as a solo female traveler! When I first arrived, I was greeted by two fawns munching on blackberries right outside my car - so cool. This host is approachable and readily available without being overbearing, and even let me hang out a bit with him on my last night when I was feeling a little lonely. On top of this - WOW the property is BEAUTIFUL! I saw the Milky Way for the first time, with shooting stars and the moon hanging between the trees. It was so breathtaking, I actually teared up. Cosmo's space is clean, enchanting, and wonderfully eccentric. There is so much to see and explore, the drive in is stunning and I normally get pretty nervous on curvy mountain roads. Here, it's as though the land is watching over you. I felt so safe, relaxed and rejuvenated. This was a perfect trip, I can't wait to come back. I HIGHLY recommend Cosmo and his property to anyone seeking adventure, a clean camp, friendly community or time alone and everything in between. Surrounded by redwoods, the mountains, the ocean less than 45 minutes away...what more could you possibly want? This place was paradise for me <3

We had a fantastic time camping at Cosmo's place. From the moment we arrived, Cosmo was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. The property itself was beautiful and well-maintained, providing the perfect backdrop for our camping adventure.
Our dog had an absolute blast and had no issues at all during our stay, which was a huge plus. The space was dog-friendly, and it was clear that Cosmo put thought into making it comfortable for all guests, including our furry friends.
We would definitely go back and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable camping experience!

Great site with great views nestled in the woods - we really enjoyed watching the sun set and the fog roll into the valley below!
Cosmo is an incredible host who gave us a warm welcome and we learned a ton about the land from him.
The site was very quiet, private, and we only briefly saw a few other groups while we were exploring the trails around the property.
The site was spacious for our group with three tents and was well outfitted with a picnic table, fire pit with cooking grate, weber grill, water jug, and large table.
We'll definitely be back!

We really enjoyed the spot we had on Cosmo's land. Cosmo was welcoming and friendly, and helped us pick the perfect site for us and our dogs for the weekend. The location is great - close enough to head to the coast for a day trip, but beautiful enough to hang out at camp as well. We happened to get there on the day of a heat wave with lots of mosquitos, but the next day it cooled off and the bugs were gone, and we could really enjoy the land and the views.
