This small 25-acre ranch is just in the early stages of development. We are repairing fences and watering. I just added solar power and several electrical upgrades for RV's. The property has a 2000 feet of grass runway with an airplane hangar, so you could fly it if you have a STOHL airplane.
The irrigation pond/pond yard area is currently available for camping.
Many wineries, brewies and outdoor activities available in the area. Children can help feed or water the pigs and perhaps the chickens. Be aware though when piglets are around at times they are very small and are amazing escaped artists so do not keep food out unless you want to try and pet one they are friendly. We are more than happy to help suggest wineries and brewies in the area or enjoy the bar area we have!
We offer several campsites as well as an in-ground greenhouse as listings.
Guests love staying with us: "The pond at Willow Barn Ranch was picturesque. Show us around the property. It's very quiet and peaceful, and you can tell you take good care of your land. Wide open spaces." Please be aware that we do not allow parking on grass without explicit permission which is always handled on site. Vehicles will most likely not be permitted on the grass itself with rare exceptions.

Our farm is located in the center of the Yakima Valley in Southeastern Washington State. The physical address is 3510 Scoon Road Sunnyside, Washington. The Valley is known as the fruit bowl of the nation. The site is located on a farm that has been in production on the Roza slope 4 miles north of Sunnyside since 1945. Surrounded by fields of peppermint, Concord grapes, and a variety of crops within walking distance it is a fertile paradise. The Yakima Valley has thousands of acres of wine grapes, hops, apples, cherries, pears, peaches, and vegetables. Wineries are located up and down the Valley and people drive 100s of miles to do wine tours. Several microbreweries are also accessible and within 50 miles to the west you’ll be in premier hiking in the Cascades.

(Please note: Although we are a permaculture farm, we are surrounded by both conventional and organic agriculture.) Close to White Pass and the Tieton, Naches and Yakima rivers. The cabin (Cathaus) is part of our local agricultural history. It was built in the 1964 by my grandfather to house migrant workers during apple picking season and that is how it was used until the late 1980s. It is not fancy, but it is cozy. Rural farm camp in Yakima's west valley. This relaxed campsite is bordered by fruit orchards and farms on a very quiet dead end road. Over two acres of field grass surrounding by rolling hills with views of farms, cows, horses, and the eastern foothills of the Cascade mountains.
There is a 1/2 acre pond on the camp property with frogs, turtles, wild birds and wild ducks and geese drop in all the time. Very quiet and peaceful out here, the frogs will sing you to sleep and that's about the only sound you will hear.
There is power and water hooks up at 2 of 3 camp sites. Multiple tent sites , restroom available
Two large and level RV spots are graveled and can accommodate your 5th wheel, diesel pusher, trailer or toy hauler. The third RV/camp spot is grass but also large and level. This grass spot is dry camping but water is available from nearby spigot and a generator is also available for rent at $20/night.
Forgot your wood? No problem, firewood is always available $ 5.00/bundle. There are fire rings at each site for your use (unless burn ban in effect)
Camp host always has plenty of S'mores supplies (complimentary of course) for that campfire treat. :)

If you are into quads, motorcycle riding or 4x4 off-roading this place is perfect. There are forest service roads and trail riding nearby. Jeep and off road groups come from all over the state to ride in the foothills, just 30 minutes away.
Winter time campers are welcome too!
Winter access is easy, county road to entrance of Hipcamp is plowed by county road crews and as host I have tractor 🚜 to plow the camp area prior to your arrival.
Snowmobiles are welcome in winter and you get a reduced nightly rate. Ride and play in the snow around the camp property or drive 20 minutes to foothills with trails and forestry roads open to sleds. Bring the whole group, plenty of room on this property for as many as 20 rigs and trailers.

We stayed overnight and Roger was super friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend staying. The property is gorgeous and private. The restroom and coffee station was clean and a really awesome amenity. It was raining and windy, but the tent site was covered with trees. The river was beautiful and Roger provided a firewood for the fire-pit near the river. My SO and I had a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back when we are in town.

5-Star Review: Fat Pony Farm Corral Campsite – A Perfect Post-Show Sanctuary!
We booked last minute for a Rufus du Sol show at The Gorge and honestly couldn’t have picked a better spot. My son and I rolled up an hour before the show and were immediately blown away at the beautiful and peaceful campsite. The rolling hills, the wide-open sky… it felt like we’d stumbled into a little slice of heaven in Quincy, Washington.
The hosts were absolute gems. They met us right at our site, welcomed us warmly, handed us a card with their contact info, and even gave us ear plugs (thoughtful touch!). They made it clear we could call anytime if we needed anything at all. That level of personal care set the tone for the whole stay.
The drive to the Gorge Amphitheater is super quick and easy, which was perfect after a long day. We loved coming back to total peace and quiet after the high-energy show. No party noise, no chaos—just calm, starry skies, and the most stunning view of the moon rising over those gentle hills. I sat outside soaking it in, feeling completely restored.
This experience was truly a blessing. The combination of convenient location, thoughtful hospitality, and that serene farm vibe made our mother-son trip unforgettable. We’re already planning our next visit!

Great time here at the Hay farm! Shane had recommendations for restaurants in town. Easy to back in with LOTS of room for maneuvering your rig. Leveled spots. Easy hook ups (water/power) and trash near the entrance at the silo. In the evening we saw 2 barn owls up in the barn. So cool! With T Mobile had max bars so service wasn’t an issue. There’s a pond around the corner worth checking out! Also areas @ the farm to walk your pups.

We are Big Fans!! We were here last year for the Outlaw Festival at the Gorge, and this year we vastly enjoyed Fat Pony Farm for Brandi Carlile’s ECHOES THRU THE CANYON weekend!
When we arrived, we were handed a bag of earplugs for ourselves and our friends (the roosters get insistent in the morning) as well as a weather report- there was a thunderstorm coming in! (we fared better than many at the Gorge Campground)
We packed in adequate water, and are fine with the use of a portable potty. Quite appreciated there was hand washing included, actually.
(We found it interesting that other campers did NOT seem to read the info on the website about this being a DRY CAMP. Too bad for them)
George, WA the town is tiny, but has a great Mexican restaurant- easy and delicious to get there for dinner the one night we weren’t at the Gorge.
We also took home a few dozen eggs from the chickens! ( Can’t really get fresher than hearing them be laid, I think)
