3.5 acre property, last remaining part of old inlet horse farm, with plenty of natural buffers from the few neighbors in our vicinity and between our camp sites, as well as the road. So close to everything the inlet area has to offer. Beaches, tidal inlet with boat ramps, Waccamaw River with boat ramps, restaurants, shops, bars, State Parks, nature preserves, fun attractions and much, much more, all just moments away. We are set up as a “primitive” camping experience, the property is kept very natural, unmanicured for the most part, little to no herbicides or insecticides used here. It’s a work in progress, is difficult for me to tackle chores due to physical disabilities, so some private areas are disorganized at this time. I live here full time, with two cats & 5 chickens whom are all free range.
I live here in a double wide by myself, two outdoor cats. Deer, fox, rabbits, hawks and the like are common visitors. This is brand new to me, lots of improvements to be made in the future to make a guests stay even better, so for right now it’s bare bones. Can accommodate tents or certain campers. No pump out, no electricity or running water for “sites” yet, if ever, but running water is here and available for free.
Additions to come soon: outdoor shower, available compost toilet available for rent while here, fresh herbs, vegetables, fresh local eggs, firewood, and covered gathering/ cooking area (not built yet) and much more, I’m really excited. Open to idea’s and options. No fireworks/ gunfire allowed at anytime, no “parties”, but gatherings, campfires, games and fun always welcome.
I prefer meeting guests apon arrival to answer any questions and help all feel comfortable. I do have medical conditions that may prohibit it at times though.

I have included photos in the listing where you can see screen shots of what these cameras' fixed viewpoints are. Rest assured, your privacy is not compromised.***

This property is unimproved and unmaintained raw natural land. The entire property is surrounded by a farm drainage ditch on all sides, with random farm drainage ditches to insure the land is dry and a 60’ x 60’ old farm irrigation pond (see satellite photo to know where the ditches are located). There is plenty of seasoned raw wood (from when the property was cleared 4 years ago) laying randomly throughout the property to cut and collect for a camp fire. The land is located off a dirt access road that is well maintained by the county. The county dirt road can provide for hours of peaceful riding via mountain bikes. Campers are more than welcome to cut their own path on the land for their campsite. There is a fire pit by the large tree when first entering the property at Entrance 2 (please see photos for the locations of Entrance 1 and 2). Note: This raw land is unmaintained and was last cleared 4 years ago, photos are from April 2022. There is a video tour posted on youtube of the property, which can be navigated to via our twitter site link that is shared here as our website address. Please note as of 2025, we have 2 parking areas roped off with yellow rope, one parking area is 20’ x 50’ with crushed aggregate the other parking area is 20’ x 45’. This area is camping in the raw, a designated resting spot for a Camper Van, it is not for an amateur as clearing brush may be necessary and is priced accordingly no frills. Campers will likely will be greeted by friendly neighbors now as opposed to long ago. We understand the previous problem left. :-)

No size limit and pets are welcome, the front and back yards are fenced off for our dogs as well and the driveway is gated. The woods are walkable for the adventurous but there are no walking paths. Located in a quiet road right off the main road to the beach this is the perfect location for families and couples alike to get away from the hustle and bustle of the packed campgrounds. Our small town is located within a 10 min drive that hosts a great small pizza shop, many mom and pop restaurants, food lion grocery store, and couple of fast food restaurants and some small hardware stores.

I spent a few days here in early December and just extended for the next month. It’s a charming, rural spot with full amenities at all sites, bathrooms including showers, washer and dryer. Pet friendly with trails to take my dog for a walk. Will and Lorie have been exceptionally kind and welcoming and came to check on me during a recent cold spell. Very safe and private. There’s a nearby mobile rv technician, Mike the RV Medic who helped me repair my furnace and was very professional. Very reasonable rates for everything being offered. I highly recommend!

This is a beautiful and private spot overlooking the Waccamaw River. I extended my stay here twice because we enjoyed it so much. Plenty of dry wood for a campfire and having a porta potty on site was nice too. Definitely recommend!

I came here in early November and wound up extending my stay twice because we enjoyed it so much. Connie and Jeff have a beautiful well maintained piece of property with plenty of level ground for the camper. There were several trails I explored with my pets and plenty of wood for fires at night. Plus only a 15 minute drive to the beach. It felt very private and safe the whole time I was there. I hope to be back someday!

Jeff’s place is a treasure. South Carolina is lucky to have it! The campsites are immaculate, their shared space is beautiful and so thoughtfully created; we enjoyed the showers and outdoor kitchen. On-site staff are a joy to be around and the landscape is zen paradise. Right by the river, tucked in the woods, 15 minutes from the beach; this is the place to be. Dude was very nice super sociable. Super laid back place. Chill fire spots and what not. Beautiful nature for the most part. Nice creeks. I just really liked the atmosphere and the fact that there were showers, toilets, microwave, multiple grills. A communal fridge.

1st time camping here and it was wonderful. Staff is extremely attentive and nice. Very laid back and unstressful which is really what your looking for on a weekend getaway to recharge from the day to day. The glamping tent we booked was extremely clean and comfortable overlooking the river making it very tranquil. If you bring children, the site has a myriad of events and activities to keep them busy and having fun. The whole facility is extremely well kept and a lot of thought and effort was put in to create the appropriate holiday theme of the season (we were there late Oct and it looked fabulous). We are definitely going to book another stay there especially with all the warm weather activities they have like kayaking and tubing. We might consider one of thier more excluded camping sites that they offer. Very much recommend checking it out whether old or young.
