The first time we viewed this property, we knew we were home. The woods, fields, wildlife, and house (created almost entirely from the lumber harvested from the land) drew us in. We purchased the home and 40 acres in 2018. Since then it has been a labor of love to make it everything we dream. A campground suitable for horseback riding was the goal for W15266. This was where the original homestead stood (firepit area). That home was transported across 95 on Davis road to become an Amish home. This area was overgrown and filled with rubbish, but still had a great deal of suitable plants hidden in the raspberries. We are continually working to groom it, and eventually, hope to better level the drive and sites and cover them with gravel. We need more and better fire pits and intend to have at least one more cabin- perhaps created from a refurbished corn crib? This cabin was refurbished in 2020 from the original homestead’s summer kitchen (where food was prepared to keep the house from getting too warm). Although it may have been easier to demolish and start over, Julie convinced Craig that the history was worth it. ;) I can’t tell you how disGUSTING it was, but we found treasures like the chair upstairs, the ironing board, and items on the walls and cupboards amongst the piles of Asian beetles and mouse chewings. Our current project you see in front is the bath/shower house. It has a toilet and shower and was completed 2021. With expansion, we will add one more toilet on the other side. The old shed in front, is a disaster. We fluctuate the same way we did with the summer kitchen: bulldoze or refurbish? It currently houses our equipment and lumber, but someday, we are hoping to have a small country Tiki bar. Craig has received the liquor license already. We love tucked away country bars with unique flavors, so we hope we can offer this to our customers. Jeske Equestrian is also a boarding/training facility. We built the horse barn in 2019, and last year we put up a 60x180 indoor riding arena. Maintaining and creating trails has been extensive. Keeping up on the signage and the trail map has been nearly impossible since Craig loves creating new ones with the skid steer on a regular basis! We are working on the pond area to be more recreational in our future as well. Thanks again for choosing us. We hope to see you again! I'm located between Wisconsin Dells and Lyndon Station on a cozy little 3-acre corner lot at the intersection of Highway 12 and Oak Glen Circle. The property is mostly wooded with beautiful white oak trees that I've done my best to preserve. It's spacious and features several small hiking trails that wind throughout the property. Each year, I welcome nesting bluebirds, robins, and ruby-throated hummingbirds. You'll also find several bird feeders that attract a wide variety of birds, along with squirrels, rabbits, and woodchucks that call the property home. Please note: I do have neighboring homes nearby, but it's a very quiet neighborhood of homeowners with no noisy renters. Nearby Attractions Wisconsin Dells – Just 3 miles away, offering endless attractions, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. River Bay – Only 2 miles away, with Wisconsin River access and a public boat launch. Bring your boat and experience one of the best stretches of the Wisconsin River. The fishing is excellent, too. Dells Motor Speedway – Just 1 mile away. Races are held every Saturday night, and the speedway has a long history of racing tradition. It's always an exciting experience, and I've been attending since I was a kid. Chubby's Exotic Resort – Located just 1 mile away. Everyone is welcome. Chubby's is a premier club offering one of the best experiences of its kind in the state. The Edge – Located directly across the street from Chubby's, The Edge is family-friendly and features live music on weekends, along with a full food menu. Please contact them directly for more information. There's no shortage of things to do in the area. Wisconsin Dells offers a tremendous variety of attractions, restaurants, and outdoor recreation. The English Pale Campground is located along the Black River in Jackson County, 1 mile west of the Village of Melrose. The entire property only allows guests and occupants who are 21 or older. Sites/house can be booked 6 months in advance. The main campground is 70 feet elevation above the river, so the beach access paths have 14% grade change . We have 5 rustic (no hook-ups) RV/Travel Trailer/Tent sites "up top", a fully furnished “Manor” House, a travel trailer as well as 2 rustic beach sites and 2 rustic river sites that are located along the river. The property is a total of 70 acres, which includes the 4+ acre beach, a mile of river front and trails through the woods that connect them all. IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION: The river edge erosion wall construction is complete however it suffered extensive damage. The area will need to be repaired this summer (July and August) but not on weekends. The English Pale opened in 2021 and is a developing property. In November 2025 an erosion wall was built along the Black River. This included clearing of a section of the forest, building a gravel access road using 3" base gravel, and an riprap river wall to prevent further erosion. Since 2016 over 60 feet of the riverbank has washed away. ATV/UTV/golfcarts are allow to operate on gravel pathways without any permits. This includes up to but NOT on the beach. A permit from management must be obtained for ATV/UTVs to operate ON the beach. Our property offers a reasonable expectation of privacy and we do not offer day passes as our target guests are campers. We are an adult only property, but not a nudist campground, as that is not our central theme. We do not prohibit our guests from nudity for the purpose of sunbathing on the beach, campsites or sundeck, but nudity is not allowed in general common areas. Part of our nature is allowing discreet nudity for tanning purposes. While we target couples for time together, singles and groups are welcome. Weekend Trip to Oak Glen Hollow

Superb location and set up with the essentials! Steve was an excellent host and takes very good care of the land. The grounds are raked of leaves, plenty of tables and chairs, set-up of string lights, a hammock, and more. Steve was kind enough to drop off some cold waters too. His dog Stella is an absolute angel! The camper was a great size to sleep four comfortably. All of the walls you could zip down into screens to allow air in. Inside there was electricity where you could charge your phones. Funny to admit but the site has the NICEST porta potty ever! It's decorated inside, tons of air fresheners, and equipped with soft toilet paper. The location is phenomenal! It's within a 10 minute drive of Noah's Ark, a Super Walmart, BP Gas Station, the Outlets, Ho-Chunk Casino, Ishnala, and more. Steve and his campsite will have you set-up perfectly for a camp out in the WI Dells. I'd come back again!

Weekend Trip to Purplehaze Acres

Lovely little cabin in the woods! A nice, mostly quiet time, just keep in mind it's on an actual farm so you'll hear the roosters/dogs and such, but pretty easy to tune them out. Overall, I'd recommend staying here if it's on the cooler side of summer. We stayed when it was 95 degrees one day and that was just poor luck on our part. I imagine it's PERFECT in the fall and even winter. Very enjoyable off-grid getaway.

1 night at Pink River Ranch in the Driftless

We stayed in the Streamline. Yard and bathrooms were well kept. The host offers alot of great little things. ( coffee, coffee pot, bug spray, lighter,) little things that are great when you the camper forget it haha. A nice little walk or bike into the village for ice cream or a drink. Would reccomend to friends.

Weekend Trip to Echo Valley Farm

My partner and I really enjoyed staying at Echo Valley Farm. It's my second time visiting and it has such a unique and comfortable charm. 2 nights at River Forest Campground & Rafting

This area is great for being one with wilderness and unplugging. That being said, be prepared as the main store has wifi but other than that not much for service for looking up maps, music exc. Pack your radio, be ready to float down the river and unwind. My host was very helpful and knowledgeable of the area and I had a great 2 day stay. Portapotties where well maintained.

2 nights at Nature's Touch Campground

We stayed in a small cabin and were impressed by how comfortable we were with AC and bathrooms a short walk. The public showers and bathrooms where well kept. Calm and quiet with all the amenities you need. The pool and game room really put this site above others. I was also super impressed hoe close we were to the main strip of (Dayton lake / The Dells) with all the tourist attractions. Would 10/10 visit again

1 night at The G Farm

We really enjoyed our stay at G Farm! One of our favorite parts was being greeted by the sweet Great Pyrenees dogs. They were so friendly, happy, and welcoming, and seeing them overlooking our little campsite made us smile every time. The bunk beds were exactly what we needed for a one-night stop before continuing our trip. The cabin was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. The location was also great for exploring the area. We visited the EAA Aviation Museum and spent time exploring Door County, so it made for a convenient home base. One of our favorite ways to end the day was relaxing around the fire pit. We also enjoyed the nearby ponds, the swings, and the hammock. The little farm store was such a fun bonus, and we couldn't leave without picking up some local honey. If you're planning to spend time outside in the evening, definitely bring bug spray so you can fully enjoy the beautiful setting. The only small downside was that you can hear some highway traffic while you're outside the cabin. Visually, it feels incredibly peaceful and dark, making it a wonderful place for stargazing, but there is some road noise. Once we were inside the cabin, though, we didn't notice it at all. Overall, we'd absolutely stay here again and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy, unique place to spend a night or two while exploring the area.

Weekend Trip to Jeske Equestrian Campground

The Primitive Cabin was so cute. Well decorated, really neat location. There were tons of deer running all over the property and would come pretty close to the cabin and RV sites. The bed was especially comfortable. I stayed alone, so I didn’t check out the loft area.

Weekend Trip to Echo Valley Farm

My son and I had a wonderful and restorative weekend at Dena’s beautiful farm. The cabin was clean and nicely decorated. Greatly appreciated the coffee and tea! The pre-ordered rhubarb scones from the bakery were awesome. My son loved hanging out with the cat, feeding the sheep and watching the chickens from the screened in porch and picnic table. Provided fans kept the cabin comfortable at night even when it was over 90 during the day. We were 10 minutes from Wildcat Mountain State Park and the Kickapoo valley reserve where we went tubing. Exactly the beautiful yet comfortable camping trip we were looking for. Will definitely be back!

Roy as usual was a wonderful Host! He put in Air conditioning which was wonderful! Caught lots of fish! Bass, perch, blue gill! A bald eagle circled the pond for about 5 minutes was bueatiful, plenty of wildlife. If you love nature, quiet, fishing, I highly recommend !!!

Weekend Trip to Paradise Farm

Jim and Mary are fantastic hosts. Everything was super clean and they made us feel so welcome on their gorgeous farm. The futon mattress was firm and the pillows were soft. We slept like rocks. Also, they aren't lying about the water on the property tasting good. We saw SO many fireflies!
