Too Many Oaks is a perfect mix of nice and quiet but still close to town. Also just in Synchronous fireflies, which are fireflies that gather and flash their lights at the same time as part of a mating ritual, are expected to light up the Congaree National Park in May. We hunted, fished, made mud pies and played outside for hours, as long as we were in shouting distance for supper time! I am so fortunate to be the daughter of two amazing parents, who had a dream to build a working farm from nothing more than a logging trail in the woods. They built a 3 story, 10,000 square foot house by themselves- while raising a family! We have 200 acres of farmland that features rolling hills, multiple ponds, creeks, farm animals, show horses and countless wildlife viewing opportunities. Wild turkey and deer roam free all over the farm, coveys of dove fly out from the pastures and trails, and coyotes howl in the night. Listen to the frogs croaking, crickets chirping and whipporwhills calling every evening under a magical blanket of stars. Take a nature hike through the trails that meander through the woods around the park. Our newest venture is to offer primitive camping and some cabin rentals around our 60 acre Agripark!
For those wanting to step it up a notch, we have erected a large concrete floor, covered event barn (for parties, family reunions, weddings, cowboy church, etc..,) and also a huge petting zoo barn with an area behind it for pony rides and 4-h/FFA functions. Also, a greenhouse is being erected next, that will teach people about aquaponics and hydroponics! Many things are on the immediate horizon for this special property. While we are under heavy construction at the moment in some areas of the park, many amenities are currently available. Why not unplug from the daily grind and spend time with those that matter most? My goal is to make this land as magical for your family as it has been for mine!

*Prices Bridge being a low bridge also means if you bring a large boat you may need to use the marina or any of the free boat launches within a mile of our site... kayaks, canoes, john boats all fit under. :-)

There is an old dirt and gravel road lined with trees, a natural spring that usually has water, large rocks, a very old cemetery, wildlife, and beautiful wildflowers and blackberries depending on the time of the year. Rosewood Farm and Agripark is my home. I honestly had about the most amazing childhood one could have on this very land! We hunted, fished, made mud pies and played outside for hours, as long as we were in shouting distance for supper time! I am so fortunate to be the daughter of two amazing parents, who had a dream to build a working farm from nothing more than a logging trail in the woods. They built a 3 story, 10,000 square foot house by themselves- while raising a family! We have 200 acres of farmland that features rolling hills, multiple ponds, creeks, farm animals, show horses and countless wildlife viewing opportunities. Wild turkey and deer roam free all over the farm, coveys of dove fly out from the pastures and trails, and coyotes howl in the night. Listen to the frogs croaking, crickets chirping and whipporwhills calling every evening under a magical blanket of stars. Take a nature hike through the trails that meander through the woods around the park. Our newest venture is to offer primitive camping and some cabin rentals around our 60 acre Agripark!
For those wanting to step it up a notch, we have erected a large concrete floor, covered event barn (for parties, family reunions, weddings, cowboy church, etc..,) and also a huge petting zoo barn with an area behind it for pony rides and 4-h/FFA functions. Also, a greenhouse is being erected next, that will teach people about aquaponics and hydroponics! Many things are on the immediate horizon for this special property. While we are under heavy construction at the moment in some areas of the park, many amenities are currently available. Why not unplug from the daily grind and spend time with those that matter most? My goal is to make this land as magical for your family as it has been for mine!

just east of I-77.
The lake is owned and managed by Duke Power and is surrounded by three counties: Fairfield, Kershaw, and Lancaster.
One of South Carolina's oldest man-made lakes, Lake Wateree is known for crappie, bass, catfish, and bream fishing. The 242 miles of shoreline include a bird refuge, the Lake Wateree State Recreation Area and State Park, and Carolina Adventure World for Recreational ATV and dirt bike riding.

There are many eclectic little towns to visit and shop when you are not spending time swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, paddle boating, fishing,or just sitting around the fire or hanging out on your own private dock and island.

We loved our stay at Sweetwater Lake Campground! When we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff, a freshly made bed, and a fire already going. Very dog friendly, clean, and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay! Plus, my husband caught a HUGE bass in the lake, his PB! Will definitely be back to visit this spot!

Weekend Trip to Sweetwater Lake Campground
The site was well maintained, clean, and pretty. There are two bathrooms and it’s a 5 minute drive to a Pilot travel center which is very convenient. There was a wasp in our tent at one point and the owners came and got it out for us right away! The air mattress is comfortable and they had a space heater for a cold night. It was the perfect place to stay near Congaree NP. We would happily stay here again.

Great camping at Too Many Oaks. I stayed there as a stop off for one night on the way to my final destination and it was perfect. Michael is an excellent host who has wonderful tree filled property with nice sites. Table, chairs, fire pit and firewood at the ready, with flat spots and plenty of space to enjoy. There is also a nice old cabin that has running water and a few amenities that help make camping life a little easier, it’s a nice touch to a cool site.

It so peaceful out there. With the beautiful stars above you and the lights hanging on the oak tree. My boyfriend and I enjoyed swinging so much. We both felt like kids again. Even our husky enjoyed himself. We walked the trails . We even met Tom and he is an awesome guy . Can't wait to come back and see all he's adding.

In the dictionary under” Hipcamp” is Michael’s property! He went above and beyond to help me enjoy my stay. The site was flat, quiet and the stars lit up in the night sky. The old house gave it unique charm. I stopped here on my way to the Florida Keys and would for sure stop here again!
