We live at the end of a cul-de-sac and a quiet neighborhood with great neighbors. We homeschool our three boys, but we will keep them quiet between 9 PM and 8 AM! There is not much room to have your awning extended. Also, make sure you have approx. 50 feet of water & sewer hose, as the electric and water are on one side, but the sewer service is in the other. Also, anything over 30' in length might be difficult to fit due to the incline of the driveway.

Kristen was a great host. So responsive & everything was as described. My family of 2 kids appreciated staying there in our campervan as a launch point for Folly Beach and some other Charleston experiences. Letting the kids bike around the neighborhood one evening was great for them to get their energy out too. Thanks for having us!!

Birdsong 1 is an excellent camping spot in the Charleston area. It is clean, comfortable, quiet, convenient to area attractions, and really lovely. There is even a laundromat nearby! Would stay again in a heartbeat!

4 nights at The Hidden Gem

The Hidden Gem was the perfect place for our style of camping. We stayed 4 nights on the property in a smaller class C with no toad. Our 11 year old blue heeler loved being off leash, and we enjoyed having the freedom to come and go without having to worry about disturbing other campers. Although getting an early Friday morning Uber into downtown Charlotte was a little frustrating and ending up being quite expensive, we only needed to do so one time. And fortunately coming back mid afternoon was much more reasonable. On the other days we simply disconnected from the services and drove our RV to our desired destinations, breakfast, lunch, and visits at historic sites. James Island is a quiet and unassuming community and getting over the bridge to the “mainland “ was quick and easy. There are some great restaurants on the Island and plenty more places with great food offerings within 20 minutes or so. James, our host, communicated efficiently and met us at the gate when we arrived. If you like privacy, seclusion, and simplicity, yet easy access to all the area has to offer, this is definitely worth the money

Beautiful property! We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, the dark skies and the chickens! Bought fresh eggs and sourdough at the farm so no grocery store run needed. Great bath house and the outdoor shower was appreciated!

This is the best place so quiet so nice and close to Charleston. We really enjoyed our stay every morning a different animal was there to greet us. I love having donkeys in my motorhome.! Directions for easy communication was great.

Weekend Trip to Black Pearl Farms

We rented River Knoll Tent, it was a nice large open space- good stars! The “glamping” tent was very comfortable and clean. We rented the sauna and did the honey tasting - both were great experiences. The sauna got very hot and the honey was delicious. We found a giant checker board near the farm shop which was fun. It sounds like the owners have multiple improvements in the works as well which I’m excited to come back and see. Overall a wonderful experience and would love to visit again!

Loved everything about this site! Beautifully landscaped with strategically placed privacy fencing and a furnished screened in gazebo complete with TV. The added luxury of an immaculate restroom/laundry room with a private flush toilet makes this one hard to beat.

This was such a beautiful spot! The spots are semi close to eachother but still enough for privacy! We were able to purchase firewood from the host too! Make sure to get there early if you want a spot closer to the marsh. Overall such a good spot for a spontaneous stay.

Dustin’s place is a lovely oasis. The 2 sites are very spacious and well appointed with a very calming water fountain out on the little lake. On top of that is a dog area, laundry, bathroom and outdoor shower. A very welcoming entrance awaits you upon arrival 🌴

What an awesome little place! The animals were adorable, the trails are endless and very well maintained, the bathrooms and showers were clean. It was quiet area. My family and I loved our short trip there and we look forward to coming back!
