Since we are not farmers but love living here, the question became "What would be the best use for the land?" Living in a scenic area and already being in the vacation rental business on some other family property answered the question. The cabin is actually a repurposed office building that was built about the time this property was purchased by our family. We moved it to the present location and completely remodelled it in 2018 and added the bathroom. For 4 years, guests enjoyed an off-the-grid experience. Weekend Trip to Olde Tyme Cabins

The location was perfect! We felt secluded in our little camp and were able to hike up the hillside nearby. We loved the campfire with the lights strung around, and there were roasting sticks in one of the RV cubbies. The hot tub was amazing. We did get rained out of the hot tub, since there is no awning over it, but once the rain stopped, we were able to enjoy again. The master bed was comfortable, and the bunk beds have a curtain to keep lights out for later sleepers. We camped in mid-November and stayed warm and cozy the whole time. Our only complaint was the water. It never quite worked well enough to shower, and washing dishes was frustrating. We did let our hosts know, and they came quickly to work on it, which helped for a short while, but didn't last the duration.

So calming and a good place to sleep! We were just spending the night but would be a great place to spend a weekend. Sweet cats greet you, also ducks and chickens. Fridge, microwave, and coffee pot available. Enclosed bathroom with shower and toilet inside. Great little diner down the road! Just be advised there is no signal there or the surrounding area. The wifi works well for the TV but not great for cellphones.

Weekend Trip to Camp Holly

My friends and I had a great time at Cabin 3! The hosts were quick to respond to our inquiries, and the staff were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The cabin can comfortably fit more than four people and still has plenty of space to move around. Both the indoor and outdoor bathrooms were clean. It’s the best place to relax, unwind, and enjoy good company. Highly recommend!

We loved camping on Ambers land. It is a beautiful piece of property, with opportunities to camp in the woods or open land. We stayed in the well built cabin 1. It was very comfortable and perfect size for 2 and dog. There was plenty of privacy and lots of opportunities to explore. We loved seeing the cows!

Weekend Trip to MountainTop

Upon entering the first gate I really like the open horse field. After that it was really cool to cross the stream and drive up to where the Cabin itself is located. We loved how small the Cabin was while also having everything you could need. We also enjoyed walking out on the back deck every morning and seeing the pond. One morning it rained and the sounds were beautiful. The bunk beds and couch were super comfy for sleeping each night. Will definitely be back to enjoy the peaceful, relaxing, quiet vibe of the place.

3 nights at Bear Run Farms

I had a lovely stay in the Big Rock Cabin. The location was very well kept, and the cabin was clean supplied with water and TP. It’s essentially a shed and you bring the rest - so I brought a thin mattress and was quite comfortable. The blue pond was probably the highlight, as it was so beautiful, clear, and a great place for my paddleboard! The whole site is basically in a cow field, and I really enjoyed seeing the cows around the property! The nature terrain is diverse, from open fields, to ponds, creeks, and waterfalls! Definitely a place to disconnect. Amber and her family were so sweet, checked in on me, and even offered me fresh vegetables from their garden! It was a solo trip, but the whole time I was thinking about how fun it would be with friends in the middle of summer. Thank you Amber for a great experience!

1 night at Olde Tyme Cabins

Looking for a unique getaway? I highly recommend yurt camping! My recent trip was fantastic. The yurt was incredibly private, giving us a true sense of being out in nature without sacrificing comfort. It was also very well-supplied and had everything we needed, which made packing and planning so much easier. The yurt and the surrounding area were spotless and super clean, and the whole experience was just plain fun. It's the perfect mix of rustic adventure and cozy relaxation. We're already planning our next trip!

Weekend Trip to Bear Run Farms

I cannot say enough nice things about this spot. A friend and I met here for a girls’ weekend, and it was the perfect place to do so. Amber was so kind, accommodating, and welcoming. I instantly felt so comfortable being there. The cabin, land, and private lake were all beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. It was nice to not have to worry about setting up a tent for once, and the bed was so comfortable. It’s only about 25 minutes from Blackwater Falls State Park, so it was really nice to go for a hike and then come back and jump in the water to cool off. We spent time around the fire, had some cocktails and good food, and just enjoying the quiet that comes with being in the country. We even woke up to cows at our campsite, which are basically just huge dogs... They were clearly used to people, and they came right up to say hello. I highly recommend this spot, and I would love to go back!
