This is my little slice of heaven, and I’d love to share it with like-minded folks who appreciate nature as much as I do. I bought this property less than a year ago, and I’m already in love with it.🫶🏕 The mature cedar and birch trees are my favorite part of the property, but the young maples are beautiful too. If you’ve ever wanted to experience absolute silence, this is your chance. Lyman lake is about a mile down the gravel road, and you can loons calling in the morning and evening. You’ll also frequently hear owls in the evening and at night. There’s a fairly steep hill leading down to the cabin, but you can usually drive all the way down(Sometimes the hill gets slick after a good rain, I'll inform you before your arrival if you shouldn't drive down) There are a couple of walking trails that have been made throughout the property. This is a great location for enjoying all the incredible nature northern Wisconsin has to offer. It’s right on the edge of endless wilderness, but close enough to nearby towns and amenities that you can have the best of both worlds—seclusion when you want it, and convenience when you need it. -3.5 miles up the gravel road is a great restaurant/bar(Rellies Rusty Axe Tavern) -11 miles from El Jefe Mexican food restaurant -8 miles from a convenience store(Four corners) -12 miles from Dollar General -1 mile from Anna Gene County Park(hidden gem kind of a place)Cozy Off-Grid Hunting Cabin — Peace, Serenity, Northern Lights🌌 $60/night Looking for a place to truly unplug? 🫶 Come experience the peace and serenity of our cozy off-grid hunting cabin in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, tucked among beautiful maple, birch, and cedar trees. This is a rare opportunity to experience complete silence and incredible darkness at night. 🌙🌟 When the conditions are right, the Northern Lights can be visible from the cabin, putting on an unforgettable show across the sky. 💜💚 During the day, you'll hear nature all around you — loons, owls, birds, and the sounds of the woods. 🦉 🏕️🎀🌻 GLAMPING☕️🔥 This is a small hunting cabin, so expect a rustic, simple experience(with modern touches)rather than a modern vacation home. Think cozy, peaceful, and close to nature. 🌳 My daughter has helped with the remodel of the cabin, and she loves all things girly, so it has become more of a "she shack" 💁🏼‍♀️ than a "he shack." But there's plenty here for everyone, and adventures are waiting outside the door! The cabin is a fun work in progress, so it will continue to change and improve over time. The pictures may not always look exactly the same as your stay — but we're always working to make it better. 🙂 🔥 Cabin Amenities Wood stove with firewood provided for cooler nights Solar-charged battery with a 12V carport adapter for charging phones and powering small devices(portable lunch box heater provided) also powers lights in the cabin. Upstairs has a TV with DVD player and antenna tv(can be powered with a generator) A variety of DVDs available. Water jugs provided. 2 cots available. Full-size pull-out couch downstairs. 3 twin beds upstairs. Fresh garden vegetables may be available seasonally 🥒🍅 2 kayaks and a gas generator available for a small additional fee. 🛏️ Sleeping Arrangements There are 3 twin beds upstairs, along with 2 cots if needed. Downstairs, the pull-out couch has a full-size mattress. Please bring your own bedding and pillows. Linens are not provided. 💧 Important: Off-Grid Living Water conservation is a big part of off-grid life here. Some water jugs will be provided, but please bring your own drinking water. If you need additional water, there is a hand-pump well at the county park about 1 mile away. Or an artesian spring about 15 minutes away. We live about 9 miles away and live the off-grid lifestyle ourselves, so you'll get a genuine taste of what it's like to slow down and live simply. 💧🌲 🌲 The Property The cabin sits at the bottom of a fairly steep hill. It is walkable for the average person, but you can also drive all the way down and park right next to the deck, making loading and unloading easy. You'll have the entire cabin to yourself. I do have an active garden during the summer and occasionally need to tend to it a few times a week. I'll do my best to coordinate visits around your stay so you can enjoy your privacy. If you'd like, though, I'd be happy to give you a garden tour and share some of what we've learned about growing food off-grid. 🍓🌱 There's also a small, freshly dug frog pond near the cabin. The kids love watching and playing with the frogs — and our dog thinks they're pretty entertaining too! 🐸😅 🐕 Dogs are welcome. The stairs to the upstairs sleeping area are not very dog-friendly. They're more like a ladder 🪜, so you'll want to consider whether your pup is comfortable climbing them or just sleeping downstairs. You're in the Woods! This is a true Northwoods experience. 🏞️ Adventures Nearby The cabin is in a fantastic location for exploring Northern Wisconsin. You'll be close to: 🌊 Lakes 💦 Waterfalls, including Wisconsin's tallest waterfall! 🌲 County forest land 🏍️ ATV and snowmobile trails 🎣 Fishing and outdoor recreation 🛶 Kayaking 🌌 Incredible dark skies and opportunities to see the Northern Lights 🌊 Apostle Islands — a short jaunt away 🌆 Superior & Duluth — just a short jaunt away Spend the day exploring waterfalls, lakes, forests and trails, then come back to your little cabin, light a fire, listen to the loons and owls, and look up at the stars. 🌙🔥 Or simply enjoy the solitude of spending the day at the cabin. 🛖🌞 ❤️ Come Unplug If you're looking for Wi-Fi, this probably isn't the place for you. But if you're looking for peace, quiet, darkness, stars, wildlife, fresh air and a chance to disconnect from the everyday hustle, you may absolutely love it here. Come experience the great Northern Wisconsin/Minnesota outdoors. Unplug. Slow down. Listen to the woods. And maybe watch the Northern Lights dance overhead. 💜💚🌌 $60/night. Come see what off-grid living feels like — "roughing" it, but comfortably. 🏕️🫶
